goldenruby:Congrats on the bold step you have taken. Just count the stitches you have at the end of every row to make sure that you still have the same number. Also, I hope you are doing the turning ch at the beginning of each new row only. |
Lumiadee:Wow! These are so very pretty! Well done! |
Lumiadee:Congrats Girl! I'm so proud of you. You can make more rounds and also change yarn colour if you wish. |
I think in your px below, you have done ch2 instead of ch1 at the left vertical and lower horizontal middle portions. Check the 6th px in the pictorial and try following it carefully.
|
@Lumiadee. In every new round, you do ch1 over the 3dc clusters from the previous round. Where you need to be careful is when you are starting a new round. Alternate rounds start the same way. Eg, rounds 2, 4, 6 etc will start the same way while rounds 3,5,7, etc will also start in a similar way. |
Lumiadee:Don't be sorry my dear, we are all learning. After you have loosened your round 2 again, take a good look at the round 1 you did. You will see that there are four ch2 spaces, and four 3dc clusters. ch2 spaces form corners for every round. As long as you are doing a granny square, you must always have four ch2 spaces ( for the four corners in a square), in every round. For your next round, you must do 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the four corners of your previous round (I.e into every previous ch2 sp). |
tatacherie:Yes, Tatacherie. Exhausting but worth it. Thank you. |
Hello Class, please work your granny square with the pictorial. I have omitted "ch1" from round 2 (my apologies) probably due to excitement. The correct stuff should be: R2: Ch3, * 3dc in next ch2 sp, ch2, 3dc in same ch2 sp. ch1. Rep from * 2 more times. In last ch2 sp, do 3dc, ch2, 2dc. Join with sl st to 2nd ch of initial ch3. |
Lumiadee:Ok. Take a deep breath. Loosen the round 2 and start it again. Pay attention to the corners. After doing the beginning. ch3, the 3dc, 2ch, 3dc are worked into the ch2 corner (which you made in round 1). So don't touch the 3dc clusters at all. |
