MARKET UPDATE/WHAT I BOUGHT

The FOMC meeting minutes is out, it looks neutral, but the market seems to be happy with it.

This is Jackson Hole delivery from Powell, we are not expecting something different from this. With so much Political pressure on rhe Fed, Powell seems to have no option, but have to make Trump and the business community happy.

Thus, we can resume buying our favourite stocks little by little. I bought _ _ _ _(details for Caucus only), today and it was instant gain (was following the market closely) and I am ready to hold for medium timeframe, this us just a term for the fact that I am ready to absorb sime 20/25% on this trade if necessary. Thanks to commission free trading from VEST.

FOMC meeting minutes for July
29-30, 2025, here are the main points:
* Interest Rates: The Federal Reserve kept its key interest rate unchanged.

* Growing Disagreement: Two policymakers voted against the decision, calling for a rate cut. This is the first time since 1993 that more than one person on the committee disagreed with the majority.

* Economic View: The Fed noted that economic growth has slowed down in the first half of the year.

* Inflation: The committee is uncertain about how new tariffs will affect inflation and is taking a "wait-and-see" approach.

* Future Policy: The minutes suggest a divided view on when to cut rates, with some members seeing a path to a cut and others remaining cautious due to elevated inflation.

WHAT CHAKA HAS DINE CAN NEVER HAPPEN IN A GLOBAL FIRM OR EVEN IN WELL ESTABLISHED NIGERIA BROKERAGES
It still beats my imagination that a stockbroker can lock out clients from having access to their accounts for over 2 weeks or more!!!

This is one if the reasons when we laugh at people that says they are using the FinTech APPs for Nigeria stocks, it is just not necessary. There is no way these other APP will match the quality of service from the like of MORGAN CAPITAL OR UNITED CAPITA it is impossible!!

Meanwhile we continue fir Chaka to sort ozt their mess.Again I will say probability this matter is not getting escalated as they are just Stockbroker's (but a sub stockbroker, so they had a supervising stockbroker formerly Driveweallth).

So I want to emphasis again, we did not invest in their firm, our investment is in varios stocks and the final regulator or Custodian of our stock is SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission either US, or Nigeria Version CSCS/SEC).

We can see that some firms very unreliable Client service

TRADEZERO OR VEST INVESTMENT
I don't know which of these you are asking about. Fir Vest, read previous posts, you will get enough fact about them.

Fir Tradezero Will call this a top end full American stock brokerage. Visit their website fir necessary information. The only thing I will say is that they are for people who can afford q minimum of $2,000 as deposit (if you are in America you need less money as you can go with their minimum deposit requirement).

They accept Nigerians, but the last time I checked, you can only wire money to them, Naira is not acceptable and ni use of ATM card. If you can afford them fine.

I am not recommending anything, go to their websites email them (they are not like our nearly useless local brokers, they will attend to every email you send and even asked if you are satisfied with the answer).

CHAKA PLATFORM OPENING THIS MORNING-BUT NOT YET 100% OKAY
So we continue to follow. Please your account is your money and you can talk or protest if someone try to mess up your money.

Let us continue to email these people till they resolve the problem. They are charging us and making money from our transactions so they should give us service.

They can only get our respect, when they also respect our rights.

I am still following up on this matter. And as I said or as many of us would have confirmed, our share are in our names (I have received physical mail delivered to my Nigeria address on many occasions and I still get notice of meetings).

It seems we just have to wait. We know this is bad quality service from Chaka people. After reading this my link below, I believe we will understand that these people are still learning to be able to handle matters the way their Oga used to do it

So conclusions, your shares are safe, platform not working due to inefficiency or probably inexperienced of current people running the system (too bad, Nigeria factor at play)

WHAT IS THE SITUATION UPDATE ON CHAKA PLATFORM
The Support is making some promise of rectifying problem. See sone of our messages below. Tge oast one this morning.

Against, I will say, as long as we never invested money with their firm we have inly bought shares. We are safe, we do no need to panic.

If they fail to do the needful within a reasonable time,then they are joking with their business. It is either they make the platform work within a reasonable time or transfer our account to another Stockbroker/platform. We cannot be taking for granted. At least we have members of this forum, NSEMPA, our small 600 members twitter followers, our WhatsApp members to inform about the matter and aske them to take necessary individual and collective action.

So let us give them today to see what happens.

CHAKA PEOPLE ARE REALLY DUMP
See the response one of them have sent. We need to follow up on this matter.

The former Managers of Chaka were more responsive than these people. We just need to control our actions for know, so that we do not refer the matter to the regulators too fast.

Let us continue to watch our capital and follow up as necessary. The industry is regulated by SEC both in Nigeria and in US. Also they are under the UK regulatory agency (I think it is FAS or something like that) and equally we can notify driveweallth. Actually, I think driveweallth was the obe that introduced me to this UD stock trading matter. I wonder why they are not in Nigeria (probably markt is too small for them)

update on Chaka Platform
The Guy are trying to bring back the platform. Still not okay, it can open but cannot show our portfolio as at time of typing.

So let us keep checking the platform. The people just look stupid, the problem is what simple communication would have solved this matter.

The way chaka is behaving is what has make me not to have any interest in any Local App no matter the name. All of them are nearly the same. Behaving like deaf and dump individuals nearly all the time!!!

So if you are using one local APP already, please never open account with a second one. You stay with you Nigeria stockbrokers for[b] trading Nigeria stocks, at least you can see their brick and mortal office easily[/b]. Although Chaka too is traceable, so we know they can;t disappear

THIS CHAKA MATTER AND TRADING PLATFORM ARE LIKE 5 $6- I NEVER NEW THEY HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM IN 2024

We should cool down as ong as we did not put money in their investment products, we are safe. Our shares lies with the exchange an the the main Stockbrokers (even not with stockbrokers, but with the exchanges)

Has been a little bit of a battle. Customer service response has not been that good from my side. It seems they are using AI to run their business?

And we know Nigerian ( many Niferian with few exceptions) and half measures. Probably they are yet to get the full set up properly fir the AI !!

But, I am still following up. From your end, you can let me know if you are able to get dome update on chaka's APP/trading platform?

Let us monitor Chaka to see when their platform start working Even if it tis he changing of their main stockbroker that is causing problem, they should respond to mails.

The Customer Service is the poorest you can ever think of.

We are protected as long as we have used them to buy shares only. Our share are in our names. The worst that will happen is that we move our shares elsewhere in case it becomes necessary.

Expect a volatile market early in the day ad CPI report for July is awaited.

So let us wait till after the report to make our decision a better one. Trading prior to a major news is for pure amateurs (we should be growing our of our retail trader mentality).

THE NIGERIA MARKET IS ON A ONE WAY CHANNEL
Insurance stocks taking control if proceedings in the market. Playing this one way channel is good, at least it make life easy.

But we should remember that we should limit ourselves to those that have some fundamentals. The surge has a strong base, and is likely to last for some time.

GLOBAL STOCK TRADING IS GOOD BUT SOME LOCAL APPS ARE MAKING A MESS WITH UNRESPONSIVE PLATFORM

Imagine not being able to trade over 3hrs after market opens.

Chaka is a disgrace to local APPS on the issue of platform that may not open for the whole day. You email the support and there is no response. They should not be looking for brw Customers till they have solve their platform problems.

Customer service is zero.

For our Analysis at the Caucus, I am happy at the new dimensions we are going now. Our daily messages now have fundamentals undertone, whole the technicals just give us rhe finishing.

Personally I am more happy than before to buy some stocks.

For example I can close my eyes to buy a stock like Palantir. Risk to the downside us curtailed by standby orders.

Today is looking bullish and normal in the US market.

Although some Fed people are speaking, I hope they will not derail the bull. Rate cut is a must cone next FOMC meeting!!!

MARKET IS TOUGH
For the past 2 weeks our portfolio experienced some drawdown, personally the fall is big closer to 20% of the portfolio. it is worrisome, but it further reinforce the need to follow good trading habits (keep loses small, avoid trading close to earnings date, any stock can be sold once it hit our stop loss level even if that stock is NVDA, TSLA etc).

Despite the above we continue, the portfolio's foundation is what is still keeping us going.

Also, our being active in the Nigerian market is a consolation as that is a far easier market to invest.

Below are a recap of some happening in the market for the week Just ended.

And using my Ghanaian language of "putting two and two together', we sre likely to see monday opening bullish and in fact the new week and the following one should end up on the bullish side. For now bears cannot withstand the current bullish fire.

The banks which would have quench the bogus increases in earnings we are seeing are now, aided by the new improved capital and which nearly all goes into their lending portfolio (cash reverse requirement, already reduced ) to improve profit in the current quarter compared with the corresponding previous quarter.

You can visit their website or email them for more update. They have everything: margin loan, option, you can short, do day trading (if you can satisfy the terms).

On the other with reverse etf, 2x, 3x, ultra etf you sre playing leverage fir the stocks these etfs are attached to: TSLL gives 2 times TSLA move for the day.

TODAY TRUMP TARIFF SEND FEAR INTO THE MARKET
Many portfolios got hit today. Nearly all no exemption. At the Caucus we talk about getting out of leveraged/risky positions and moving to a set of safe ETFs, at least till some counter news on tariff arrives in the market.

But, some thiefs are so proud that they will tell you they are stealing everyday. And the one day (I don't know if it is selection day or not), the thiefs will steal that one day again. TRADING GLOBAL STOCKS IS A TOUGH GAME- WHAT IS THE WAY OUT
Actually at a time like this we need to motivate ourselves. There is opportunity here but so many mines are on the way.

Even the experts use to have draw-down (draw-down is the same as losses), just yesterday, I learn the oil stock OXY is now trading less than the price Warren Buffet paid.

One way out if possible is to chose a Zero commission platform, just like today I have done a minimum of 4 transactions, in/out in/out not day trading! The problem is that the majority (those that control the market are okay with 1 to 2% move in a day), an average professional day trader enters most trades with around $5,000 at a go. If the stock move 1% the Guy makes $50 and if he does a minimum of 2 trades that is $100: he is okay. He pays no commission as most stock brokers overseas charges no commission (Robinhood, Momo etc, but for most Nigeria Nationals are not accepted).

So, if you are ready to buy legacy stocks like NVDA, MSFT, TSLA, MO, T, VZ etc and hold for the long term, you just have to use a zero commission broker like "Vest" ot if you like just look for another zero commission trading platform. Mind you, Vest has provision for Naira deposit, buy you start with equivalent of NGN160k.

So, I am not surprised that people have been washed out of this market, I sympatise with them. Come to think of it with commission of $0.75 per trade or 1.5% (whichever is higher) for a trade. How will you survive in this brutal market.

Things are still okay in the market. AI is a big game changer, while it is leading to staff layoffs, it is about to creat a big problem on the energy side.

My worry on the coming energy crises is that, Countries like Nigeria that do not plan for the future may bring more hardship upon her Citizens as oil may at one point in time soon, have to go up

Let us see how our Government will handle this.

Blockhains, drones/rear earth, Genomics are sone of the hot sectors in the market. Let us see how Trump's tariff agreement with Europe will influence the market tommorrow. Naturally the effect should be bullish!!!

CHAKA GIVE NOTICE OF CHANGING TO ANOTHER NAME/PARTNER


Okay. We hope the new Partner will bring some improvements like more stocks and something like options trading.

Changing it Name is no big deal, at least we went from Passfolio to Vest. And Vest was a big improvement on Passfolio by being totally a zero commission platform and the accepting Naira and on Vest, if a stock do IPO today, you can see it in the platform and trade it without need to start asking question of bad platform set up as compared with our Local Apps (but the Local are really be having like "LOCAL", seems to be using fairly primitive system), but we are still managing them.

Let us see if the new Chaka will be an improvement on the current Chaka that we know.

HAVE WE NOTICE ANY PROBLEM ABOUT CHAKA PLATFORM RECENTLY?
The platform is taking too long to open.

I realise that any attempt to open the platform takes too long to open. Sometimes one will keep trying the platform for the next 2 hours without success. It is only after sending a message via email to Chaka that the app will then open afterwards.

The above is one of the reason, I feel all our local US stock taking App should just merge and become one, probably by then they will be able to offer better quality service?

LET US FOLLOW THE RIGHT PATH
It beats my imagination that people do not like anything that is easy.

Following the easy path may be better. Take an exam of 5 questions carrying 20 marks each. As a student who want to pass you do the simplest ones first and yo do 4 very well and you pass.

Fir trading US stocks, I have said it on many occasions,as at time of writing this message[b]:Vest Investment [/b] is the best APP to trade US stocks.

Attempt to use others, bambooze, shakashaka, trotro is all a waste of time. Just Imagine now, I have a dividend of $1.26 hanging in TroTro, if I want to buy anything, minimum commission is $0.75 automatically I cannot use that money. I have $1.56 in VEST, today I am looking forward to but a stock like OPEN with that money, I will get full value for $1.56 shares as commission is zero.

To trade Nigeria stocks, use : MORGAN CAPITAL. No story, no need fore incantations, no need to complain.

Please let us follow the easy path. Follow someone who has done what you are trying to do. Learn from mistakes I have made in the past, do not make the same mistake. It is probable that I have lost more money in the past in this market than you have lost or you will ever loose.

But thank God, the situation has changed (I do not chase need again, like I told our Caucus members, our system is like a Custom Checkpoint of when a stock will enter into the PROFIT ZONE OR PROFIT COUNTRY!!! A stock (good ones) cannot become bullish without our system catching it.

The the US market is moving, one of these days, there is the possibility of the market giving us the kind of money/profit we have never seen before. An interesting time to be in this market.

For the market, we are now using alogrthimes as part of our analysis. Thus, some of our trades are picked by our trading robot, yes "robot". As I type robot. I start thinking what is ROBOT, my mind went to ROBOTO, something very big and strong like a giant. As a child just think of a giant as your guide. I am sure you will not be afraid of any bully, the market is a bully, can you imagine the number of people this bully has taken their money and kicked them our of the market!!! Don't be a Mugu in this market you have to be the Maga.
