Politics / Lack Of Critical Thinking: A Drunken Armed NPF On Wheel Vs Civilian Slap by YoungWildFree: 8:18pm On May 16, 2023
Do Nigerian youth lack capacity for critical thinking?
A case involving a civilian slapping a drunk driving armed Police in the public came up for reflection and alas! we show our careless and poor logic by focusing only on the slap while avoiding critical conversations on the peril of drunk driving by an armed police officer on duty.

Not even the IGP and the police leadership wortied about the aspect of a lawless drunk pplice officers armed with weapon moving around space where our children play.

The potential for road accident mishap and people getting killed or perhap accidental discharge by an inebriated irresponsible officer ofvthe law did not worry the collective mind of the public, police leadership, the Police service commission PSC and the political leadership. They all came backing for arrest only. But the lager threat was not addressed at all.

What a kind of fickled collective consciousness did we possess, What manner of classless people are we in this country.

A perfect opportunity present itself for us to collectively deal wth an existential dread we constantly up against yet we choose the low road.
Shame! but na the slap we dey worry about. What a nation, what a people. Misplaced priority is our surname.

What kind of education and spirituality wil make a nation reasoning to be so dull and lowly to the exyent that they cannot assess and rank issues based on severity and worse case scenario.

With a mindset like ours. It is just a matter of time before the holes lined up again. More mourning to come, to whom it may concern. Any days now for the unlucky Nigerian common man.

No handcuff in sight.
Sorry, I thought their crime is as serious as Seun Kuti own- I have forgotten that it is mere kidnapping, maiming and killing.

If na slapping I for vex and call for their head. Like Nigerians are currently doing on the evil Seun Kuti.

Its funny how hypocritical Nigerians are bashing Seun Kuti for the assault on the police man. You Nigerians, when will you have sense?

The Seun Kuti that should be celebrated as a national hero and have his giant statue placed at a strategic location in Abuja and Lagos for slapping a police man. The same police that have slapped you several times and abused you, lied on you and your sons and daughters, sent you to prison for something you know nothing about, abused you and turtute you. Beat you in the presence of your wife and children. The same police that will stop you on the road and throw igbo into your car and arrest you for it. Same police that will force you to open your phone, see your chat with your American

customer for a web design job and label you a Yahoo boy, then kill you while you were trying to prove your point.

You all come online to say "Can he try that in Europe or America" Are you nuts? how dare you say such nonsensical thing? Do American and Eurpean police men treat ordinary citizens like they do here in Nigeria?

One man out of the lot of you gathered the courage to slap some sense into the head of these mofos and you still come online to bash him. During endsars protests, youths came out en mass to burn police stations and murdered several police men and you hailed them as heroes but you are reprimanding Seun Kuti for slapping the same people. You bloody hypocrites.

Salute @Saasala.
Thanks for your introspection. The depth of your insight is outstanding. Thanks for the courage to speak your truth even though it is unpopular at the moment due to sentimental reasons.

For the Nigerian police, this should be a moment of reflection to change your evil and criminal ways of humiliating, bullying and demeaning innocent Nigerians. It is a teachable moment to change your ways and do better by the people- Seun kuti is the monster that you made.

I know the terrifying experience of NPF/police using their police van to violently bump my vehicle from the rear without provocation, damaging the vehicle in the process and putting the life of my entire family including my pregnant wife in danger. I was so shocked and shaken from narrowly escaping death for my entire family...

They drove away laughing at my misfortune and when I try to approach them, they corked their guns all the while taunting me, even though I did nothing to warrant such harrowing ordeal <believe me it was hell>. I felt so helpless and impotent as they drove away laughing at my misfortune and near death experience- a little bit of me died during he ordeal.

If not that, I have an overaching need to attend to my distressed pregnant wife, I would have have same confrontation with them. Given half the chance, I would have slap them too.

Now, I have PTSD and atavistic fear whenever I encounter them, even as a law abding citizen. Till date I do not have the courage to drive at night, especially, through police.check points.

BTW, it's just a matter of time, police breakfast be served again and again and everybody will chop breakfast.. and this post will be the "shebi I talk am"
I see videos of police brutality everyday on twitter. It's high time the police reflect on the monsters they made (and still making) before inviting unfortunate incidents, anarchy and chaos. It is just a matter of time.

Talmabout demoting violent criminal police officer without charging them to court to face justice. No handcuff, no mugshot, no court charges...
...in your beloved USA they do charge them to face the court of law, so don't bother me with the cliche poor American analogy.

Last Last,, everybody go.chop breakfast.

Ugnoble come across a well educated mind. He knows how to think. He is not an ignoramus with loads of book, but no benefits. Be like Ugnoble.

It is a shame that the drug man is better educated and well researched than the schooled youth condemning.

This is the state of our enlightenment. See Nigeria youth condemnation based on hearsays, speculations and crass ignorance. My people perish for lack of knowledge.

Health benefits of hemp seeds

Many people consider hemp seeds to be a superfood. The seeds have a rich nutritional profile and provide a range of health benefits.

Although hemp seeds come from the Cannabis sativa plant, they do not produce a mind-altering effect.

These small, brown seeds are rich in protein, fiber, and healthful fatty acids, including omega-3s and omega-6s. They have antioxidant effects and may reduce symptoms of numerous ailments, improving the health of the heart, skin, and joints.

In this article, we look at the various benefits of hemp seeds and provide tips for adding them to the diet.

Science/Technology / Re: Hamza Abubakar Ningi Manufactures A Solar Stove In Bauchi (Pics) by YoungWildFree: 6:46am On Jun 19, 2021
It is a solar powered biomass stove!

It follow the basic principle of fire triangle i.e.
Fire  = Fuel + Heat(energy) + Oxygen(air)

Solar powered biomass stove =
Biomass briquette (e.g sawdust, cow dung, kitchen waste)
+
Spark igniter (powered by electric charge from solar panel)
+
Mini fan (powered by electric charge from solar panel to suck air through the sawdust briquette)

It is not renewable, you have to restuff the box with compacted biomass when expended.

There are3 important question I will like to ask
1. What is passing through the hose, cos that hose is is a hollow tube. my guess combustible fuel I guessed shocked
2. How does a solar energy become combustible flame, allien science I guess. Solar energy can only be converted to heat energy, which can be inform of infrared radiation etc not flammable fire. grin grin
3. Why does the flame look like a candle flame also it seem the flame isnt coming from the outlets nozzle of the burner(not all the nozzles holes) cry cry cry

We should have nothing but empathy for the youths siding with Government (even those whose nurture and shit.ty education, do not know their right as a citizen. And worse still, are not aware of of the miseducation/ dehumanization of the youth, that is arising from being in 100L(1st semester) in 2019, then 100L(2nd semester) in 2020 and maybe, 100L(2nd semester) in 2021.

Of course, they cannot understand the evil, these leaders purposefully are exposing us to. Buhari & Osinbajo know these and they will not want to de-humanize their "lovely" kids. Hence, reason, why they ship their kids to "non-ASUU", "non-strike infested" and "non-inadequately funded" education abroad (and even have the audacity to flaunt it on social media; to the applause of these victims)

Just substitute the shitty education with Police and military impunity, brutality and violence; and the picture, will become clearer.
Once again, let have sympathy for those who cannot see this. they are the real victims. Stockholm syndrome is real.

Mordecai:
Yada yada yada.

The protests were peaceful.

Your government then introduced thugs to discredit them and give you reason to impose a curfew.
Your sponsored hoodlums attacked in places like Orile etc.
Your boyboy governor then invited soldiers to attack Lekki, the one place where the protests were highly peaceful and organized.
Your sponsored thugs went berserk. They turned back and lashed out.
Everywhere begins to boil.
You then tell us you're with us. You print out tweets and pose for the camera.
Then, after the dust settles, you call the protesters terrorists. You freeze their accounts and drag them to court using proxies.
While we still reel, you reimplement the electricity tariff hike you promised to backtrack on.
You renege on the promises already made to ASUU when you needed the young ones off the streets.
While we still groan, you increase the price of fuel, few months after you told us subsidies are over. What changed - the price of oil?

Were you not the one that promised us you'll fight to restructure the polity? Now, you would have none of it. You now tell us restructuring is no longer needed. Apart from your attaining the office of VP, what has changed?

Were you not the one that promised to reform SARS years ago. If that was done, would it have gotten to this?

Now you look us in the face and tell us you are rebuilding trust, when all you have ever done is stab us in the back.

Fine. We have heard you. And we have turned our back on you. Stab away like you've always done. What else can we do?

[b]Thanks Mordecai for speaking your truth. Very brave of you.
Be grateful for your barest minimum education/awareness from the Nigerian "animal-level" education. It sure counts.
