Masters admission would be tight expecially because u finished with less than 3.0

I feel you would still be given a Visa, the Problem should be because u are focusing on HR and you have no background education in it nor work experience as an HR person.

Your first degree and work experience is related. So you need to go for a higher degree like a master's. If previous studies and work experience was not related, you can go for a pgd in your work experience field. This is what I gathered from this study permit research I have been doing.

Did you also do upfront medical s and was it passed?

Sorry Derel. It's actually purpose of visit. Just change your course and let it be inline with your previous studies or work experience. Look for a 12months course. You can always get extension after securing the first study permit.

@yamen21 how far with the current situation on your application, any green light? @justwise please tender justice with mercy, kindly unbanned the newbies I bliv they have learnt their lessons already, they now understand the rules guiding this forum.

I will like to pin-point my observations concerning trv application and also share my view based on personal experience. Please let us endeavour to keep our application simply & precise and avoid submitting too many irrelevant documents. Most times, It amaze me reading how much people complain about the delay in getting response from cic not knowing that in one way or the other,we also contribute to the delay. Have we all forgotten its their duty to verify every single documents you submitted? Have you ever thought of people who didnt present a quatre of what you have submitted yet they got their trv approved in no time. This people take their time to verify the authenticity of every documents submitted. There is no magic behind it, it is simply a logical reasoning.( only phD applicants get a preferential treatment lol coz the vo knows their intentions to study is always genuine and most of them (nt all) will return back home after study). Permit me to take my boss @tuziude and i as an example. I was once anxious and always checking my cic portal for updates every min at the same time,when I remember how many documents I had submitted,I definitely knew my trv wasnt coming so soon, my application took (21weeks) almost 5months. I assume we all saw the documents my boss presented, just imagine how long it would have taken the vo to verify each document which seems like its taking forever. But we thank God it ended in praise. It is not easy my bro and sis cos the waiting period can be so frustrating but We should try as much as possible to screen our documents, make sure the necessary and the important ones are there, also call the attentions of the gurus in the house to help you verify before submitting. Let's watchout for irrelevant documents so as to hasten our trv approval. I wish all trv hopeful best of God, as he have successfully made it easy for us, may he make it easy for all trv hopefuls and intending trv applicants as well. cheers!

I believe this 100%.
I can remember reading an applicant's post here on NL that was approved within 20 days. By the time I saw what she submitted I understood why. Only necessary Docs and would affect the outcome.

I saw 2 days ago that we even send original transcripts from school to the embassy address? Put yourself in VO shoes wouldn't you wonder why? Or maybe the applicant is a bit confused on procedures.

Another thing is when the explanation is too much, you tend to get questioned from what you have said. Remember they are trained psycologists (at least that's what I always call VOs).

I know every application is different but let's simplify it.

You have an admission letter from school right?

sending original Transcipt to embassy is unnecessary because you have secured admission. They are VO not addmissions officers oh

Add a copy of your certificate to tor application to the embassy and that school be ok.

In the case of upfront medical it is possible for someone to passed his/her medical and still be denied while if an applicant is asked to go for medical and he/she passed it there's a 99.9% of the person getting it approve. We pray for approval at this stage, God will see us through and perfect every imperfection in our application

Once luggages are tagged to final destination, they usually don't leave the tarmac. The handling services officials will use the tags on the luggages to load the arriving luggages into the connecting flights.

Passengers don't get to see them till final destination.
They ones without tags of transfer/connecting flights are loaded to the conveyor belt for passenger claim on arrival of the airplane.

Besides, i don't think any airline would tag, attend to tickets they did not issue or issue boarding pass for another airline they don't have a kind of agreement with. They will only issue tickets or tag luggages to where their aircraft stops if such agrement is non-existent and then passengers would go through security/immigration(if applicable), claim luggage and proceed to the next flight.

In the case in context, i think if Royal air maroc have this agreement with air canada, @CanadianNurse will be issued all his boarding pass in lagos and likely get his study permit in winnepeg since it is an International airport with facilities for international arrivals.

If air maroc doesn't, then he will have to stop over at Montreal, go through immigration, get his study permit, claim luggages and then check into air canada's flight to Winnipeg.

If the Canadian customs and border protection rule is done at the first point of entry(like it's done in US) you are REQUIRED to pick your bags and do a drop off your selve. No bags would be transfered unless you get to your final destination and request for it (na my profession be this oh)So @austinepee if you are sure, then feel free to go ahead @Canadiannirse. But I remember vividly that my bags were tagged to Edmonton from 9ja but still picked up my bags in Toronto and did a baggage drop off at westjet but would check timatics and get back to u

Since Montreal is your first point of entry into canada, you will have to clear CBSA and get your permit in Montréal. The flight from Montreal to Winnipeg is considered a local flight.

@Canadiannurse request from Lagos that your bags should be routed/tagged to Winnipeg (by providing them with your montreal winnipeg ticket) to avoid payment for luggage. But don't forget to pick up your bags in Montreal and do a bag drop off at the check in counter for winnipeg for free.

So there had been back and forth here with no resolution on whether it's possible to get a student status while visiting Canada without having to return back to Nigeria and apply for a TRV. Yes it's possible.

1. By applying while in Canada to change your status to that of a student if you belong to the listed class of visiting visa and temporary residents as enumerated in this link:
