Crime / Re: 19-Year-Old Boys Gang-Rape A Girl To Death In Ibadan, Record, Upload On Facebook by yunabdul: 6:41am On Feb 19, 2022
immortalcrown:
When I say that what "Nigeria" needs most is mental rehabilitation, misguided youths doubt it. These two rapists will become civil servants tomorrow. Which system or facility will make them serve well while their mindset is still unchanged?

Examples:
The police has helicopters, guns, patrol vans, armored vehicles and etcetera. None of these things has been properly used. But irrational Nigerians think giving the police body camera will make the police reliable.

Nigeria failed to do proper elections without card readers. People claimed that getting card readers will transform the electoral system. Card readers arrived and voting got worse. They now claim that electronic voting will remedy the situation. How can electronic voting solve the problem when humans with the same corrupt and crafty mindset will control the electronic system?
You are absolutely right. The impact of technology can only be felt when on the control of proper mindset.

Countries with good leaders perfected surveillance with 3G network. But with 4G in Nigeria, banks are struggling to verify NIN. With 4G, JAMB candidates get frustrated by poor internet connection. All these happen because of corruption. But misguided people are shouting that deployment of 5G in Nigeria will miraculously solve the problem.

SIM card registration was said to end kidnapping and fraud. Kidnapping and fraud became easier and more common as SIM registration became a norm.

These rapists are the kind of brains that will keep taking society back if the adoption of different systems of governance and purchase of ultra-modern equipment is chosen over mental rehabilitation.

well that's a lie . Votes actually count , if it doesn't count politicians won't be buying it during elections . The problem is that Nigerians like voting along tribal and religious lines . That's why they are always stuck between the devil and the blue sea
You are right. Nigerians allowed themselves to be dividend along religion and ethnic lines. That is why you see them defending and celebrating criminals.

Members of the Federal House of Representative , the Senators representing senatorial districts, your oversight function on these projects starts now. Take note of this and start following up the project in your zones to ensure its executions.
If the government and the contractors know that your are sincerely monitoring their work it will put them on their toes. Please wake up to your responsibility.

NDDC was created for the development of Niger Delta as the name implies. Who are best in management of the resources for the development of a region than those who originated from that that region. But what got me thinking is that the same people that suppose to put their heads together for development of their region are the one doing otherwise, looting what is meant for development of their own land. Why, I'm still asking? Do these people believed that one day they will all leave these wealth behind and shall account for them at all?

[b]This is a great achievement. Whether the losers, the haters like it or not Nigeria is moving forward. They are some people in this forum, whether PMB will take food to their houses and spoon feed every day and night, they will never see anything good in him. Do you know why? hatred eluded their minds and prevent them from differentiating between right and wrong.
Politics / Re: PDP Wants Buhari To Thank Jonathan For Defeat Of Boko Haram by yunabdul: 8:52am On Dec 28, 2016
PDP is a joker. They want to be identified with any achievement of this administration, when they had the opportunity for 16 years and wasted it.
Left for PDP Nigeria as a country would have been a history.

DropShot:
This PDP and FFK no go kill person oooooo.

grin grin grin grin grin

PDP is Boko Haram - General Owoye Azazi. He was murdered by dem dem for that statement.

I headed a military that lacked equipment and motivation to fight - Alex Badeh. As if na me and Nairalanders go buy equipment and provide motivation for them.

It's too dangerous to send troops to Sambisa forest else you waste their lives - General minimah

I can go on and on to prove that GEJ and his political Generals were too docile, wicked and corrupt to be able to achieve any meaningful result with Boko Haram.

And the most painful of all of this is the humongous amount they wasted (actually looted through ATM Dasuki). Their Defense budget increased year on year, yet what we got was more bombing of civilian centres, sacking of military bases, taking over of villages by Boko Haram, buying of obsolete weapons (obsolete fighter jets that could not fly or be serviced for more than tripple the price of brand new ones).

See their budget on security for the four years of 2011 to 2015:

2010 - 826.3 billion
2011 - 920.3 billion
2012 - 9244.8 billion
2013 - 923.5 billion
2014 - 920.9 billion
2015 - 934 billion

And 2016 it was N429 billion under a shrewd but tactical PMB.

What is wrong with people? Do they want to get to promise land without going through difficulties? Do they want a permanent solution for today's generation and generations to come without paying for it? Really Nigerians are impatience. We are just about getting out of the grabs of the cabals, the cabals are fighting back and you are supporting them with your impatience.
By the time everything work out fine, I trust you, you will all change your mouth and shout sai baba. And so shall be.

Crime / DSS Official Statement On Barnawi And IPOB by yunabdul: 9:51pm On Apr 09, 2016
This Service wish to inform the general public that further to its efforts to stem the tide of terrorism in the Country, it has recorded another major breakthrough in the arrest of one Mohammed USMAN, widely known as Khalid AL-BARNAWI, alias KAFURI/ NAZIRU/ ALHAJI YAHAYA/MALLAM DAUDA/ALHAJI TANIMU.

Khalid Al-Barnawi
Department of State Services
2. Khalid AL-BARNAWI was apprehended by this Service on 1st April, 2016, in Lokoja, Kogi State, while hiding under a false cover. AL-BARNAWI was a founding member of the Jama'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid Da'wah Wa'l-Jihad (Boko Haram) and later the Amir of the break-away faction, Jama'at Ansarul Muslimim Fi Biladi Sudan (JAMBS).

3. Khalid AL-BARNAWI is a trained terrorist commander, who has been coordinating terrorist activities in Nigeria, while talent-spotting and recruiting vulnerable young and able Nigerians for terrorist training by Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) in North African States and the Middle-East.

4. Subject was involved in many terrorist attacks in States of the Federation, including Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Sokoto and FCT-Abuja. This resulted in the killing and maiming of innocent citizens of this Country. ALBARNAWI is also responsible for the bombing of the United Nations building in Abuja, on 26th August, 2011; the kidnapping of two European civil engineers in Kebbi State in May, 2011, and their subsequent murder in Sokoto State; the kidnap of a German engineer, Edgar RAUPACH in January, 2012, the kidnap and murder of seven expatriate staff of Setraco Construction Company at Jama'are, in Bauchi State in February, 2013, the attack of Nigerian troops at Okene in Kogi State, while on transit to Abuja for an official assignment.

5. Meanwhile, subject would soon be charged to Court to face his charges after investigation is completed.

6. This arrest is a major milestone in the counter-terrorism fight of this Service. This arrest has strengthened the Service’s resolve that no matter how long and far perpetrators of crime and their sponsors may run, this Service in collaboration with other sister security agencies, will bring them to justice.

7. In another development, the Service has uncovered the heinous role played by members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), in the abduction/kidnap of five Hausa-Fulani residents, namely Mohammed GAINAKO, Ibrahim MOHAMMED, Idris YAKUBU, and Isa Mohammed RAGO at Isuikwuato LGA in Abia State.

8. The abducted men were later discovered at the Umuanyi forest, Abia State, where they were suspected to have been killed by their abductors and buried in shallow graves, amidst fifty (50) other shallow graves of unidentified persons. Arrest and investigation conducted so far, revealed that elements within the IPOB, carried out this dastardly action.

9. It is pertinent therefore to alert the general public that IPOB, is gradually showing its true divisive colour and objectives, while steadily embarking on gruesome actions in a bid to ignite ethnic terrorism and mistrust amongst non-indigenes in the South-East region and other parts of the country. Following this act, tension is currently rife among communal stakeholders in the State with possibilities of spillover to other parts of country.

10. Against the foregoing, the Service will not hesitate to act decisively within its statutory mandate to ensure that the sponsors and perpetrators of this action are apprehended and prosecuted for their crime. Accordingly, law-abiding citizens are enjoined to go about their civil duties and businesses freely, as efforts are being intensified by security agencies to maintain law and order in the State and across the Federation.

THANK YOU,

Tony OPUIYO
DSS, Abuja.

I like cartoon that convey meaningful message. This one is not one of them. Because while the first part depict the high cost of food items in the market and the President's travelling in plane to other countries, the second part depict that 2016 budget is not real which is not true. The 2016 budget is real and it has been passed by the National assembly awaiting the Presidential assent.
A mixture of lies and truth.

Kudos to NA for a good job.
There are some people on this platform that are too blind, too deaf and too paralyzed to see, hear and feel a positive development or steps taken by this Administration. I don't blame them much because they have been conditioned by one inclination or the other.
They will never see anything good in Buhari even if He personally spoon feed them in their houses.Take it or leave it no administration exists without their type.

They are lacking opposition strategies. Let them go back to school.
