Sorry, but your question isn't really clear. What do you mean by opening balance? Do you mean the maintenance/tuition fee was deposited on the 18th or 29th of July? If it's 29th, 28 days start counting on the 29th. QueensRoad1: Hi please I have a question regarding the tier 4 visa funds My opening balance started 18th July However no transaction was made till 29th July which was tuition deposit. Is that a problem The 30 days is 18th July to 17th august and the money never fell below the required amount |

Par my own calculations, 21st July to 17th August is 27days. I think you need to start counting from the following day after you deposited the money (the gurus can confirm). And also, it'd be really great for you not to be in any unnecessary hurry. May our efforts not go to waste by the grace of God! Luseyi: Thanks a whole lot @mimilyrics..You always come through .Okay I guess I will just put in the application for tuesday 18th as 21st july to 17th August is 28days exactly. And Yes the deposit came in during my 28days count o
quote author=mimilyrics post=92901180]1. No, it's not a must. The advice is just to avoid a situation in which you make a count error on your part.
2. Even if you extend the printing, the days after your application won't count, the ECO will just count backwards from the day you submit. The 28-days that UKVI needs must be before your application.
3. Did the deposit come in before or during your 28-day count? You don't need to submit CAC or employment documents except they help your application. |

Oh I understand now. Thanks for clarifying. The days were incomplete Fwaz: Second message
Thank you for submitting your documents.
You have demonstrated you have maintained more than sufficient funds however:
Bank statements have to be stamped and signed on all pages.
This is the second to the last massage below
Thank you for submitting your financial evidence.
The bank statement shows sufficient funds but period June 17th – July 14th only shows 27 days of tranactions. Therefore we are unable to approve this document
Example
17th June – 15th July would suffice.
Please provide updated documents. A letter from your bank confirming funds held for 28 days will suffice but must display the below;
• Must have your name
• Must show account number
• Must show bank’s name and logo
• Must show date of letter
• Must show the amount of money in the account
• Must show that you have held enough money in your account every day for at least 28 days.
• Letter must be less than 31 days old on the date of online application
Alternatively, If submitting a Bank statement.
• Must have your name and address
• Must show account number
• Must show bank’s name and logo
• Must show date of statement
• Must show that you have held enough money in your account every day for at least 28 days.
• Must show the transactions, and the closing balance after each transaction.
• If you are using an electronic bank statement, it must be stamped on every page by the bank.
• Statement must be less than 31 days old on the date of online application
author=Youngee34 post=92735806]Exactly! That's why I'm really confused as to why the bank statement was rejected, since he had everything checked.
Except if he just didn't have sufficient funds throughout the 28days |

Reach out to your school about this. Due to the covid situations, schools have been taking individual considerations. So in your case, they might be able to relax the conditions a bit. MsChidi: Hi everyone,
While going through my documents, I realized that I was able to get a letter of recommendation from my undergrad HOD since 2008. Is it possible to submit it for my postgrad application? It’s been difficult to obtain another letter of recommendation.
Also, in the place of absence of certificate, can I submit my statement of result?
I have been trying to get my certificate and letter of recommendation since May, to no avail as teaching & non-teaching staff are not available in the school premises. |

So does it matter when the money was deposited or from when the 28days start counting? Fwaz: The statement didn't captured a transaction on 8th coz the cash has been there before that 8th .. |

Exactly! That's why I'm really confused as to why the bank statement was rejected, since he had everything checked. Except if he just didn't have sufficient funds throughout the 28days mattfeuter: Not really,
You aren’t required to make any transaction/s within the 28 days,
The rule is for the funds not to dip one naira of the required money. |

Sorry to put you back a bit. I'm just trying to understand this. You said you provided a bank statement from 8th July to 6th August. From my calculations, that is already 28days. So what was the reason why it wasn't accepted? Sorry to bother you, just trying to clarify some things. Fwaz: Thank you for submitting your documents.
I have reviewed the financial documents you have sent through to us but I am unable to approve them for use in a visa application for the follow reasons:
1. You have not demonstrated you have maintained more than sufficient funds over the 28 day relevant time period (only shows funds up to 24/07 and we need to see all transactions up to 09/07
I recommend that in order to meet the financial condition you can provided updated bank statement demonstrating you maintained more than sufficient funds over 28 days relevant time period or provide statement to accompany letter proving funds have been maintained for 28 days.
Mimilyric I should have heed to your earlier advice... My bank statement was from 8th July to 6th August
There was no transaction on 8th and 9th as well because the cash have been in my account for months. The statement shows a transaction on 24th, 31st July and 4th of August only..
I'm frustrated aswear coz I have sent four different Bank statements to my school.
The first one wasnt stamped coz I generated it through GTB mobile App
The second one I got a response from my school that it only shows 27days instead of 28days
Then I decided to sent 2 different statements From 8july -6th August and also from 9th July -6th August so I got the below response
You have not demonstrated you have maintained more than sufficient funds over the 28 day relevant time period (only shows funds up to 24/07 and we need to see all transactions up to 09/07
NOTE: Second and third Statement was generated through online banking and it was stamped |

@dduchess TheGuyFromHR: I sent someone to TLS Ikeja yesterday to make inquiries. To put the controversy about flexi appointments to rest:
Yes, you could do a walk in before your appointment date. It's still available, but they say they've fewer slots due to working fewer days so they've reduced the number of people who will be allowed, even with their 42k, unlike before.
You can turn up and try your luck, but get an appointment first. |

You didn't ask for any proof of information. But it's alright, I wouldn't want any of my further responses to be misconstrued. All the best woman! dduchess90: Hello, Not sure i came as being agressive to you...i put up a link from the TLS and stand by it. You can't attend a flexi before your date of appointment, it has to be anytime ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT.
I asked for a proof of your information so we can all learn but you didn't put it up for me and others to learn. Again if you read through my comments, i try to be very modest in responding to people, if i don't have any idea or solution i simply don't respond Cheers |

Aprokodaughter: Is it just for applicants with dependants? As Yimi as said, it's for everyone. You can either pay online or pay when you get there. Last year when I did. I did my visa application that same day at ikeja TLS, then I walked in for my biometrics and paid 42k there. |

@dduchess and the likes. Hope this vindicates my claims. I said it on Sunday that walk-in flexi appointment is available. And once you apply for it, you can go for the appointment any day before or after your appointment date. I just had to keep quiet(because I know the right thing), as you guys almost became aggressive with the responses that ensued, forgetting that this place is just a public place to share your opinions. Regards. Yimi4real: Just finished from TLS ikeja and almost home sef. Interview went well, basically the same with the interview questions posted yesterday... am hoping for the best.
Those who want to try walking in ahead of their far appointment should do so from 10:30am in whatever dates they want to try.
My cousin walked in yesterday and paid the required 42k plus for flexi, it was smooth and she said they were very few in there . Then considering that only one dependent of mine had 8.30am appointment. Our original appointment was 10.30, 12 pm and 1pm today but we were done in no time. Which may mean that our afternoon slots are now free.
These are just my observations though. |

No, flexi means you can come any day during the business hours for your appointment. Irrespective of your appointment date/time. I remember I did it last year with my uncle, I applied for visa on the same day at ikeja, paid for flexi appointment and went straight in with my uncle for my biometrics. duchess90: Flexi means you can arrive at the Visa Application Centre at any time during opening hours on the day of your appointment. Not before your appointment:
Check the link on how to pay for that, i think it is on the day of your appointment. So you have to get your appointment day first

You seem really confused. What part of my caption is very misleading? mattfeuter: Your caption is very misleading.
Apparently , your school will provide free accommodation for 14 days ONLY if you are going to be staying at the uni accommodation.
If you’re going to live off campus , you still need to provide an address where you’ll quarantine. |

Oh alright. Thank you so much for your response. I will do that. dduchess90: Yes, these are the documents you provide at the embassy. The CAS said award letter not certificate, so that is what they referred to, in addition to your student transcript.
If it is okay for your school to issue CAS, it should be fine. However try to make sure you have put in process to resume processing your certificate when your previous uni(Unilag) is ready, just incase you need to update your records in school
Cheers |

Hello, I received my CAS yesterday.
But on the "evidence used to obtain offer" field, they wrote award letter and transcripts.
Does this mean I will provide these documents when going to embassy?
I do not have my Bsc certificate, as University of Lagos couldn't do their convocation due to some issues before the lockdown. But we were issued a "To whom it may concern letter"
Also, the only transcript I have is the student copy transcript. Will those suffice? |

My uncle and I applied together(joint application) for a visiting visa on July 10th using my brother's convocation invitation letter.
We used fast track and we were told it would be ready in 5 to 7 days.
My uncle got an email for pickup last week Friday(July 19th) and he got his visa.
However, my case is different, as I'm still yet to receive any email from them, it's at "Application received by DMC" stage. It's 9 working days and I'm still yet to hear from them... Please hope it doesn't indicate there might be a problem or sort, considering I applied with my uncle, we even did biometrics same time, and he has gotten his own visa by now. |
