The Death Road in Bolivia connects the Amazon rainforest region of northern Bolivia, or Yungas, to its capital city.


The mainly single-lane road has no guard rails and cliffs of up to 1,968ft high, resulting in about 300 deaths every year.


Dubbed 'El Camino de la Muerte' (The Death Road) by locals, for obvious reasons, and considered by many the one of the most dangerous stretch of road in the world.
