Frankrobbn1: You're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. Why not exercise a little more patience, and see if there will be any positive light from IRCC. Its true that your application has exceeded the standard processing times, however, always be positive about the process. I already advised you from the wisdom of my experiences on this thread for half a decade that "Recommend Interview" is not a death sentence and doesn't in any way have negative impact on your in progress application. As a matter of fact, the applicants I know with such eligibility assessment on their GCMS notes, have gotten approval, landed and began their studies in Canada. Due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic, IRCC do not conduct interviews whether for permanent resident application or work permit.
Take a chill pill for your application is in good condition and will be finalized in no distant time.
Let me know if you require further information.
It will end in praise This was not directly for me but it spoke to me. Thank you. It will surely end in praise. |

Andrewtee122: @Yteem I did my application myself, the only time I used anyone was for the payment of my study permit and it was paid for and I got a submission confirmation and a receipt with it that's all I ever paid for, i remember when i wanted to submit my NSE requirements payment came up again but it didn't show anywhere for me to pay so I just clicked on next and submitted the NSE requirements. For the submission of NSE, there is no additional charge. This mail is a tricky and dicey one that should be handled with care. Could there have been an error from the person that paid for you? Can an application be submitted if payment is not made? Just wondering aloud with you to see what exactly could have triggered the mail. I think a letter of explanation stating that you made payment in respect of your application, also maybe attaching the receipt that you got when you submitted should be written and then send to them. A letter of explanation was requested for anyway. So just put your thoughts together with evidence that you have and send. Let’s also wait for more people to add to this. |

glam12: This is my dilemma too. When did you submit yours @Olukologmail? I submitted mine on the 27th of January. Is it possible to fast track this with VFS? Because In my case I must be in Canada by 28 February. Pls has anyone in the house received passport back recently? How long did it take you? So far I don’t think it is possible to fast track with VFS. Abuja office has been said to be faster with their processing unlike Lagos. Don’t know if that has changed now. We have had varied processing times, 2 week to a period of 1 month. Fingers crossed, your passport will get to you before your travel date. |

Andrewtee122: Good morning I'm a silent reader and I applied in November, I got this request letter from IRCC this morning don't know what it means I'm confused The letter states that you are owing the sum of 235 Cad. Did you ever at any point engage the service of anyone or company for immigration services? The letter says settle the debt and explain why you incurred and did not pay up. Just take time to reflect. I am sure it’s something that you will be able to sort out. |

Already requested for GCMS note and deferred to September 2021. I’m thinking of submitting another application immediately or should I just wait a little ? Sorry about this delay. It’s good that you have deferred. I think the GCMS notes will shed more light and give you better insight into the thoughts of the VO and help you repackage better. I think you should wait for the notes. It will end in praise. |

papijulah: please again o! the pprppr letter states tgey can issue visa beyond the validity of my passport.
now, i have less than 12 months on my passport. is it advisable to get a new passport and attach it with the old one before sending it to the emassy? I think what you are supposed to do is to quickly renew your passport. After you get the new one. Send a web form to IRCC informing them about the new development and also quickly send in your passport before the deadline. Please wait to also hear from others just to be sure. |

Lemme know if IRCC is opening my file at all I don’t think anyone can certainly say yes or no to this. I think you should just know that they are working on your application. The ghost updates also are not fixed so you might not stumble on it. I am sure your application is being worked on and you just most likely have not stumbled on the ghost updates. Circular202: I’m new here can someone guide me I just finished my NYSC and planning on having my masters there in Canada so I don’t mind if anyone can recommend a school for me over there and their link so I can register and apply for a program. Thank you. Welcome, First you can go through the thread and read up from the past chats, it will help you. Also no one can recommend a school for you without knowing what course you want to study and all that. You need to decide on what you want to study, then narrow down by searching for school that offer that course. You can then narrow down and look through their requirements and see if you qualify. You can then apply once you meet their requirements. |

olasubomy: Actually, it is not a stupid question, you have asked a very good question which is a valid concern. The answer is NO. Ordering GCMS notes has no negative effect on your application.
I had the same concern when my application was still running and based on my research the department that works on processing appications are diffierent from the ones that deliver these GCMS notes. They are two different teams.
It would end in praise. Thanks so much for this. Amen. It will end in praise |

Please i want to ask a question that seems stupid. Kindly please oblige me.
Does requesting for GCMS notes affect one’s application negatively in any way if the decision has not been communicated?
I mentioned to someone that I wanted to apply to know the state of my application and the person discouraged me from doing that.
Kindly help clarify please. Thank you.
Thank you. |

Cuddles7: My spouse got a 2nd refusal today for exact same reasons.. personal assets and financial status. Meanwhile we had about 9.5 million in his account and we submitted 12 months banking history via mybankstatement. Plus showed he is a member of a board of a company that has been running for over 35yrs. (Family business)
Seems judicial review is the only way out now. Cos there's nothing more to add.
First refusal was based on purpose of visit in September. Reapplied November now this....it's heartbreaking. So sorry about this refusal. I really do not know what to say as it’s somewhat confusing now. With all the profiles. Don’t get the reasons for refusal. Please try and get GCMS notes for more clarification. Does anyone know how to go about the judicial review process? Got a rejection on my second application on the basis of financial status and personal assets (This did not even come up in my first application). ifychybrian: Please must one go for medical before submitting his application online.
Also If you submit you application and the commission then asks you to go for medicals , does that imply that the visa will be granted once your medical is OK.
Thank you It is not compulsory to do the medicals before submitting the application. If you submit and one is asked to go for medicals, it shows that your application is progressing very well and positively. I think until you get your PPR, there is no absolute guarantee. However, getting a medical request from IRCC shows that the chances of getting a PPR is high if the medicals are okay. |
