This is a very difficult time for students traveling . With this new coronavirus restrictions. Students can travel to Canada but there’s a huge problem

You will need to book an hotel for 3 days ( mandatory) at your first stop even if you are having a connecting flight . The price is as high as $1,760 for the 3 days especially in areas like Vancouver and Toronto

Afterwards you will continue your quarantine as your final destination.

Another issue of concern is that you can only book these hotels through the Government designated line and you will be on call with them for up to 3hours before they can book on your behalf

If your results for COVID-19 after arrival comes out before the third day . There’s no guarantee that they will refund you . You need to check the hotel refund policy on that . Also, they government are saying one can online book these hotels within 48 hours before your flight

The new rule is unpredictable and someone needs to carefully plan his/her travels.

I need urgent help: my brother submitted his family's passports for their visas and they came back today without the visas and with these papers attached.

I don't really understand what the issue is. The children didn't need to do biometrics. Their parents did their biometrics in Abuja. My brother also submitted passports in Abuja with all the necessary documents he used to submit his and there was no issue with his. What is this transmission fee about?

Please note that he sent his wife and two children's passports in one package.

Can someone please deduce what they mean to enable them sort it out promptly.

Not sure but from what was stated on the envelopes, I think they expect the transmission fee of 7430 to be paid for the two children despite the fact that they did not do Biometrics.

The fee is referred to as transmission fee.

I think once they pay and resend it will be stamped.

Whether or not that is allowed is another topic.

I haven't check, it's just someone's experience. They had to send her family back to Nigeria because of the exemption letter (Approved permanent residence holder).

If it is family members, they are supposed to request for an exemption to fly letter or something like that. The family will not be allowed to fly if they don’t have that. Someone stated that on this platform before. The experience he had with his own family, wife and daughter. Mother was cleared to fly, daughter was not.

I was just going to come ask about this here too. Let me still go ahead and ask. The agency I was talking to as per ticket was sending one kain mail that only citizens and PR holder can travel.

How long after they start eligibility reviewing will one get a response? Please, I would love to get random answers. Cos in my first application i was refused study permit 72hrs after the eligibility review started. But I know some persons that didn't hear from IRCC till about 2 months after.

I don’t think anyone can categorically say or confidently beat their chest that they know the pattern of how this application matter works.

There might be a pattern but no one knows the timing.

Once you submit, just try and take a deep breathe and pray and to hear favourably from them.

Yeah Yteem was right. Don't mind the people telling you that you are banned. If you can explain the anomaly as regards the name of your mother on application and Sworn affidavit then you are good to go . You have to reapply and address the issue accordingly.

@Onweke, please let her mind them o. The letter actually states that she is banned. However if she feels she can explain the discrepancy WELLA she is free to reapply and prove beyond reasonable doubt that she did not misrepresent information.

Not what I am saying. The letter says you are welcome to reapply if you think you can speak clearly to the matter of misrepresentation that has been leveled against you.

It is solely their discretion to grant visa or to refuse visa. The task of convincing them I can say is not a small one but if you feel up to it and you have solid evidence why not.

Your evidence has to be tight and solid.

Think through it and take the necessary steps.

First of all, please try and take down the letters and blot out your personal details. This is a public platform and you should not release your information anyhow to be on the safe side.

Secondly, they have pointed out two things: the name of your mum on your application is different from the name you quoted as mum in the sworn affidavit.

Two different people can not be your mum at the same time.

If it is true, then this is a clear case of misrepresentation and they DO NOT take such likely.

It has been stated that if you can clearly explain the reason behind the discrepancies, then apply and explain and see what happens.

This is a serious case and you should thread with utmost caution.

Did you complete payment?

If no, then your request is not valid. Just ignore as I’m sure your request will not be treated if they don’t receive payment.

The person whose details is in that form is the one who is abroad na. It’s either you know someone directly or you use a third party. That site is a third party site.

Leave it blank if it will save like that. If not put in the date you are submitting. I think that should suffice.

I don’t think you need to do a reset. Just go to that same part, click upload and then upload the one that you have validated. It will override and replace whatever is previously there.

If it is stated there as the law of the school, then that is it. Different schools with different laws.

2015 till now is over 5 years. Try look for other schools that will accompany you with that gap.

Upfront medical done on 6th of January and updated to pass on 13th of January 2021.

Eligibility started on 14th of January, 2021.

Gcms applied for on 21st of January, 2021 and got a response on 22nd of February 2021. Below are the assessment summary on the note.
Eligibility- Recommend Interview
Criminality- Passed - Bio
Medical- Passed
Info Sharing- Complete
Counterfoil Rep- Y

I'm May 2021 intake for PGD.

Sent a mail to Nairobi(Primary office) and London(Sec Office) on 22nd pleading to fasttrack my application as this will help in my preparation and I got the below response

I used the UPS office @Toyin street Ikeja opposite St Leo Catholic Church.

I paid 16800 for 2 ways. That is 8400 per way.

I did not pay for insurance. The guy there said no need as I asked him about it.
