Feygbe: Hi. For the US PCC you will send your application to FBI. You can go to FBI identity history summary webpage and look up police staterooms in your area, where you go to get the finger prints done. It costs $5 for a card. You can submit up to five if you wish. Then you submit that with your application to FBI. The details will be on the website.
The important thing is when do you plan to leave the US? The FBI report takes 10-12 weeks from date of delivery at their facility. As long as you are back in Nigeria by the time FBI completes the report that is fine. Thanks |

Kontagious: Once you've crossed the cumulative 6 months period, you surely do need your fbi pcc, regardless of your highest stay period. If you won't be going back the to US soon (before you submit your application), you should apply for it as soon as possible if you've not. Please can I just go to any police station to apply because am currently in the US |

thesoj: Hahahahaha @ 'mission to relocate his entire family to Canada".
Yeah my bro told me that yesterday an employee of Egypt Air at the airline counter asked him that he must show that he has $1000 cash on him because he has a one-way ticket. The Nigerian employee of the airline said that Egypt Air doesn't want to foot the bill in case he is sent back at the Port of Entry; the employee said that this is because the airline has had to foot a lot of such bills for student visa holders lately lately (don't know if they are lying or not).
Regardless, it sounds extremely illegal for an airline to behave this way. They didn't allow my bro to check-in until he asked them if he could instead sign a letter of undertaking saying he'd foot the bill should he be sent back home at the POE. This is completely ridiculous. It even sounds like an attempted extortion where if you show the cash the employee takes a portion of it to enrich his pocket.
Anyone who experiences this should not let them deny you check-in. If it's possible, take a video on the incident, make a post of this illegal activity on Twitter or Instagram and mention the International Aviation body on Twitter (@IATA), Guardian Nigeria (@guardiannigeria), and Transport Canada (@Transport_gc), etc. Mention that your flight was booked from Lagos to Toronto or wherever.
Better yet, assert yourself and don't let the airline bully you.
@dapoddon: how did you convince them to let you check in? Did you have to find the $1000 cash? There are certain destinations you are required to show a certain amount at POE e.g.. Malaysia Students and Visitors. And there are so many destinations like that. It's their customs regulations. So don't jump to the conclusion that it's illegal. If a person is turned back at POE for not meeting the immigration requirements, The airline is charged over 10kUSD per inadmissible passenger. So what you don't know is that the person that profiled you at the airport and supervisors are held responsible and most times sacked. As for Canada if you are travelling on one way ticket YOU MUST HAVE MONEY. You can show them by cash, ATM printout receipt or bank statement. Some people might not ask. But if you are asked be prepared. This is my field. Cheers |

jnyuwa02: What exactly is the reason? If it's finance, you know you can easily correct the mistake by paying tuition. That would do it! Or get an additional sponsor. As you know there are no guarantees getting it through the Express Entry even with your score. Don't give up that easily. I will advice you keep trying for the visa while at the same time doing the EE. "A bird in hand" (TRV) they say, "is worth ten in the bush." (EE) EE with a CRS score of 465 is not in the bush oh. Would still be going to School Sept 2018 but with PR cheaper school fees and unlimited work. Trust me I didn't give up lol Cheers |

DaRealman1: Good morning house, I sincerely need your advice/clarification on my case. Please see below:
i. I have an HND ii. Over 40 iii. Have a family with wife gainfully employed iv. Have over 10 years work experience v. have properties (land, automobiles) worth over N12m (what do i need to proof these apart from their documents) vi. Have Pension account with balance in excess of N3m vii. Have shares in stock worth over N2m viii. Plan pushing funds into my mutual fund account to the tune of N3m ix. Sponsor (inlaw) lives and works in europe (not sure of her monthly take home as a clinical staff) x. Currently work as head of a unit in consulting firm. xi. I am applying for a professional programme that runs for 12 months inclusive of about four months internship xii. My sponsor will only be taking care of the living expense with a monthly stipends of about $1600 while i take care of my tuition and other logistics. will this pose a problem considering my circumstance? xiii. I have an acceptance letter from Montreal xiv. I also have CAQ from Quebec.
All these put together, will they pose a concern for denial? Please I need your advice house. What is your sponsors balance. What is your balance on SOA Promise of paying $1600 monthly might not work. What's her monthly take home. Does she have a family? Abeg let her send the cash to your account as commitment. Then she would give you sponsorship letter. My view |

Whether it not she does upfront medicals, the number of weeks she is would be stated so she can't form ignorance. Let her better report herself and tell the visa officer how she plans to study and give birth and care for the baby. REPORT YOURSELF and show them you can handle it. You won't be the first.

Cscd1234: If you interpret my telling him to go and read up as "tearing him down and glorifying myself" then that's just sad.
Because if you really read my post, you'd see that I In no way attempted to GLORIFY myself or talk about my personal experience or successes. It's not personal.
Just as the gurus have said before, read up then ask questions after reading up. I don't need to interpret anything thing. It was clearly written by you. Just ignore a post when you feel you would sound like a broken record simple. Others that want to help would respond. Moving on |

Cscd1234: I was just going to ignore this until I saw that you don't want to read up from beginning of the thread.
Do you realise that we all read up??! Do you also know there is something called google?! You want information but you don't want to work hard to get it?!
I don't understand most of you guys on here especially the newbies. You come and post questions that have already been answered in previous threads and expect us to sound like a broken record, repeating answers.
That is why the white men said if you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book and be rest assured that they won't read it.
But I'm really glad that most of us black people are excelling and exceeding their expectations of us. Everyday we are getting goodnews of high flying men and women on this thread that really gladens my heart, all because they made a choice to work hard and get things done!!!
So don't be that black man that refused to read. Better start reading up. If you don't want to help just ignore the post and move on. Instead of coming here to tear someone else down to glorify yourself. Passing by. |
