Kids! Kids!! Kids!!! Ezeuche please post your email address for Ileke, haba. Or ask DK to get you connected with her. And solve your problems privately. Giver her what she wants and let the rest of us rest. Enough of all these immature grandstanding on NL |
There is a big difference, besides, can you articulate how he only served Western interests while he was Finance Minister? And no beer parlour gists or 'my uncle and fada said' gists.Henry was asking a rhetorical question. exposing the loophole in your assertion that Awolowo was representing "his people." Henry's point is that Awolowo cant be argued to be representing his people when it is on record he volunteered to serve as Nigeria's Finance minister So much for your intellectual superiority and infallibility Wey Desola to give five gbosas to her hero.; |
ROFLMAO Chyz and Henry, be gentle with her! Blame aunty flo. He doesnt get sarcasm, i have come to realize. One track mind! |
henry101:Dont mind all these fly-by-night historians Historians without pedigree Historians on things they know very little about. best to ignore them to their hallucinations. |
alj_harem:Who is Awolowo representing? On pointing things without thinking, polymathic indeed! |
Seanet1000:Why capitalize "donate?" And also, you don't get covered from prosecution, you get sheltered from prosecution. For a supposed graduate of UI, you are a disgrace to your university and to all your English teachers. No wonder Nigerian graduates are unemployable. |
Seanet1000:You just dey look for my attention sha Anyway, give me three months, na me and you full time. Me, Gudugudu, akinkanju, arakangudu, okunrin ogun, yeah! I'm made on the streets Bone animosity I be the great one Amebo e so ra yin ]I"m beyond your beef talk Ojumo kan, imo kan, ere kan, ara kan, asa kan Just like Chameleon Olomo si kata l"oba agbado Igi mu jina s"ori I think you should know So, , Abegi ooooo Oba o le pe meji l"aafin E ma lo ji soro Omo, forget talk, kosi omo naaa ti o je oshe. I am the most incredible! ![]() So o damo, to ba rii? |
Desola:Of course, you dont have to complain. Our elders say, "Ti omode ba gegi loko, agba lomo ibi to ma wo si." I already know how it will end. i am just fulfilling my duty as the elder emeritus of NL, making sure naive young girls like you dont fall prey to online predators. Half oro is enough for omoluabi, that is the omoluabi with a brain. That said, it is your life, thats probably how you get through life; hero-worshiping h/o/r/n/y people old enough to be your father who would eventually exploit you to their hearts satisfaction, leaving you heart broken and scorned. Go ahead. Aja to ba ma sonu. . . |
Desola:You've started again, katsumoto this, katsumoto that, as if Katsumoto was with Awolowo when Awolowo was defending the descendants of Oduduwa. You must either be in your late teens or early twenties, still very impressionable. Hopefully, men dont exploit your naivete. Just be careful how you hero-worship people on an anonymous website like this, so you dont get caught hero-worshiping a future Anthony Weiner. |
^^^ I am afraid you dont get my point. "STD" is very rampant in Nigeria, at every stage of our educational process as a matter of fact. The only time I can say I did not encounter "STD" and its variants was during G2 and Primary school FGC exams. In the US, test taking/term papers is taken seriously. If you are caught, you WILL be punished for it. Every college student at reputable colleges is made to sign honor codes at the beginning of every semester and before each exam. It is human nature to try to cheat or bend rules, but when there are no consequences, as with Nigeria, then it becomes an epidemic, which is not the case in the west. My point: In Nigeria it is an epidemic. In the US, it is not. If a US college tells you that someone is capable, believe me, he/she is capable. The reverse, as we all know, is the case with Nigeria. True, examination dishonesty goes on in the US, ghostwriters and what not, but the people using these ghost writers are actually not asking them to write their term papers from scratch, they just pay people to fine-tune it for them. In a way, to make it better/ "A" worthy. Trust me, term papers arent generic stuffs, anyone can write like that. A typical college student writes on average three term papers per term, depending on major, now multiply that by 8 and tell me where a typical student would get that kind of money from. Thats assuming, conservatively, $100 per page per paper. Of course, there are people who can afford that, but I make bold to say that the average college student cannot afford to spend that much. The only form of cheating that I can say is very rampant in the US is the use of brain stimulants. Well, whether using brain stimulants is cheating or not is a different topic for another day. |
^^^ Ajanlekoko ( Baby-Katz VI), lucky you, it is your day. Are you comparing Nigeria's "STD" situation with a one-off incident in the US? |
naijababe:Hey, baby-Katz V, this is not the right answer to the poster's question. You need to break it down for the poster why was, and not were, is the correct verb in this context. The poster is confused because he/she isnt sure as to which verb to go along with "A wide range" Vs. Options" Anyway, please make it a lil bit clearer for us not so privileged illiterates and "ara okos" ![]() |
naijababe:hmmmmmm, awon ti avant garde ni yen When I grow up, I just wanna be like you. |
Oga mi sir! Dr. Professor Ola Olabiyi Flaws or floors Katzumoto on the "Sanusi: Brilliant, Over-hyped or Mediocre" thread. Which one is the correct verb to use in the statement above? ![]() BTW, did you actually make A1 in English? NECO or WAEC? I actually made A2 in NECO English, but WAEC did not work out as great as NECO, for obvious reasons ![]() |
Tunmi:Nicely done! How is life going? |
Hehe. No wonder Nigeria is in the bad state it is. A thorough love and celebration of mediocrity.Interesting! Coming from someone who thinks Tinubu is God. Anyway, no biggie. In Musiwa I trust. |
manny4life:ROFLMAO I am officially taking you out of the baby-Katz group. I expected a real baby-Katz to get mad, like Katz would, and reveal more about yourself, but you did the opposite. You seem to have a mature defense mechanism ( humor is one of the mature defense mechanisms found among emotionally healthy adults), atypical of Katz and baby-katzs |
freepeople:Well, apart from manny4life who majored in Business at Howard, an HBCU with average SAT of 850 on the old SAT, no one here knows finance and economics that well, at least , not the OP and non of the other baby-katz(s) ( Thanks Ola Olabiyi ), to my knowledge, majored in economics/finance/accounting/business in college. That having been said, Ola olabiyi has shown superior knowledge WRT the topic than any of the other baby-katz. He performed exceptionally well taking on Baby-Katz I (Ekt-Bear), schooled Baby-Katz II ( manny), thoroughly embarrassed baby - Katz III (Dr. Naijaking) and humbled baby-katz IV, OAM4J, who also doubles as the OP's live-in partner. More than that, brilliance isnt about always having the answer to things at your finger tips, because no one does. The most brilliant amongst us is he who knows how to find the answer. Think about it. |
I really dont see the big deal here. There is nothing gestapo-ish about this. The problem we have in Nigeria is that ordinary citizens, including supposedly educated illiterates like Oyb and El-Rufai, do not understand the real meaning of democracy. They assume you can say whatever and do whatever and get a way with whatever. NO! I have news for you, it aint so. The US, UK and other advanced countries are the most policed states in the world, utilizing the power of the Police and other non-uniformed security agencies ( FBI, MI-6 and even Google, IP addresses and Face-book) to closely monitor their citizens so as to prevent unnecessary break-down of Law and order. El-Rufai's intent is very clear, to make the state un-governable for GEJ. And it would be stupiddddddd of GEJ and the SSS to allow him roam the plains of Nigeria freely. They've done what is right and I am glad they acted fast this time around, before we start losing lives like we always do in situations like this. His article is ridden with inflammatory words, with the intent to incite and cause public chaos. Any government worth its salt would do whatever is necessary to keep him quiet. Next time, he would be more careful with what he writes. Now he knows there is a new Sheriff in town, and the Sheriff isnt going to be tolerate any nonsense from him and his ilk. They are not happy with the election result? Let them go to court, quietly and jejely. Their dissatisfaction with the election result is no excuse for them to heat up the polity. If push comes to shove, they will be the first to elope via BA, leaving innocent people to die unsung. We cant afford this 'kain' behavior from our 'elites' any longer. The memory of his unpatriotic behavior during the SNG group is still very fresh in our mind; after all, he was the brain behind the group that created a larger than life image of Turai, causing the public to have negative impression of Turai, when in reality, Turai, like the rest of us, is just a victim of a failed and bastardized system. This is democracy guys. Freedom isnt free; it requires each and every one of us to exercise restraints in how we talk and act in public. Do NOT rock the boat. If you do,you will be held accountable. |

violent:Yes, I know, because you, like SEFAGO and Hermon Raju ( The well-educated girl), know the meaning of schadenfreude For the not so well educated, see the post above this for meaning. Call me shallow all you want, and yes, I am shallow. Thats how I know whether or not someone is ![]() |
^^^ violent:Gbam! With that response,I welcome you to the club of the uber entitled, but well educated snobs. |
cold:Did you not see this from another "not-so-well-educated" person. ![]() naijababe:And yes, like you already know, my last post was, partly, a rxn to this. ![]() |
SEFAGO:Dont mind them jare. They think they can just come here and lash out, with their 'not-so-well-educated mouth/keyboard,' at this young, hot, incredibly sexy, urbane, uber entitled ABCD girl/bum and not expect obviously humble, well adjusted and "well-educated" people like you to come to her defense. ![]() And yes, between this girl and Tpiah/Kobojunkie, I'd pick her. ![]() |
naijababe:She interned at BNP Paribas BNP Paribas S.A. is the largest global banking group in the world, headquartered in Paris with its second global headquarters in London. |
buzugee:You mean " the Biggest bank in The World?" |
naijababe:Common! ![]() If you think she is too petulant and puerile, I'd ask you to put yourself in her shoes and to bracket for just a few seconds your scepticism about her right to be snobbish. Full time students, tuition, 12 to 18 units flat rate, per term $19,672.00That is NYU tuition per semester for their undergraduate school. Which means, she pays close to $50,000 (N7.5 Million) a year for her education and something in the range of $200, 000 for her degree. And for her graduate education at Tisch: Academic Year 2011-2012The point is that she hasnt said anything beyond the obvious that she is "well-educated," which she is really. And I am sure you'd agree with that. I dont think it is childish and unnecessarily unreasonable to present yourself the way she did. At least, not more so than putting "Asiwaju" or 'Oba Alaiyeluwa' or 'His/Her Royal Highness' or 'President' before your name . Or even calling yourself 'naijababe.' Naija and babe (an attractive young woman). That you are 'more attractive' than the rest of us? Someone else may interprete it as you trying to tell us that you are more talented (Urban dic ) than the rest us. More talented = well educated.Which means, you, NB are doing the same thing as Hermon Raju. And if NB = Hermon Raju, and Hermon raju = Petulant and Puerile May we then say that NB = ![]() How ever you look at it, you are defined by one thing or the other, including how 'well-educated' you are. But beyond that, there is a point here that she was trying to pass across. She was accused of using profanities on the train, in the public; meaning, she was acting, in a way, uneducated, rude and 'un-cultured.' Her point, I guess, is she is too 'well-educated' to behave in such ways. Which I think isnt unreasonable reply. Ika to ba to s'imu, la fi nro mu. She gave a right response to what she was accused of doing. |
naijababe:Here it is for you. [flash=400,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ufk8Gglw6Y?version=3&hl=en_US[/flash] |
hackney:She is the conductor. On the MTA, the conductor is boss You do know that Flight Attendants can kick you off the plane? |
OAM4J:Actually, taking just a class at NYU will put loads of garri on your table. ![]() Reported on brand / product performance as well as competitive performance and activityHow many bags of garri can you buy with that? Wa mu garri, a su e. ![]() She is not doing bad. SEFAGO:Alagba, long time no whajuuping. K'amu te gan kuro, Raju dara l'obirin. I'd hit it as long as she doesnt stink and she is well shaved, back and front. You feel me? ![]() |
