If any right thinking Nigerian out there were still in doubt that this Buffoon was a colossal mistake on our part as a people, then now is the time to search your minds and realize the truth by yourself.

Buhari is a BIGOT EXTREMIST TERRORIST unworthy to be the leader of any nation on earth!

I curse the day I campaigned for Buhari that year. angry

you just gave me the actual version as what exactly?, perhaps as the final authority on urhobo history...brother you're funny. To begin with, what is the basis for the classification of urhobo as edoid?, is it because of the similar accent?....if tomorrow urhobos start speaking with a french accent people like you would classify them as francophone or so. Can you tell me why urhobos were called "heebo" during the slave trade....why some ancient urhobo names are pure igbo like "okoro".....you say we share a lot with edos and I say we only share a bitter history with them and an accent due to forced association.

The world doesn't revolve around your friends Mr.

Facebook released its report this first quarter 2018 with impressive records.

- Revenue jumped 47% compared to last year Q1
- Daily/Monthly active users jumped 13%
- Mobile advertising went up by 83%

So you see my friend Facebook doesn't revolve around your friends, Don't judge a brand because of situations around you.

Despite the analytica issue concerning a breach of users privacy, Facebook is still making more users and more money.

Why is facebook growth rate falling.
Time spent online falling
User engagement falling
Forget about analytica for now.

This is info according to Facebook itself, not me.

Besides, I never said nobody visits facebook anymore. I was just telling you that things are not looking like they used to.
btw, hope you know that those figures you quotes are for FACEBOOK inc , which includes all Facebook owned services including whatsapp, instagram and a host of other social media in various countries?

Facebook seemed a mere 5 years ago to be something that will remain with us forever i.e unbeatable social media service.

With the way things are going these days, I'm not so sure about that.
Trying to jam-pack too many services into one.

I know loads of people who were all into facebook 2-3 years ago that hardly even log in anymore these days.

African culture is truly rich and amazing!
We've got fierce looking masquerades and very powerful jazz.
I still wonder how white people managed to subdue and colonize us, despite our "very potent" black science

Egungun or Egun (Masquerades) are not protective Jujus or "Jazz" in Yoruba culture, they are a symbolic representation of the dead as well as past ancestors.
That being said, colonialism and subjugation by european powers has nothing to do with "black science" as you put it or whatever.

This picture was taken during the 1950's. This was the tradition in Owo till the 1960s. Virgins went topless for the day and were dressed with different colours of ileke-idi (waist beads).
During igogo, the Olowo and other tirtled men in Owo also dressed like ladies to commemorate a very ancient Olori who sacrifised a lot fotr the survival of the Owo Kingdom with his hair braided.

Culture / Culture And Tradition Of The Ogho (owo) Kingdom Of Ondo State. by YourNemesis: 1:19am On Apr 29, 2018

The Owos are a subgroup of the Yoruba people in Eastern Yorubaland who trace their origin to Ile ife. The Owo Kingdom is ruled by the Olowo, Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi III, who is the eldest son of the previous oba, Olateru Olagbegi II.
The Owo kingdom is comprised of many other towns and villages apart from Owo town itself. Such settlements include Emure Uli (Emure Ile), Uso, Upele (Ipele), Upenmen (Ipeme), Amuren etc. Traditionally the towns in the Osse local government were all at the beck and call of the Olowo, such as Ifon omimah, Ute, Ujagba (Ijagba), Arimogija, Okeluse, Ogbese, Sobe, Ido-Ani, Ugbonla etc.

Owo is one of the most historic and prolific centres of Yoruba civilizations, producing several works of art in various media, such as brass, and terracotta. Owo is also said to have the largest palace (Aghofen) in Africa which, it sits on 9 and a half acres of land, and was declared a national monument by the federal government. The Olowo Palace had as many as 100 courtyards (Ugha). Each courtyard had a specific function and was dedicated to a particular deity. The largest, said to have been twice the size of an American football field, was used for public assemblies and festivals. Some courtyards were paved with quartz pebbles or broken pottery. Pillars supporting the veranda roofs were carved with statues of the king mounted on a horse or shown with his senior wife. Owo is divided into the Following districts.

Udashen
Upenmen
Uselu (Iselu)
Isuada
Uyere
Uso
Ujebu (Ijebu)
Upele
Uloro

In this thread, I'll be showing various pictures of festivals, rites, cultural events etc from the historic Kingdom of OGHO IMADE.

When I meet Nigerians who don't know there are more than 3 ethnic groups in Nigeria, I am like "Where the hell did you people go to school?!"

The primary school I went to was so bush we held classes under a gmelina tree (my school uniforms and books all had gmelina juice stains and smell like gmelina). Yet we were all taught about the other ethnic groups that make up Nigeria. Efik, Bini, Ijaw, Kanuri, Fulani, Ibibio, etc. We knew about them before we entered JS1. undecided

Majority of Yorubas don't know the difference. loool
It is partly due to Insular nature of Yoruba culture, and partly educational and societal ignorance plaguing them. You hear schools in the SW saying, Nigeria has three major tribes, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba and all othe tribes can be grouped under them.

A Benue friend once went to the SW, this guy was Agatu (part of Idomas).. everyone as like, ok you are Benue, so you are "Under Hausa" the look on the guy's face was like wtf! NO. Then they are like... Ok that means you are "under" Ibo because You are definitely not Yoruba.

Do you know the number of Lebanese, Indians that have nationalised themselves in Nigeria but don't give two fvcks about Nigeria?

Is France constitution against what she did? Has she committed any offence? She has a right to shake or ignore. How's that now a crime or problem?

Yes, the constitution of france is against it.
She even erred the more, the moment she mentioned her religion. religions a persona issue in France, and whether you be christian, muslim, jew or sango worshiper, being french is the no 1 thing in France.

to your other point, there is no law prohibiting the nationalizing of Lebanese and Indians into acquiring Nigerian citizenship, as long as they meet all the conditions of eligibility.

Don't even bother try to talk to these people.

One thing I have notice about muslims is their intolerance for other systems or beliefs other than theirs. she doesn't want to be western but wants to be a citizen of a fundamentally Western country built on the foundation of Liberalism, (France).

Like people have suggested above, all muslims can pack themselves into the middle eastern countries and North africa, and turn it into the islamic paradise they love so much. No one will come there to disturb them

Absolutely nothing is wrong with an handshake. What is wrong with prostrating to king is his palace? Ofcourse nothing but you bigots and hypocrites didn't say jack when those White men were on the seats while at Oonis palace recently. Suddenly, she is an extremist but those guys are what?

I spit on your bigotry and hypocritical soul

the problem with people like you is that you and your types fail to examine issues critically before opening your dirty brown teeth

Were the whites in the Oonis palace seeking Yoruba cultural or national belonging or citizenship?
Obviously, if those whites wanted to become Yoruba, they would prostrate or genuflect before the Ooni to show their oneness with and respect for the Yoruba culture.

There are pictures of WHITE Latin Americans who are culturally Yoruba who prostrate and bow before the ooni of Ife! because even though they ar white, they are immersed in the YORUBA CULTURE.

The extremist muslim woman above has not, and does not want to imbibe french customs, YET she wants to become French.
And then, she even had the guts to go to a french court to challenge the decision under the jurisprudence of French law!

What nonsense!

Mr. Context, put it into order for us. Why must she shake your hands? Are you a King, if indeed you're tolerant, why can't you respect her choice?

This is Canadian Prime Minister when he met Syrian Refugees, he respected them and if you're tolerant, you should learn to respect people's beliefs. Is it too much to ask? Instead of respecting her choice as your system of government entails, y'all open your brown teeth to call her "extremists".

What king?

He is the law official presiding over the process of acquiring FRENCH citizenship.

She does not want to follow the norms of French society but wants to be French?
She must be mad, and Yes, she is an extremist. Besides, you haven't even answered the question.

painment

Technology is exposing the liars gradually.
Those that said Ibadan was bigger than Cairo, Lagos and Accra. We all know Ibadan is slightly bigger than Enugu and definitely smaller than Cairo, Accra or Lagos grin grin grin grin

Enugu= 20.5 KM across
Ibadan = 24.5 KM across

Go and verify it yourself.

I thank God for satellite technology. The days of mind blowing lies because they are unverifiable are over.

Dude, I dont know how you are doing your measurements but ibadan is about 28km by 30km (840) while enugu is about 17km by 15km (255)
Enugu is comparable in size to Akure, nowhere near Ibadan. Not to mention that enugu isn't even shaped, meaning that the measure of length is very deceiving when comparing AREA, as some areas are only a fe kms wide - unless you grid both cities up and measure the total area covered. And that is the biggest city in the SE.
Akure is even bigger by area.

So why didn't hillary clinton win the presidential elections.

Yes, some people will support her alright, but that doesn't mean she would be the overwhelming favorite like you put it.
