Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has advised Nigerians to elect candidates capable of taking the country to greater heights.

Sanwo-Olu told them to shun those who give bogus statistics, but consider flagbearers with clear-cut plans.

He spoke in Ikeja on Friday at a Special Prayer Session/Jumat Service to commemorate the 62nd Independence Day celebration.

Represented by his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu said APC candidate Bola Tinubu has the ability to sustain the nation’s economy.

”We should look at who has access to the sources for businesses”, NAN quoted him saying.

”Nigerians should look at who has the ability to protect the integrity of our country by sustaining the military, training them well.”

The governor cautioned against using religion to cause distractions ahead of the 2023 general elections.

“If we can put our lives in the hands of doctors without asking for their religion before surgery, why then are doing otherwise?”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, said Nigerian youths are supporting the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

The national committee member spoke on Monday in Abuja at the Progressives Young Leaders Summit.

Israel said the APC was not worried about the plot of politicians using some people on social media to paint Tinubu in a bad light,
He noted that many Nigerians have been positively impacted through the Trader Moni Programme and grants to young entrepreneurs.

The party’s social investment programmes had benefited many families in communities across the country. Israel added.

“Many young people are part of the APC and we are proud to have them. We have more young people outside.

“Don’t listen to all the propaganda that young people are not with our party”, NAN quoted him saying.

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has expressed the belief that the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu
has the capacity to restore Nigeria on the path of greatness when he becomes president.
Governor Bello, who said the BAT campaign organisation has appointed him as the National Youth Coordinator, made this known on Sunday, while meeting with APC ward, Local government chairman, candidates and other stakeholders from Idah federal constituency of the state.

He noted that BAT had been consistent with the party, shown direction and leadership that the nation needs to address its challenges hence must be given overwhelming support by party faithfuls and voted come 2023.

According to him, the APC in Kogi was solely for Tinubu and would work to ensure that the party’s candidates at all levels emerge winners.

He reiterated that party faithfuls and executives were the foot soldiers during elections hence every one needed to be carried along as one big family and that
benefits would come directly to party loyalists as against what was practiced.

He said the interaction was to reassure people of the constituency of the party’s unity and enjoined supporters not to engage in anti party activities.

Where does tinubu hope to get votes to win the election from.
