This issue of misrepresentation is becoming a reoccurring decimal on this thread I think we should be very honest in filling our applications. Also to whosoever that dim it fit to deliberately hide such requested information should be left to face the consequences. This thread is always been derailed by such repeated anomaly and overtime it will not serve the intended purpose.pls I think we should remain focus. To all trv hopefuls good news shall our portion as we enter into the month of August.

Someone getting a misrepresentation mail is not derailing the thread. It's all still part of Canadian study visa. And silent followers can also learn from other people application (lack of honesty or mistake).

If anyone has misrepresented feel free to talk you. We are hear to listen and help each other out.

For those that have not submitted, the first rule of Canadian Visa Application DO NOT LIE.

Hello good people of NL, please has anyone being able to submit at VFS office either Abuja or Lagos without submitting your passport. I don't want to go online route cos I have quite a number of paper documents to submit but I don't want to submit my passport cos I will be needing it and it's kind of urgent and important I have it with me. Thanks

You can request to keep your passport. Ask the VFS staff that would direct you

So what will u advise In a situation where the officer in charge refused to do it for free? and u know. CPs are not that available to attend to all.

Rgds

NPF have dropped numbers incase any officer asks for bribe. But you know this won't work if we keep encouraging it. Well I just dropped that write up for you guys to know it's free. If you decide to bribe it's up to u. Change starts from us the citizens

Very true. Before leaving Nigeria, all I wanted to was to leave. After leaving all I wanted to, was to come back. The irony of life. Sometimes I got up from my sleep having nightmares and sweating that my parents in Nigeria are gonna die and I will have nothing but regrets my whole life if I refuse to come back and see them and perhaps they die. So glad to be back and spend time with my family on an extended time and catch up on all that I have lost. Going to Canada, I intend never to be away from Nigeria that long again. As a matter of fact, I have gained a new appreciation for this country. All it took is leaving it to see. I want to come back and make positive contributions to this country that really needs it.

Reality of life. I must say your point of view is great. THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

you must be related to IG OF POLICE. ..even bail no free for police station

Like I said, there is no charge for police clearance certificate. It's when I started following this thread that I started seeing people dropping prices and numbers. I had to go back to ask their CP and he said and I quote " any officer that collects money for police clearance is collecting it in he's pocket" NPF doesn't charge.

This is just for your information oh.

I am curious what fee people paid to get a Nigerian police clearance and how long did it it take to get it? Was the fee negotiable? Here in Jos they charged me 20k. I mentioned this forum to the police that people here said it costs only 5k in Alagbon. They said that is Lagos and this is Jos. Does this make any sense?

Funny enough police clearance is free. I paid nothing.

This is not fair, we all have same intentions. They would have just flagged that online applications isn't treated for applicants from this part of the world. How can someone apply since March/April 28 with upfront medical yet no details of medical status updated. We were billed higher and online is suppose to be faster. One thing is clear here, their actions are deliberate!

Sweeping some applications under the carpet is corruption. Lol! Joke apart, some applications have stayed beyond waiting period yet they are not attended.

From my research, they are on March/April so be expecting response before the end of July.

While I await approval, I want to ask this question. The clothes to wear in Canada, would it be better to buy the clothes here in Nigeria or over there in Canada? Cost-wise and Convenience-Wise?

If you are travelling this summer no need to buy from here. In Canada you can get really cheap jackets and warmers at outlet malls. Most times what they regard as thick here is a serious learner when you experience winter in canny.

They will soon create a thread : GHANSTU TRV APPLICANTS.

Lol

Good morning all

@derel the earlier we realise that GHANSTU is fast the better for us. Ok if people would cooperate let's take statistics on those that passed the processing times. You would c it's mostly CALASTU.

And let those with GHANSTU that have gotten response tell us their processing time. It's usually less than the proposed processing times.

Oya let's take statistics then we can now predict when application would be attended to.

mine also is CALASTU and I have not heard from them since after biometrics on May 2....Insha Allah anytime from now I will be attended to...

So as a researcher concerned
CALASTU is basically online apps being handled in Nigeria and they are still handling March and April

GHANSTU are paper apps and they are rounding up may applicant's.

Hmmmmmm

So I can like to draw up a conclusion from my findings that online apps takes longer basically.

when you apply from the east and North they will charge you 10k upwards and still forward it to ikoyi... It will be processed in ikoyi and brought back to you..... I did mine for 25k in owerri and I still found out it was issued at alagbon

It's can be issued only in alagbon because that is Interpol.

Why do you all say this?. Its simply not true. Booking a flight now is always more expensive than late august. or early september due to high demands now from travelling tourists. Only if you book now to travel later which is still slightly more expensive than when you do it then

Whether you book now or not, all the cheap classes of economy is gone until Aug 28th (na my work be that). Just prepare to travel late August if you want to save money.

My JD financial institution had been had been sales though i drive Electronic channels. Had a previous workexpereine during NYSC and immediately after NYSC in IT firms.
Summary of my overall skills are:

 Over 5 years experience in retail banking and customer service. Key competence area includes and re not limited to selling of the bank’s products to corporate and retail customers.
 Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
 In depth knowledge of Electronic dispute resolution of all customer complaints eg. POS, ATM, Debit cards etc
 Hands on knowledge of the bank’s policy and procedure
 Manage existing individual relationships and ensure customer retention
 Conduct credit appraisals, Compile and manage loan documents e.g. Salary earners.

As regards my financials: The tuition fee was $ CAD 23,000 while on the study permit form i wrote $CAD35,000 even when my sponsor and my bank account was built up to $CAD 60,000.

I sincerely wish to further my education, i do not know if i should still reapply with the same course and school for Sept 2017.

Your previous study relates with your present course but the issue is you have 5 years working experience not related to the course you have chosen. My sincere advice is pick a course related to your present profession like an MBA (career progression). Get a reference letter from your finiancial institution that states your job description so it shows relationship. Then write an SOP.

I think you finaincials is ok oh. I don't know why it has insufficient funds as a reason. You can pay your fees as an alternative.

Hello House. I'm new here. Please my inquiry is urgent and important. I have just been rejected Canada study permit. Meanwhile i previously had Canadian and USA visitor's Visa. I was in Canada for vacation in January and got admission for MTEI(Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation) in April. My background is computer science and i work in a financial institution with about 5 years experience. The basis of rejection were 2: Insufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada to pay tuition fees... and purpose of visit.
My morale went low when i saw these reasons because the bank account of my sponsor and mine was more than enough to cover my full tuition and living expenses.I I did paper application. Now the challenge is this, the department that i was admitted into for September 2017 does not defer admission and i am considering reapplying before July runs out. Is it worth it? I do not mind putting documents together.
what should i address and what probably went wrong in my first application?
Since i did paper application for the study permit that i was rejected should i do online application now?
or should i appeal for my student application? Gurus please help meeeeeeeeee

Purpose of visit
What was your job description for the 5 years in the bank?

Finiancials
Do the maths your tuition plus 10k living expenses.

Good day House, am so happy for this thread... I have a lot of questions to ask.
1.As a graduate of mass communication, is there a possibility of me getting admitted into a Canadian university to study Human resources Management as a Masters program?
2. Without being employed can i still bé granted admission? Thanks

Am just going to be blunt
Possible refusal reasons
1: purpose of study. Previous study not in line with your current course
2. Employment situation

I might be wrong

Where are you getting this information from.
Pls only say what you are sure of and not kill people's hopes. Someone can still apply now and even get a trv in weeks with a well packaged application. So pls avoid such posts that can stir panic or let people's hopes down.

@bluegirls/ my able V/O quote might not be wrong because just applying common sense and average processing times. Anything after June 17th approvals would probably be last week in August or first week in Sept all things been equal. This doesn't stop all those miraculous 20 days approval oh.

Let's just be hopeful. I fall after June 17th and I have decided not to check till mid Aug. I cannot come and die abeg.
