Mr_Anony:

I'll quote myself from another thread. This is what I said:

".........I will go on to say that for anything to be a true standard for morality
1. It must be all-powerful or at least more powerful than man i.e. must be powerful enough to punish evil and reward good.
2. It must be omniscient i.e. must be able to properly know and understand everything and every motive
3. It must be all-seeing i.e. must be able to see a case from every possible angle. No evidence should escape it.
4. It's laws must agree with man's conscience but must be able to determine when man deviates from the dictates of his conscience.
5. It must be impartial and must deliver justice irrespective of persons.
6. It must not waver and must not change with the wind i.e. what was once evil will not suddenly become good and vice versa(note this is different from it's permissiveness)
7. It must essentially be singular i.e. it must be of one mind and purpose and must not be self-contradicting.

It is to the extent that our legal systems meet these criteria that we justify them. Do you agree?"

unfortunately no such thing exist or has been proven to exist, no religion 'God' fulfill all these

Morality is kinda synonymous with ethics...it has never been and i dare to say will never be absolute and constant...its about what is percieved as good, anything good is just what the majority at any point in time and at any geographical location feel and accepted to be right by their concience and judgements...its not innate or intrinsic and does not need any authority. thats why we have laws and constitution that guide us, we made them and change them when our knowlege or interactions evolve...maybe then it becomes some sort of authority.

Batam: So many Nigerians are suffering from egoism. What is wrong in wearing Aba made shirt? Most of these shirts are not inferior as we think because most of the materials are imported. We are only craving for foreign names to look for unnecessary attention. Let us lay aside all pride and patronize made in Nigeria products

favorfavor: @yoommy2sure you are a liar it was actually artificially tried by scientists on penguins after 2 months the penguins went back 2 the opposite sex and even if animals do it and you are like that it does not make it normal n by the way what concerns nigerian blogs with ander cooper being gay
normally i wont reply this, but is there any sense in what u posted, animals are inherently homo or hetero and then ur so called scientist tried creating an 'unnatural' gay penguin' and u tink thats a proove that homosexuality isnt found in animals...infact their finding only prove that homosexuality is not as a result of absence of the opposite sex but just intrinsic, my dear learn to use search engines well. And thanks for calling me a liar

Asking for directions without knowing where you want to go is complete insanity. I wouldn't even for a second, look at someone's Resume, who appeared to have been everywhere and knows everything. It reeks of desperation, and lack of objective. It immediately tells me this is a sort of person whose life goal is to graduate from school and work with "a company"!
well said, but r we not to put into consideration the situation we are dealing with, i do believe that the hunger to study more is something to applaud, shld one continue on a path even wen the opportunities are not coming at all. I dont think management or project based certifications that hav applications almost anywhere means one is clueless, i believe some multinationals understand this and so recruit people of diverse background....my tot anyway...pls more input from u
Foreign Affairs / Re: Anderson Cooper Admits That He's Gay by yommy2sure(m): 10:11pm On Jul 03, 2012
Jonwesley: The fact remains that keeping the silence for this long means he is afraid of the backlash that wld come with his revealation of him being gay and i'm not surprised of his silence but shocked about Andy Cooper being gay. Anyone who involve in same sex knows it is a wrong practice and highly abominable and condemnable too. The audacity to confess now is gaining ground now becos of inevitability of the end of man and the world.God made man and found that it was not good for the man to be alone, He then made a help mete, (not MATE) as erroneoulsy held by some pple, a woman with a rib taken out of the man. The woman means- taken out of man. He created them males and females. "Males and females created He them". At the end, men shall be lovers of themselves...... the Bible has said everything.

Of the phyllum of mammals, man is the only sad creature that has changed this order. Or can anyone tell me where the male dog, elephant, cat etc makes loves with another of his male counterpart? The body of a woman is made so sensual for the man to react positively to it and if a man's senses go opposite, then his head need to be re-examined, period.
pls update ur self before u post pls....do some research homosexuality has been found in other animals: mammals like gorilas, some fishes, some birds...abeg google is ur friend so get that into ur thick cranium before u condemn another product of nature! And by the way a smart phone is good for man too..God in his infinite shld have provided him with one....shiooor

This is the height of ignorance, where in the Bible promotes human sacrifice? Pls dont talk abt wat u dont know cos it only makes u look stuuuupid! Jesus willingly gave His life for us cos He loves us so much and does not want us going to hell. Pls dont talk abt wat u dont know.
for your mind now you don talk sense...i often wonder y people put their brain in their pocket whenever their religion is put on trial!
Religion / Re: Did African Religions Need To Be Substituted? by yommy2sure(m): 11:25pm On Jun 30, 2012
I find religion a bit complex and think a lot of ppl just pick the ones that appeal to their senses. When 'they' brought civilization which opened our eyes to see that a lot of our belief like killing of twins, ogbanje, abiku, abobaku...etc r not just wrong but intrinsically evil, they brought susbstites which to be realistic is more logically reasonable...not saying they dont have their own elements of myths and the rest...if we look@ it in one way, which makes more sense say: droping a calabash filled with 'eko and boiled egg with palmoil' @ a t-junction claiming some spirit will feed on it and taking bread and sweetwine in remembrance of the 'the saviour'...none seem to(@least to me) but in totality the imported faiths seems to be more 'open' and better structured. But better still people evolve in their vaule and way of thinking..the west that brought christianity is fast growing in atheism and agnosticism...and its gradually spreading to africa too...i tink we shld emphasize our culture even in the imported faiths like in traditional churches, and in music, entertainment, education etc....but advocating the elimination of the imported faiths especially with thier threat of hell and promise of paradise is near impossible...lovely thread..thumb up

Career / Re: Chemical Engineering Versus Mechanical Engineering Forum by yommy2sure(m): 6:16am On Jun 26, 2012
all aspects of engineering are important but for the sake of this comparison, mechanical engineering stands out....i mean u can hardly define engineering itself without mentioning machine and 'machines, mechanics, mechanical' are all from the same family of words...most aspects of engineering root out from mechanical engineering...its very broad and so incomparable with chemical engineering that is still emerging... The funniest is chemical engineers calling themselves corrosion and material science experts...misplacement of priority...that is a major aspect of metallurgical and materials engineering which is itself a subset of mechanical engineering!
