MARKET ROUNDUP WEEK ENDED 17 APRIL/PREPARATION FOR NEW WEEK
Let us not be discouraged by the current uncertain market. We need to continue monitoring the market.

Now our indicators are less useful, but we still need to continue using them.

For Monday we will get an update on Trump Vs China and Temporarily whatever happen to this will move market direction. But there is no way Trump will not sift pedal. His followers are backing off one by one. For example NVDA CEO had to go China to do marketing due to tariff induced likely loss of business.

LOOKING AT SECTOR performance, Energy and Real Estate were best performer last week. So opening of market on monday we should be on the lookout for Oil stocks.

Trump played the spoiler yesterday. Today the bulls making another attempt. Today's market should end up green.

The slow market has made us to limit number of stocks in our watchlist. Our watchlist in the Caucus remains same.

Market Comment 16 August
The Global market is getting messy on Trump China Tariff.What can we do.

For now we should slow down, be very selective in our stock picks. The market going down is not favourable to Trump and the Ruplicans as a party, so by hook or crook I know Trump must fix the mess!!!

Today will likely be a green day. In our Caucus we have already talk about stocks we are buying.

I like the Guy that talks penny stocks here. He said he buys shit stocks, but he holds them for a very short time. So please let us underline short time, Aremso is good in what he does. So taking his advise do not buy penny stocks and do buy and hold.

You actually say what is in our mind. All these people that are attacking each other have made the forum to be less reliable for news. For me, I just visit my regular forums (so only our various forum is making us visit Nairaland everyday) and I am off.

Please you need to be banning all these people that are attacking others. Especially when people are saying what is obvious about the difficult things in the Country: Light is worst,things are abnormally expensive etc. Then people supporting the Government will come and say it is not True, so all these Government PR people need to be banned more frequently.

WATCHING PEOPLE GETTING INTERESTED IN GLOBAL STOCKS AND MAKING LOSSES IS BAD- THIS MAY BE THE SOLUTION
Just finished reviewing some charts. And I was sad when I saw one of those stocks, I used or wanted to buy in those early days of this forum, but somehow I have outgrown this obsession with penny stock.

The stock SBEV is going into liquidation? Very sad, it means some people's money are going down the drain again?

As we are coming back, please let us know whom to follow and take trade leads from, even in the trading platform to use. If you see anybody suggesting anything here, go to their profile, check what they always post about and see if they are good I global stock. Only take their advice/idea if you see that Global stock is the are they are good at.
. If you are using Chaka, they have been down since yesterday, I have emailed them. I am sure the platform will come back again. And if anybody is having any doubt, company is registered with Nigeria SEC, and if they decide not to do Global stock again, your account is likely to be transfered to another stockbroker. So, we need not panic, this forum is not those Ponzi investment scheme (Chaka should have apologize to us for being down, here again we see the Nigerian business mentality at play).


For today. I have no option but to give a free stock picks. It may not deliver immediate gain,but you will smile latter. BWLP is good, stock is bottoming and always pay good dividends. The company is doing stock repurchase to reduce their number of shares.

EARLY MORNING MARKET UPDATE 10 APRIL
Market starting today on the bearish side in line with the norm that computers must take profit the following day after a previously bullish day. Also today and tommorrow are for CPI/CPE (inflation related reports), each coming out just before market opens.

For now, the News is mainly Trump and his Tariffs and unfortunately we may not predict when a Tariff retaliation will come up. So, we are subject more to news now.

CHINA IS PREPARED TO DEFEND THEIR ECONOMY AGAINST TRUMP TARIFF
The Chinese seems to have the best response to Trump Tariff. They have planned for stimulus packages to protect the economic well being of their Citizens. So they rolled out some plans today. Now the ball is in Trump's court to roll out the stimulus for the American side? We will stay aside and watch the game unfold. Looking at this Tariff war, it is nearly impossible for Trump to win over China. For example, immediately the Tariff talk Start, US importers like Amazon were already talking with Chinese suppliers to bring down the prices of their goods above the normal level in order to reduce the impact of the Tariff!!! So, how Will Trump win in a game like this, when the American importers are ready to do what look like back stabbing!!!

Premarket is looking fair today (see extract below)!!! Discussion on the Caucus today cover the question that in a falling market cans some class of stocks go to Zero (stocks like NVIDIA, PLTR, MSFT, META etc, answer is no, so if we hold such stocks, in case of a falling market we can do Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA), but if you are in penny stocks sorry don't do DCA when market is falling, just get out and activate your stop lose.

STILL LIVE THE GLOBAL MARKET/THE US SYSTEM
Trump tried to be a dictator, however the reality that he may loose support will soon be clear to him. Thus, he has no option but to soft pedal on this "Liberation Tariff Matter". Market changing latter in the day is due to rumoured postponement of "Tariff Implementation date".

It is possible before the final implementation date that Trump will bend to some advise from the good people of Us. For now Elon is distancing himself from this Tariff.

But what do we do in the face of intending danger of the market going down, we reduce our exposure to the market/decide to play on the shorting side. But again we will say shorting is for the experts, we need to be fast. However best option when market is going down is to stay away from the market.

This we pull out our dividend for this week (see the list below), we are likely to move some of our money to Ves, Chaka does not have inverse ETFs to play some hedging/insure our portfolio in cases where things become too different difficult. Therefore, we need to have account with Vest for more stocks and zero commission.

We are still alive and highly optimistic tat market will Turn around. I went to look at the Trump Reciprocal Tariff and I can see that although controversial, but it is fairly objective, purpose is to ensure that those Countries deriving surplus from US trade relations must pay higher Tariff. But th part I don't like is that Countries give trade surplus to US should have been spared (like Saudi Arabia, will check again to confirm), more if Saudi is having surplus on trade with US then Tariff should be higher.

Okay some reason to be bullish in this market;

- More rate cut coming
- Stocks are trading at a discount (PLTR &co). We can buy low

At the Caucus. We are going to start focus strictly on the purpose of investing. Why investing (why are we spending time in chats, courses, subscription, data etc). Be able to generate money in the future without putting in additional work? Can penny stocks give you this, can you have money at a time like this (market is down, stocks are falling)?If you are not working can your investment give you money like collecting rent (landlord build house 20 years ago, but still collecting money, may not even be doing any repair on property, but rent must continue flowing). So our focus will be on stocks like this, only about 2% of our Portfolios will be for risky stocks.

Today nearly every stock will be hit by Trump tariff. Except the Labour report comes to the rescue of the market, today may see the worst fall in the market.

For our caucus, our current play stays. If the market falls, it is okay, we hold on and we should know we sholud tilt more to the value side. More update in our message for today.

I LOVE THE MOVEMENT STYLE IF THE GLOBAL MARKET
If we study this market well vwe will see that after a big move, people always take money away from the table. This is the reason why anybody trying to be Warren Buffett at a time like this is wasting time.

We need a system tat can always tell us when to get out and when to get in.

For today the nuclear energy stocks should be in play.

The market seems to be in control of few people (the big money)?Do we still doubt this, a visible example of this is TSLA, despite the bashing of the stocks and tons of bad news, the stock has refused to go down!!! One this is the reason why stories about stocks (fundamentals, we still need the basic which we always consider in our picks most of the time). do not interest me. I let the chart tells me the story. People are saying TSLA is bad, I shorted it, and my position was going negative (for shorting. I believe it is a defensive play, so we go hard, using ticker like TSLZ ) and I escaped with a bearable loss,but still retain my longs.

So, the moral; f this story is that we should let our carts tell the story. If you have no blockchain related stock in your portfolio by now!!! You may may have to enter in FOMO mode the longer you wait.

Today should be a green day for stocks, no bos news until tommorrow and Feds are speaking daily as usual and this is a time nobody will want to rock the boat and say negative things about the market, so I am sure the Feds will be careful with their comment!!! The people in Government for now are over 50% involved in the market (you know in the US corruption as in Africa is not common, most Legislators get side income from their investments in the various businesses/quoted stocks)
