Hello

Please I need help

I just paid for my visa application and I am the process of booking for appointments on tsl website....I am doing a selfservice.... if I add only sms charges the proceed to checkout for payment is not ALIGHTED..... please do I need to click “upgrade to super priority”? because each time I click on it... The proceed to checkout is alighed but with additional charges in Pounds above the Sms charges.

Please help as I intend to go for d appointment on Monday

you need to avoid the 15mins past times. eg: 8:15 , 9:15, 10:15, etc. those are for super priority. find a day that has other timeslots such as 10:00, 10:30 etc. select that and you'll be fine. seems standard appointments are from next wednesday. cheers

Write what is in your statement. Even though the ukvi does not have the right to request ur closing balance from the bank, they have avenues for confirming the authenticity of your bank documents. I am very sure of this. Goodluck.

chuksbenin. please when and where did you apply? let us know your timeline. this is not the first time I am asking, and I told you mine when you requested

Hi all. Please I need some advice...
I applied at Ikeja VAC on the 8th of August.
Paid for courier service to my state of residence, as it would have been terribly inconvenient going back to pick it up.
Got decision mail on the 25th.
Got collection/courier mail at about 10am on the 30th (yesterday).
I was told it had been dispatched, but up until now, I'm yet to get the tracking details from TLS.
I have posted a complain on the website, but there is no phone number available to call.
Please anyone else with similar issues; and is there anything else I can do besides waiting?

did you go for interview on the 8th, or that was when you applied?

When did you receive the mail, today? Wow does that mean they need more time to make a decision? Maybe you should call them, what do you think?

Oh okay. Seems am the only one left among the applicants that applied early this month to receive decision mail.

hello zaty. I just called UKVI. they said a decision was made on my application yesterday, though I am still yet to receive decision mail. I think it takes sometime for the decision mail to be sent, as I remember that when mzsi called, they told her a decision had already been made, but it still took her 2 extra days to receive the decision mail.

I am hopeful you will get your decision mail today. here is UKVI number if you need to call to confirm the status of your application 01 440 6203

Guys, let's not forget it could also more than 15 working days, as 1% of July applications in Lagos were processes under 30 working days. But by Gods grace we will all have our own processed under 15 working days. @mcstar, how far your decision mail?
@Zaty. Don't worry, be happy. You'll get it tomorrow by God's grace.

Actually I had the same issue but then I confirmed it from a friend who works at the Imperial College. The 22:00 is when they close for the day and take the mean fluctuations for the day. They use the last trading day to arrive at the average of the next trading day. So you don't have to print a day before. The date is there for u. You were lucky the rates were almost the same for the two days in question. Lol. Congrats man.

UKVI doesn't actually need you to even submit the Oanda printout. They verify themself and use the applicable rate.

The person that sent you that email is clueless. Check UKBA website it stated clearly there.

lol... @justwise the person is not clueless (the mail was sent by VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk acknowledging receipt of application), it is just @chucksbenin who interpreted it wrongly. this is an extract of the mail for everybody to make their own Judgement.

Please note that UKVI aims to complete all Visit Visa applications within 15 working days and all Settlement Visa applications within 12 weeks of the application date. If it is not possible to complete your application within this timeframe a member of our team will contact you to explain why.

Have a niceday everyone. @zaty and @mcstar, please don't forget to inform the house if you get your decision mail today. Have a wonderful day.

Nothing o. Do you know of anyone who had their interview earlier this month and has gotten a decision? Standard service I mean.
Asides from those in lagos, I do not know anybody. But since we have a positive news after 16 working days for Abuja, we can use that as our reference.

No not yet I was interviewed on 10th of August. Your's was 4th o August right?
Abuja seems to be slower than lagos at the moment. Even for July applications onUKVI site Abuja had 37% processed on 10 days while lagos had 43%. But I am hopeful you'll get your decision mail before the end o the 15th working day.

BarryJones:
Thanks
Please can I also pay my Tuition using First Bank Form A.?
I was planning to use Diamond Bank, but someone on this forum discouraged me, saying Diamond hasen't approved any Form A since August 4th.
Please how long will it take with First Bank? & whats the current rate.

worry359:

You should have applied when the rate was lower rather than be guided by strangers here.
At worst you might have been refused, you may have paid by now.
Now you are starting fresh with the rate rising.

Also no good asking the rate here, by the time you get to the bank it will have changed again.
Stop asking questions and get to the bank to do something tomorrow.

here is the question he asked today, and here is my reply some minutes later:

BarryJones:
Please House

I went to Diamond Bank today to inquire about using Form A to pay my tuition.
I was told I will incur the following expenses:

1. 1% + 5% VAT of Naira equivalent.

2. $25 CBN charge

3. 5000 Naira Telex charge

Please did anyone experienced this?
Is this how its done? These charges are high. I might have to look for an alternative.

My honest opinion to you is the charges are negligible compared to your school fees, and your major headache right now should be whether they will pay your fees in time. FORM A is no more as quick and easy as it sounds. Diamond bank seems to be your best option at this point. but I must also let you know they have not been able to deal any FORM A since 4th of August. so if you have any alternative that is NOT form A, use it.
If form A is your only option, then I advice you go with Diamond bank. but ask the house if anybody has had any success with form A recently, if yes, thne use the bank they used.

I also heared Firstbank can do a swift transfer to your school, and they will charge you at a rate slightly higher than CBN, but when I went to Abuja branches, they said you need to have a Domiciliary account.

If you are in Lagos, just find out (I guess you can do it in Lagos. you know connection helps a lot).

@Barryjones, you can still do the form A tomorrow, I do not want to be the person that discourages people o. I am just giving you information for you to USE AND MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT.
