asadike:What people who you have believed hook, line and sinker use against GMB is the way he fought corruption. What would you rather have, someone who jails corruption officials using military laws ( which may I remind you was the laws under which GBM operated). Or someone who when asked about the reportedly missing 20BN had this to say "If anyone steals $50 billion or $20 billion anywhere America will know, they will tell you where it is; it is their money."? Who would you rather have, someone who kicks against indiscipline or someone who says stealing is not corruption? What would you rather have, someone who doesn't have a certificate or someone who lies about everything including his age? He still hasn't explained how he was born in 1951 and remembers how he went to Porthacourt in 1955 and according to him, he remembered what happened at age 4. Or how at age 4 he went to primary school. I was born in the 80s, even I was not allowed to enter school because my hand can't touch my left ear and I was circa 8 years. My sister got admitted and I was not. You can argue that I was too short and yes, I am short but do you honestly believe a 4 year old can use his right hand to touch his left ear putting his hand over his head like obtainable back in dem days? Honestly? |
kaecy5:INEC sir is an independent body, AIT is not. |
nationwide1:I think I better ignore you. I believe in this saying "don't argue with fools. When you do, they will drag you to their level and beat you with experience". |
asadike:Can you explain how he failed? Maybe we should take the argument from there. Ignore the intruders that are going to likely want to intrude you and I, let's educate each other. How did GMB fail sweet heart? |
menesheh:They are not refugees? Do you have the prove to back up your claims? Do you think they want to be in Niger instead of Nigeria? What does Niger have that Nigeria doesn't have? Aside security of course. |
asadike:What you failed to understand is that having tried GEJ for close to 6 years, we know what he can do. He can't be better than the GEJ we already know. However, we are yet to try GMB. He can possibly be worst than GEJ but he can as well be better than him. |
okosodo:With Jona's money? He gets paid to do a job? |
nationwide1:Are you so daft that you do not know he didn't mean lead by carrying guns? He meant leading by being a cheer leader. Some of you have been made very daft by your sentiments. Shameful. |
Noblechyk: Mikel went for trial where? The Mikel we know or another Mikel? U must be a millenium fool to hav typed d above rubish. Ur post is jus a self subjection to modern slavery. Only Vermallen does better than Obaobona in Arsenal back four. Invitation for trial is an embarrassment in the highest order. No offence dear but repent so we can move forward.you foolishly show you igorancy and you dare call someone a fool? Look at the mirror and you will see the fool in there. Mikel went for trial with lyn olso oga. Just immediately after Finaland 2001. And even then, if he didn't go for trials, can the Norweyian league be compared to ours? Mind you, down there, it is easy sending the scouts over to watch them play for several weeks ( even Fabregas confirmed he was watched several times before signed ). Can an oyinbo man possibly come to Nigeria to watch the players in the local league so regularly? Is the style of play the same? And to make it worst, you compared him to Arsenal's worst defender Vermaelen. People just watch football with their eyes, no their brains. He is in the class of Ignasi Miguel and Miguel went for trials. |
Diasporan: Bro i don't know when you started watching football but if you had watched Ishola Shuaibu play you will know Wenger made a wrong decision then. This is far back 2000.The Player in question was in his prime then though he is retired now from Football.Lastly go do your research properly Arsene Wenger rarely sign people through trials. They already have a rich Feeders team to go select from so going for trials in actual sense is a mere futility in Arsenal and players and scouts know this.Which of the Ishola Shaibu are you on about? The same one who was back then regarded as the next Okocha that played with Julius Berger when they were in Lagos? Common mate, even in the local league then, he was not the best. He had the likes of Segun Abiodun, Kabiru Alausa and a good number of others ahead of him. And after failing the trial at Arsenal did he go on to do well else where? Or do you just want to argue with sentiments? The players you have mentioned, which of them went on to do well with other clubs? Name me one Nigeria player that went on from the local league to a top club? And some on here go about saying African players are treated like poo? Based on what facts if I may ask? Was George Weah treated like poo? Ibrahim Bakayoko was? Okocha ( who treated himself like poo anyway ), Kanu? Drogba was? Eto? If you are not good enough, you sit on the bench and that doesn't in anyway amount to been treated like poo. Over sabi dey kill us for this country. Someone from a local league that doesn't get proper TV coverage refusing the opportunity of been assessed by a top club like Arsenal? Headsgone. |
The boy is just as guilty as the boy here. Does it mean anyone can pass an exam he or she fails by having someone in high places? Plus what is the proof that the boy actually did sent the text? There is proof that his marks were upgraded, what proof does the school have that he was actually the sender and not someone else? |
nep2ra: The federal government has restated its plan to achieve 10,000 Megawatts of electricity by the end of the year.Where the this guy get the part I have made bold from? God knows, I have not had light in my area ( Lagos ooo ) for over 3 weeks now and it has been like that since January. |
Chiddysville: I don' t know why these haters are scared of Gej contesting in 2015. Elections are not won on the pages of newspapers or on nairaland; one thing I know for sure is that if any election is conducted today in Nigeria, Gej will still win hands down. most times, I laugh at fools that think they can use propaganda to deceive Nigerians but we know better. Gej will continue to have our full support on his transformation agenda which has started bearing fruitsBros, I will appreciate if you can kindly tell us more about these so called transformation agenda and what fruit(s) they have bore so far. Back up your claims with facts please. |
thelastPope: I know you will gallop into hiding after posting trash about a foolish human being like Buhari. Can you show me one thing that they used over 200 billion PTF fund to do? Just one tangible one still visible today? nonsense!Immaturity gets another definition from you it seems. Lad posted something Buhari was bold enough to do which so many of the recent past administration refuse to embrace and you go about talking about how Buhari refused to support demoracy. He might have but that doesn't in anyway eliminate what he did for good and the point of discussion is never whether he supported demoracy or not. Stay on topic mate. You sounded like someone who has an agenda. |
Problem with this young boys is that they grow up now and decide they do not want to play football. Ipswich's keeper a while ago is proof of this. |
Lero15: so u mean man u & chelsea wd pay less to dat of bolton? When he left PSG, he had many offers but chose Bolton cos they offered the biggest bonus. The archive is your friend here mate. |
akintun: I think it should have been given to Okocha at least once. he deserved it at some point. If we judge by that then Okocha should have won it in 2004 as he was hands down the best player in Africa that year. Got Bolton to the semis of the Carling cup ( now capital one cup ), disgraced Arsenal, Chelsea, United and even to some extend Liverpool. He was even top scorer at the Afcon that year. However, like others, I blame his greed. I am one of those who strongly believe he had what it takes to be better than Zidane unfortunately he chose money. He would have been more talked about if he had joined United in 1998 when they wanted him ( when he was with Fenerbache and they beat United 1-0 at old tradfford ) or when Chelsea wanted him while he was at Bolton. I am one of his greatest fans but he is a disgrace and a big disappointment. |
Symphony007: I don't just know what this woman's problem is..she is just setting herself up for a monumental embarrasment of her currently respected image. She is going around saying all these things and non of her former cabinet ministers like ninadi usman who was the former finance minister or charles soludo are supporting her or producing facts. If this government takes her on squarely and she is left dangling with no support or proof, she's gonna be sorry!!Are you suggesting she should allow herself to be compromised like others you mentioned have? How come the government have never come out to properly defend themselves instead of going for cheap blackmail like they have always done? Any reason why they don't want the public debate? Ride on Oby. |
This is another reason why NCC need to stop in and stop this madness. What is the discrepancy all about? We are complaining about why BB users have pay 1500 for unlimited and other phone users have to pay same amount for capped data. Why this, why is NCC not looking at Internet users? |
Yassar2688: Try MTN Hynet.Did you read the thread before posting this rubbish? People are complaining about the pricing scam and you have the impetus to post your so called cheap mtn internet rubbish here? 10GB for 16k? That is 10GB for 100 dollars? Is that what is obtainable elsewhere? What exactly have you added to this thread other than shoving in our faces your overpriced and possibly very slow good for nothing service? Disgraceful scumbag. |
Mobsync: Funny Nigerians, always wanting the best for less. Greedy people. Pay quality money to get quality service. Imagine a network giving u free mb, free mb u can't use in ur house due 2 poor service. I laugh when I see students climb in trees to use their free mb 2 browse....lol#Seriously? Mtn is a big company by any standard, if verison and so many other companies can give out good quality service for less than 1/3 of what MTN is giving, why can't MTN do same? And please don't get me started on the so called power issue. The same mtn is in Ghana where there is no power issue and do not declare as much profit after tax in Ghana as they do here. And don't mention population, India has more population than us and their network providers don't make half as much as mtn declares as profit. Some of you people here, your parents should have invested the money used to send you to school on cocaine. They may end up with cancer but seriously, what is more cancerous than an educated illitrate? |
When you read some of the replies on here, you will find out exactly what is wrong with this country. Just cos some twats have the money to buy some second hand Blackberry phones, they think the prices of data bundles should not be reduced. The ironic thing is that these same wankers will go about complaining about the government. Honestly, why do you guys think the government should stop feeding fat from our national resources? They just like you idiots are feeding fat and do not care about others. If that bundle prices are cool with you cos you are benefiting from it, then it is cool if we get ripped off by our government officials as well. You have blackberry and think it is the end of the world? The same useless thing you are carrying about is been given out for free as part of mobile contracts in western countries. For £100, you get a phone of your choice, unlimited data bundle, as much as 300 free minutes, 100 free international Sms among others yet cos you idiots have got a fairly used phone, you think it is the end of the world? When visafone charges 10k for 10GB ( now 13GB ) for something the likes of verison, AT and T charge less than 3k for and we not allowed to complain, then you know there is a problem. |
The most sensible post I have read on Nairaland in recent time. You are 100% spot on mate. Siasia was hurriedly sacked and deserves a mention when we lift the cup for a 3rd time on Sunday. And to be honest, I still prefer him though that doesn't mean I want Keshi out, no, I don't but have my preference for Sia1. |
Mate, you may be right but wait a minute, just like Jehovah witnesses ( No insult to them ) believe that if you participate in the Olympics, you are worshipping a Greek god, you may be right that the devil belong to the devil but do you honestly think when Usain Holt or any of the Olympians, partake in the Olympics, do you think they have it at the back of their minds that they are serving a so called Greek god? If the dance is from hell, do you honestly think any one who is dancing it have the devil in mind? Just like the idiots those claiming Yolo belongs to the devil, when I use YOLO, do I have any intention of worshiping any devil? People need to think before coming on here to start meaningless threads. |
Pukkah: Prices don't have to go up when the naira strengthens. For a country like Nigeria that is highly import-oriented, you would actually be buying more foreign goods when the naira firms up; I don't think this is likely to lead to inflation. However, a stronger naira does discourage exports as the locally manufactured goods become more expensive in the eyes of the foreigners. If most of the local goods are for exports, this may indeed lead to deflation.I agree with you there but I also disagree. The mentality of Nigerians will mean I am right and you are wrong. You need to flash back to what happened when Dollar went up to N180 to a Naira. Even conductor will take you "You no hear dollar don cost?". |
binger: I think that is good news for me and others who earn the USD online,by the time its convertd to our local currency,i'l make a fortuneAside the fact that the post says the naira firmed against the dollar ( as in the naira closing down the gap on the dollar ), the weaker the naira the less valuable the said dollar u earn online. People always forget that as the naira becomes weak, prices of commodities in the market ( which u will end up using ur exchanged dollar to buy ) goes up. You are actually only getting more money ( paper value ) to buy less commodities. And mine u, I am an internet marketer as well. |
Best news in recent time. Webmasters will be happy. Someone seriously need to give Google a kick in the ass. I was hoping Binge ( Msn ) would do it but it seems Yahoo is more serious to do it. I can't wait to see more and more people using Yahoo instead of Google as it makes my own job easier. Best news ever ( and my first post here in about 10 months ). |
Off topic but I claim the miracle of Diya this morning. Secretly hope God will perform such a miracle in my life. |
It will be a disgrace if this two are not jailed. They have committed a serious criminal offense and both deserves to go to jail. I have never liked Ooni as a person and would be glad if he goes to jail. |
Release him? No he shouldn't be released. He deserves to go jail and I am sure EFCC is not stupid, they must have strong evidences against him and the fact that the American government is interested shows there is more to this case than what we know. Let's just hope this is not one of those two years in prison case. I am hoping and Praying all the money he looted will be collected and still jailed ( day dreaming really ). |
Seriously I think it is high time Seun starts banning idiots from making irrelevant posts on this forum. The same idiots saying Kanu is overrated will be those praising David Beckham who I do not rate in anyway. The same people will be those praising Scholes who to me is merely average. Portmouths fans name him King yet he was supposedly useless at that time. Some people are just senseless. |
