US STOCK PICKS 10 OCT
Market is volatile. I wonder who are the gamblers in the market that goes against strong fundamentals. But, if we know that algos that want to take advantage of small imbalances are around, then the mystery is resolved. As individual traders we just need to know how to hedge our portfolio with inverse ETFs. Looking at our postions early today, I was just wondering what story are we going to be telling today without our hedging our portfolio with inverse ETFs

Although using the correct inverse involves some hard work, but it is worth it. Another issue that we need to be mindful of is the need to capitalize on this bear market to buy Value Stocks that have fallen as a result of the general bearish market situation.

Happy investing to all. For those going through though time, just let us gather ourselves together, we cannot handle this market on our own, we need a mentor and mind you a good one cannot be free. As that mentor or service provider will be using some software services/spend time reviewing 100s of charts/bandwidth cost plus a lot of hardwork to direct you to the right side of the market.

What we lose in the market is more than monthly subscription payment. How much is the subscription, $4 to 5 dollars a month! Imaging how easy is it to lose 10% of your $100 dollars to the market!!! Let us reflect on this.

General trend for the market is down, and we should have Wednesday/Thursday in mind, if possible those are not days we should initiate new positions due to PPI and CPI REPORTS, thursday in particular is a day we should be mindful of, CPI report is before market open and CPI will dictate wnat market will do in the next 2 to 3 days at least.

I was having the wrong idea that because Passfolio is a bigger stockbroker than these our local APPs, I must have a big amount in my wallet!!!

WHAT IS THE GREATEST DISSERVICE YOU CAN DO TO YOURSELF IN INVESTING IN GLOBAL STOCKS
1. Wanting to do it on your own, not will to pay for mentorship via subscription service. The subscription service provider can prevent you from making mistakes that will finish your account so soon. Example would be buying penny stocks, most of those penny stocks are from companies that are likely to go bankrupt?
2. Relying on stock recommendations from youtubers. The earlier we realize that most you tubers with large subscriber base are doing promotion for those stocks expecially cheap stocks, especially biotechs
3. Buying stock when the news media are taking about it. Sorry, all the money has already been made, you may become a bag holder (holding empty container, when all the substance has been used up by others) soon.
4. Before you believe in a recommendation or comment, investigate the person making the comment. I was shocked recently to see so many people recommending our local APPS, and I checked the previous posts of of the people, they have never reended any stock. It was like when I made enquiry about web design and I insisted that I must visit the advertiser's office. To my shock, the guy told me that he is just advertising on behalf of the real web designing outfit that he doesn't know about web designing. The issue that exposed him was a comment by somebody he purportedly worked for, the person complaint that anytime the website the advertiser designed has a problem, it will take days for tge matter to be resolved!!!

So please my people, there is money here, but we need approach things tge right way. The local APPS too are not helping matters, we look forward when somebody will bring the likes of moomo or Robinhood, Etoro or webull to Nigeria.

Conclusion, keep your money till you have up to 70k Naira before you satet thinking of Global stocks and from it or extra allocate abouk 3k for subscription/mentorship service. Then have a trading system. Learn to know at least one trend indicator (moving average) and one Oscillator (RSI or stochastics).

Finally avoid big losses. The biggest % should should lose on Ann ongoing trade shod be 20% 9f that single trade, with this recovering from that loss is possible. Anything above 20% may become fire that can consume your capital.

The above are practical what I have witnessed, not just read in a book

ONCE SHARES ARE BOUGHT FOR YOU BY CHAKA/TROVE AND CO- YOUR SHARES ARE SAFE AS THEY ARE NOT WITH CHAKA/TROVE AGAIN, BUT THERE IS A CAVEAT READ BELOW
Only unutilised cash can be at risk, once shares are bought and confirmed in your portfolio, you shares are safe with drivewealth.

But the caveat is on these fractional shares, your fractional shares may somehow create a problem, current rule is that fractional shares cannot be easily transfered to another broker and you may need to liquidate to cash. So to further secure our postion, we should avoid buying fractional shares as much as possible as moving them in the case the company behind the APP has issues (this is the big risk). I expect the local APPS to clarify this area (at least they use to read our posts in the past). So the solution to this risky fractional shares is for us to stop buying fractional shares as much as possible or only have accounts with platforms that are strong financially.

Passfolio is still accepting Nigerians, but your minimum deposit is now $25 equivalent, but to be frank $100 minimum should be our target to start trading Global stocks. Using small amounts is what the local APPs are capitalizing on to misbehave, as if you open account with $10equivalent, you may not care what happens to the money as you consider it to be small and with a small error as a beginning trader if you suffer a loss, the balance is your account becomes too small to do anything and you forget it on the platform (so please ignore all theses adverts that are telling you that you can start trading with 7000 Naira equivalent, it is just mere advert just to lure you to open account and the APP may now be using those long list of $10 client base to look for funding probably from Venture capital firms abroad!!! If this is the case, then too bad).

CAVEAT: For what I have stated above, official explanation from the APPS will be appreciated, but from my interaction on the platforms and trading at least 5 times a week consistently at the moment, the above are real facts, supported by official documents in most instances

APP is back on line. We need to troll these people. Just like we used to do in the past, I will now be withdrawing from our account from time to time. Any APP that delay payments without reason will be reported promptly, so that we take note. We have to be our own watchdog.

My ordinary charting platform (definitely abroad), was down for few hour over the weekend (1st since I have been using them for about 2 years), the issue was resolved in just some few hours. This is how service should be!!!

Our Nigerian APP need to learn that this business is a viable one, the money is here (recently say advert that a bitcoin APP has been given some dollars again). These trading platforms should just sell themselves to the likes of Fluterware, or all of the collapse to one company (I still believe all of them together will still be smaller than Passfolio) , maybe they will be able to do better then.
. As emphasized, the good thing is that our stocks are safe, once purchased as the final domiciliation is with DRIVEWEALTH.

TODAY IS BATTLE ROYALE- BULLS VS. BEARS
The bulls are struggling to hold the bears at bay. Yesterday's loss was rather big. I did not even notice it until the market was over. More so, I took my loss on good faith.

Today we are relaxing, no new trade except a miracle happens. Miracle can happen if my defender or one of my bearish hedge (inverse gold ETF) suddenly gain like 10%, waooo, I will just take the money to add to the plan I had on ground (our members are aware) and I am sure I will shout hallelujah thereafter.

I always feel bad when I miss an opportunity or when I make mistake, mistake cost us money. Our trading platforms are like Police, the Police is your friend, but we pray not to have any reason to visit the station. I place a limit order to buy and after 30 minutes, I have to change to market order (you see theoretically limit orders are the best, but my platform forced me to pay that they will show me quote without delay, but it seems what I was beign showed is still delayed!!! This delay thing is why day trading for a small Guy will be difficult, Big day traders pay for datafeed, they don't rely on their broker/trading platform data.

Okay we see after market close.

US should stop spreading their inflation problem around, how can US have negative inflation data and the whole stockmarket (Europe, Asia, South American etc will just go down) will go down because of US, looks somehow. Even Nigeria of all Countries have to pay homage to UD date by suffering a loss today

Okay we are playing inverse for now at least for the next 3 to 4 days.

CONCERNING APPROPRIATE AMOUNT TO TRADE WITH
We should first of all decide what we want as our objective. If we do not less than $100 to start, I may suggest that we wait. The reason is that since most platforms are charging commission, any amount less than between $66 and 100 will loon small and we will not be risk conscious. Firr example if I have 10% gain on $7, I will say 70centa is small, I will leave the money in my account and still be holding the shares. If the account suffered a 20% loss, I 2ill say, OK money I have is just small. I will ignore it and leave money there.

Unfortunately, the money can depreciate by 90% without me knowing and then the loss become unrecoverable. So if you cannot invest $100 wait. Another alternative will be, invest the money in QYLD stock and be collecting your 10%annual dividend yield on monthly basis, the value of your capital may go down, but you are sure not to loose your money totally.

Actually what opened my eyes to this is the introduction of commission by Passfolio, now I cannot spread 10.20, 7, 8 here and there and forget. I buy one stock that I am sure that 8% gain is $8 and I sell real use my profit. From the book we are reading we will observe that 4% gain on stocks are regarded as big by the writers, 4% on $10,000 is $400. So if we are not ready to trade with $100 or abve just buy CRF, CLM, QYLD, SLVO (funds are managed by Professionals and reliable institutions, for example SLVO is from Credit Swiss Bank etc be satisfied with your constant monthly dividend. If you have over $100, subscribe to a good signal service (they are cheap, about $4 per month), and you will see your account improving. This is just the frank advice.

If you want to start buying HUSA and all those biotechs that showed 30% gain in one day and lose 50% the following day, you will just see that your money will disappear fast, that is the reason this forum is sometime deserted by the people that started with great optimism, but cannot show up here again.

I can assure you that this stock investing is better than forex (no dividend, you lose all your money is gone). But for QYLD, CLM etc, your dividends monthly are like guaranteed, although you may not see capital appreciation (but know whom you take advise from so that you do not buy stock that will pay dividend once and will not pay for the next 5yrs and your stock keeps depreciating in value).

This is the truth. .

Surprisingly the stock where our stop was hit was one of the best stocks findamental wise, so fundamental is not perfect).

We bought a Gold stock (our subscribers knows the name). I am happy for the trust people have in us, at least we give some people sample stocks and I am sure they will be wondering how our luck is winning like this (I call it luck as somebody in NSEMPA once said that nobody know Technical Analysis as there was no formal education for it. Okay, for some of us, we went to school for it and we are proud of this. And we use it for ourselves first and we then extend the benefit to others. We are the magicians of the market. I WONDER WHAT IS HAPPENING TO TROVE?
The platform was down again all through yesterday. These people do not appreciate the type of business they are into. When they indicated that they are into USD card PAYMENT business I was happy for them. But if they are handling their cardcl payment business like they are doing with their trading platform, then they are likely to drive away their Customers.

I still rember just a week ago when a lady brought $20 cash to UBA to load her card, it struck me that theses are some potential Customers for Trove kind of business. Also those of us that need to pay for subscription. Services are also potential customers. But the quality of service from the platform did not make me to remember them at all. When will they improve. Also Customers using their service need to start complaining about this bad quality service.
