Webmasters / Re: Must One Be Good In Mathematics To Be A Programmer by yomex4ever: 8:58pm On Nov 01, 2010 |
You don't have to know maths to be a good programmer, but to reach the top of the software development, you need have excellent mathematical skills unless you might be considered a mediocre in the field. Most of the applications we use today whether it is facebook or google depend on hardcore algorithms which need a good grasp of mathematics. Most importantly, you need to be able to use your logical thinking skills to solve real life problems. If a candidate for a job goes for an interview which involves programming in England, USA and other top IT countries, you might have to solve puzzles which require good mathematical and logical thinking skills. Candidates for programming jobs here in the UK are usually Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Physics graduates, although some top programmers here didn't bother going to a University due to their experience coding from a very young age. |
TV/Movies / Re: This "lost" Of A Thing: by yomex4ever: 4:04pm On May 13, 2009 |
Lost is actually my best TV show even though some things like the time travel loop seems to be a bit confusing. Who is Jacob? We might find out in the season finale today. |

aydewale, u have to add more cash to your bank account. Does your scholarship cover your travel expenses, rent and other miscellaneous expenses? You have to be able to prove that you can sustain yourself. I think the cost of living in Alberta is a bit higher than other provinces. Like igbogolo said, you need to show them you have liquid cash in your account. |

igbogolo: Your application could be turned down if you didn't apply with originals. If you are lucky, they will request for an interview and tell you to bring the originals. I think you should read the instructions again. |

She asked me to bring additional bank statements and tax clearance later before I could be given my medical form. My sponsor wasn't around during the period, so I emailed them that I couldn't bring some documents. I was then told to pick up my medical form after a while. I guess they were suspicious because it was taking too long for me to bring the documents because I knew they wanted to give me. Once you do you medicals the ball is in the court of the applicant. It is very important that your bank statement shows you have the financial capability to finance your stay in Canada. |

Actually I am reapplying for a study permit. I submitted my documents on the 2nd of June, exactly 3 months to my start date. I was denied a visa for the Jan session. I did the Interview and medicals. I was denied when i couldn't provide some financial documents that were requested after the interview. This time I provided them all required documents. I hope I get a positive reply at least next week. |

This was an auto reply message sent to me when I sent them an email. "This acknowledges receipt of your email to the Lagos visa office. Kindly note that we currently are catching up on a backlog of applications to be processed. We are currently processing Visitors application received on May 15, 2008. We give priority to Student cases starting their session in July 2008. We are still processing Workers applications on a First In First Served basis. we have to wait till month end.maybe go there the last week of july". |

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by yomex4ever: 3:24pm On Oct 11, 2007 |
As for me, it is either kwaku or ofu that should win. d rest r just useless. i am very sure that if there were no cameras richiana will have had some nice bumping on the kitchen floor and in the lounge. how can u do that to ur dear wife. r u sure this dude is married sef. one day he decides to break up, another day he is kissing tatiana; the guy is really confused. i don't see d reason why ofu supports them; she talks about God a lot and will God support that kind of act. Code and boreen just get on my nerves, especially maureen. they just kiss from morning till night without tryin to do somethin different. i think ofu is showing the green light to the guy who is 2 years younger than her to take next step after bb2. she always says that he is the guy she ever truly loved. as for me, i think she wants to get married quickly before she is no more appealing i.e she comes of age. anyway i still like her. it seems to me that kwaku has studied all the characters in the house- he is going to get btw richard and tatiana soon. tat has a crush on him kwaku or ofu for d money. |
NYSC / Re: New NYSC Quota System: What Is Your Opinion? by yomex4ever: 1:28am On Jul 25, 2007 |
This NYSC should be scrapped. It is a complete waste of time. In camp there is no adequate basic amenities, if you get bitten by a snake that could be the end of your life. Only the rich ones are usually lucky to get posted to big companies. I don't still understand why graduates should be sent to teach just like that. To be able to teach, you must have at least attended a training school for teaching; not all people, even first graduates are able to pass knowledge easily. |
