Congrats! McGill is probably the best school in Canada. How much do you have to pay? I was rejected to their law school. Are you studying to be a pilot? What degree? Have you gotten your TRV? There is special scrutiny for TRV for all would be pilots internationals. So I heard. Not studying to be a pilot. Basically advanced Aviation Operations/ Management. My Degree is in Building (unilag 2008). Being in Aviation since after NYSC 2009 till date. Grew from customer service/ passenger handling officer/ senior Airport service Exce to GM Operations n Marketing. So basically being in the industry for 9 years. Am a TRV hopeful oh. What's this scrutiny for pilots about? Hopfully the Visa officer would have MERCY OH |

McGill is not good with scholarships to internationals. Are you footing their expensive bill? Yes I am. Took McGill because it's the Worlds Aviation Hub. Everything Aviation, airline you see around is governed from from Headquaters Montreal (IATA and ICAO). I felt it's was the best pick for my course and I really didn't feel like going to a college. 1 Like |

Bro! A week before my SPONSPOR printed his SOA his closing balance was 13Miliion. Can i ask him to use a huge sum to close his balance, since his inflow and outflow was superb.? High turnover in one's account shows the person account is very active. However you must have a closing balance that can cover your tution and living expenses and a little something more. If you have to stop the statement with a closing balance, feel free to do so. Visa Officers want you to SHOW HIM THE MONEY. Provided it's not more than 1 month before your application. I was just seeking advise about "ETS engineering for industry " which is in Quebec about the schools on this phorum but no one has reply me.
I beg if you know about Québec pls advise me, may be I should not even dabble into Quebec.
is their admission easy? like u said is their school fees more costlier and living expenses.
I have both master 3.64 cgpa and bachelor 2.8cgpa mechanical engineering, working in power station maintain ing had turbines. my study interest is energy studies:, renewable, non renewable, management, economics,,,,,, anything about energy pls suggest your best. I don't mind even is college just to get me to Canada.
thank you Well I applied to only McGill and I gained admission. So I can't comment on how easy it is. Living expense for Quebec is higher than other province It takes at least 30 business days to get a CAQ So if you intend to go to Quebec please start on time NB I applied for admission Nov 2016. Frankly speaking, August 2017, now maybe too late. No crime in trying but if you could defer, I did advice that.
For your networking stuff, my dear, u have to show very good evidence of the source of your income. Heavy flows with no liable justification may not be lump summing but may raise issues cos a teacher submitting e.g a salary of 30k now having transactions of 2million, were is the CAC doc. backing that business and proofs of fund source etc.
My advice, use another account of yours, let your sponsor transfer the money to it and submit just your pay slip. Don't mention networking stuff in your app. They may tag u as the famous "yahoo boys" going to Canada. And be sure they will check too.
Shikena!! Wetin by this. Too early for this your write up. |

And who told you my salary is 30k. My annual salary as a teacher is 4.2m . Not all teachers in Nigeria are poorly paid. If you want to advice someone, don't be condescending. There is dignity in labour. In any case, you don't know Multi level marketing profession is a profession? You should keep quiet if you don't have any constructive advise to give people. Don't see any thing wrong with doing the side business thing. If the lump sum didn't just start, and it's pretty frequent with narrattions on the transfers. That's explanatory. When I applied for my canadian visiting visa, had salary inflow of 200k which was constant, then I sell tickets so I had a turn over of 34million. I didn't put any explanation because I always include narrations. And it got approved. Nothing wrong with side business. These people just want SHOW ME THE MONEY. If In doubt, they would tell you to pay school fees. Infact by the time I printed My statement for My study permit, my turnover was 62 million 77pages. My opinion 5 Likes |

Overall I'd say they are okay. I used the airline when I came in last year. I had a long lay over (18hrs) in Casablanca and they provided a room and meals for the period. I know some other people here in Canada who used it and there was no major complain. If you have a connecting flight when you arrive Canada, please ensure to check in your luggage. The Air Maroc staff in Lagos airport that checked me in told me that I'll get my luggage in my final destination so I didnt even bother to check when I landed in Montreal cos I trusted His words and also cos I needed to get immigration clearance (study permit) and catch my final flight (Air Canada) which was to leave in an hour. When I got to my City I couldn't find my luggage so air Canada informed me that it may have been left in Montreal and assured that they'll track it and send it to my address which they did after about 3 days. When I received it, all the locks I used for my bags were broken and some of the food items I packed were tampered with. In terms of cost, I think they have the best rates from Nigeria to Canada. You can google 'travelstart nigeria' to compare prices for available flights to your location. Luggage been left at connecting airport Is not neccessarily the Airlines fault. It could be that it was a very short connection in Canada. Secondly am not sure if you have to do custom clearance at your first port of entry in Canada like that do in US. If that's the case, then you were meant to pick up your bags in Montreal and do a baggage drop off at Air Canada check in counter at no additional cost cuz it's been tagged to your final destination from the origin(LOS). For tampering with your food stuffs most probably came from Canada as they would remove what they are not comfortable with (just like the US) Cheers 1 Like |

maziude: Hello bosses,
About this career change thingy...
It is quite simple... if you plan on changing careers, you cant just wake up one day and say I am no longer doing A, now I want B.
There is always a transition process. Same also goes when applying for canadian trv especially.
If you had A, and decide to shift to B, you should be doing something related to B at the moment in order to give your application a chance.
I am no expert in these things but like someone rightly, mentioned many delayed trv due to purpose all have disjointed career paths. That already is a sellout.
In as much as we want to study or switch, we should endeavour to always have a link somewhere and not give ourselves so many troubles with SOP.
I keep saying this, there are many linked fields and sub fields that are being churned out lately, the onus is on you to be able to do a thorough search to ensure you find these fields.
For example, if you studied mathematics/industrial mathematics and you are interested in finance, check financial engineering or financial mathematics. These kind of courses exist, you just have to find them.
My opinion... WORD 1 Like |

My goodness!!!
Bro stop with your bickering and ill-informed posts, you are talking about things you have no experience of. People you see giving advice here are not just dishing it out for the sake of creating a post, they do it because they have an idea of how it works or have been through same situation in the past.
The lady in question asked the house for recommendations and the house is helping her out by sharing thoughts with her, you Mr. Man didn't say anything until you saw others sharing their thoughts, then you went on tackling every post on the subject matter...
There's this aura of dissent that you exude whenever you make a contribution, you want to always rub it on people's face that you know better, come on stop with your attitude, this is Nigeria, you are no longer in the US , learn to keep quiet when you have no experience whatsoever on the subject matter, and learn to respect people because the gurus you see here today have been around for over 2 years now and will be around in more years to come, but I am certain that you won't even remember this thread by September this year should you get your visa approved

Talk of respect and humility in your post. Nuff said. This is the problem with Nigeria. What happened to freedom of speech and expression in this country? People can't express their ideas when it has repeatedly worked for them? I studied in the U.S. on full scholarship, all expenses paid, single handedly got my visa there. Now the same thing is happening for me in Canada for my graduate studies. Yet I know nothing and my ideas means nothing and I am not allowed to disagree with the so called gurus? Please continue to ignore me. I know some are listening and I will continue to dispense all I know and learn in the process too. Blame it on Canadian embassy 1 Like |

Research then when you see options you can ask the forum. Even if the course that suits your profile is for fall 2018. My sincere advise to you is leave your hubby behind and apply with the kids. He is your sponsor and he is expected to be generating funds for you guys. He can join you later. All the best |

No, I am not currently employed. I was unable to find a masters program in business analysis in Canada. And only diploma and certificate programs are approved by the international institute of business analysis. Write a strong Sop and bounce it off some of the gurus here. For the employment situation is kind off a red flag ( just my opinion oh) but just wait for the gurus to respond sha. If there really is no masters in that field you can tell the VO you fell in love with that aspect during your Industrial training( Provided you did your IT in an IT firm) and you were unable to get a masters program that is specific. You have a very good profile, just ensure you try to make VO understand. All the best |
