Well, maybe you didn't get my drift, I was just saying that RayPower being the flagship of private radio stations in the country has done well. It wasn't a comparisim between them and other private stations. Besides, it is not all about music that makes a station thick, but more like rich programme contents with local values. Stay blessed |
On the 1st of Spetember 1998, RayPower 100.05 FM became the 1st independent radio station to broadcast on the Nigerian air wave. Looking back over the years on their programming and balancing of news along side their sister TV station AIT, I think they the best thing that has happened to the Nigeria Broadcasting industry. What are views about how they have fared so far?

It is a bitter pill to swallow, and like most bitter pills it cures the illness one time. EPL is not too a big lamb to sacrifice for our economy to grow. |
Maybe some of us don't just get it. DSTV didn't break any law, but they cannot be allowed to hold our people and economy to ransom. What the Fed. Govt. has done is very commendable. It is absurd for DSTV to threat the whole of Africa as a country. I mean with just one broadcast right they have covered the whole continent. Nigeria is too big a guy for that. I don't care if we woke up from our slumber today and decided to take the bull by the horn. No time is late! The monoploy must be broken! The market should be widened for more players and we the customers will be better for it. No pain, No gain! |

This bunch of cheaters? Divers? Low racists? Little monkies who can't but do tricks? Italians are a shame of the world! The worst nation in the world cup! FIFA must make them give it back to the French for what they did to Zidane! |
Also remember to come with 2 passport photos and and your ID card (e.g National ID card, Int'l passport or Driving licence) Good luck! |
a Nigger? what a heck! |
@lioness I have a visa to travel to Italy, I am comtemplating throwing it away, what do you say? |
According to Tribalfootball.com this is how it went down: " Top lip-reader Marianne Frere revealed the Italian told Zidane - who understands the language after playing for Juventus - a high ball was "not for feccia like you". Feccia is an Italian insult meaning scum or s**t. Zidane smiled at Materazzi as he walked away. But there was another exchange, Zidane turned and floored him with a butt to the chest. The lip-reader claimed the Italian had said: "We all know you are the son of a terrorist LovePeddler." He added: "Viffanculo". (f*** off). A source close to the Italian squad claimed that after twisting Zidane's nipple, Materazzi asked him: "What, don't you like it?" The French captain replied: "A bit too hard to turn me on." But Materazzi shouted: "Well, I did it that way because I know that's how your mother likes it." Materazzi yesterday denied calling Zidane a terrorist. He said: "It is absolutely not true. I'm ignorant. I don't know what the word means." I have also read it was his sister being insulted. But isn't it interesting that France MAY have lost the World Cup because of anti-African bias only months after protests against those prejudices? |
Why wasnt Figo red carded for his headbutt ? No mention in the press about Figo career being ruined by his action. The Portugese acted with violence and "gamesmenship" in every stage of the World Cup. I thought it was interesting that France V Italy was like a replay of England V Portugal with the best penalty takers removed prior to the Shoot out - same referee same conclusion, if the referee had acted when Zidane was being held then the head butt wouldnt have taken place. Materazzi is a very big guy and has prison tattoos all over his arms and is obviously no stranger to contraversy he said the wrong thing to the wrong guy I guess he was lucky he said what he did on the pitch and not in a bar in the back streets of Marselle. ![]() |
Zidane overeacted and he can be blamed for that but Italians are cheaters, it's a fact, everybody knows that. And they call themselves World champions, pathetic. With all the cheating in the Calcio, they probably bribed the referee for the final, they're very good at that. They even bought a tv so the 4th ref could see what happened. Hopefully you guys will remember Zidane as an artist and not as the guy who was sent off during his last game. Vive la France! |
Maybe thats why Zidane was so good during his career after all - because he's pasionate. So it worked in Italy's favor after all, but what the heck, Italians are used to getting things the easy way. Half of their team is involved in a game-fixing scandal and that's the best team in the world? I don't know, That's how football is today I guess, but as far as Zidane goes the end doesn't matter - everyone predicted them to fall to Spain or Brazil - the bottom line is with or without the red card the guy is still gonna be remembered as a wiz on the pitch and for Materazzi - just another lucky goon. |
The BBC reported that an Italian-language lipreader they employed reported that Materazzi wished "an ugly death to you and your family" – on the day Zidane had discovered his mother was seriously ill – and finally "go **** yourself".The Brazillian television station "Globo" claimed that via a lip-reader they had discovered that Materazzi had called Zidane's sister a prostitute. |
