I lived in Austria for a short while and in Germany for many years but always legally. My question for you is why if you cant speak German would you want to live there - not very realistic i must say.
Austria has one of the toughest immigration policies in the world and there is a lot of prejudice against blacks, especially Africans. I think I was treated ok mostly because I have an english first and last name and an American passport (mom from Naija, dad black American). You're best bet to enter is an a student but if that isnt an option (without german skills you probably can not as there is a required test of German for all university applicants) then dont because without German skils and valid papers life as black man in Austria will be very stressful for you, very stressful ,

Almost all countries have enough menial workers and if not they have agreements with some countries to bring them. Nigeria doesnt have any agreement with any countries outside west Africa to allow unskilled workers to settle there. So nobody mentions it because there are no such visas. You can not enter UK, US, mainland EU or SA legally to do unskilled work , its not possible, you would need another kind of visa or else to enter illegally and then it wont be easy to find any legal work without papers, SORRY

Basically no country outside Africa is Visa free for Nigerian passport holders the way many are for US, UK, EU, or even South African holders.

Yes there are few that allow Nigerians visa-free entry in the Carribean, south Asia and the middle east but you need a transit visa to get to these countries as direct flights from West Africa are unlikely from there to say Barbados or Tonga and gettign a transit visa isnt always easy.

Also even without an entry visa requirement you can be turned back and sent straight home in any country if they discover you dont have enough funds for your trip and chances are as a Nigerian you will be scrutinized very closely for this,

Nigeria will not break up; it’s a relatively young country. Nigeria is only 49 years old. All Nigeria need are some good leaders, like fashola and others, to do better and it will. It took America 120 years or so before it had its industrializing. So just because Nigeria isn’t modern right now doesn’t mean anything. It’s a fact that Nigeria is improving and many investors are flooding into the country. There no point to divide. Just because your area of the country isn’t developing fast doesn’t mean the rest of the country isn’t developing. Anyways Nigeria will remain one, even though you see these fools brain washing you about separating.

You are right Nairaland does need more mods to stop people like YOU FROM SPREADING MISINFORMATION BECAUSE EVERYTHING YOU SAID WAS WRONG. I dont blame you, instead which ever school system you went through was not very good at teaching history or geography. I did my undergrad degree many years ago in history and political science at one of the most prestigious universities in the US so please dont try to debate this subject with me.

I will demonstrate why practically everything you said wasnt true, sorry I am not beind rude but its for the benefit of truth and your own education.

1. You say Yugoslavia, Austria-Hungary and Russia were split apart because of world war I

WRONG, 

- Yugoslavia split apart in the 1990s, almost 80 years after World War I. There wasnt even a state called Yugoslavia until after World War I.

- I never mentioned Russia. My list included the Soviet Union, which is not the same as Russia (only one part of the SU) and it also like Yugoslavia   didnt split apart until the 1990s.

- Austria Hungary was already on the verge of splitting apart before the Great War. The Hungarians, Czechs, and South Slavs all had movements for their independence before the war and the Hungarians fought a violent revolution for independence in the 1840s but lost to the Austrians which is the only reason they were forced to stay in Austria-Hungary. All of these groups were very happy to leave Austrian-Hungary and domination by the German Austrians and werent forced to do so.

2. You say [/b]Sweden and Norway were never united in one common state, wrong.
- There was a country called Sweden-Norway or the United Kingdom of Sweden and Norway and it existed between 1814 and 1905, ,  it wasnt founded in 1880s. The Battle of Leipzig happened in 1813 not the 1880s. It was very much a country with one government and one king until the Norwegians voted for their independence and split the COUNTRY INTO TWO STATES.

3.[b]You say some European and Asian countries are centuries old. Yes thats true but I assure you they all have a dominant ethnic group or some common religion or language that hold them together. Actually the oldest states in the world are all ones that have a common ethnic identity or are dominated by one majority group,  Japan, Great Britain, France, etc.

4. You say South and Central America nations have numerous tribes true these groups are mostly native group who are either minorites or have been dominated by the white Spanish elites who control these societies. They can not be compared to Nigeria where several very large ethnic groups numbering in the millions and none large enough to dominate and no common religion or native tongue.


If you dont believe please read a few books on the subjects mentioned or if neccesary use the internet for information but be careful which sources you choose.

Go learn to write in proper sentences please,   but even if you could put your thoughts together in decent english your points would still not be proof that Nigeria isnt unique in the world. Yes India has muslims, no duh, but it also has an over 80% hindu majority who dominate and hold the country together and like I said above plenty of European countries have split up in the past ( see below)

I have to disagree, remember the wars in the Yugoslavia less than 20 years ago, those wars were strictly ethnic and probably as much of a percent of some of those countries populations as the Nigerian Civil did in Nigeria, and World War 2 had a lot of ethnic motivations as Hitler was decided that his ethnic group should rule the others in Europe and |Europeans killed more than 30 million of each other in that war, Ethnic divisions are human - there is nothing uniquely African about it ,

As I said Nigeria is a white man's mistake and no other large country in the world is in a similar unworkable demographic position with very distinct with no common language or religion and no one dominant group to anchor them together

Young lady please read a history book. The transatlantic slave trade was only possible on the scale it was because African kingdoms participated and made profit from the sale of other Africans. European whites didnt have the ability to access the interior of tropical west africa on their own during the times when the slave trade was at its strongest (18th century) and it was only by using slaves supplied from Africans or by using African scouts that Europeans were able to get hold of millions of black people to ship into slavery.

If anyone deserves an apology for that it is African Americans, Carribeans and Latin Americans not the descendants of the people who sold their ancestors into slavery.

South Africa and Egypt are the only countries on the African continent that can be called "powers" , Nigeria has not yet even come close to living up to its true potential. The Nigerian economy is smaller than that of small minor European countries like Belgium or Greece despite its oil and is less than 2/3 the size of South Africa's despite have more than twice as many people, Nigeria is no giant in any area except population!

Africa only needs apoligies from the bastard African politicians who have raped her and left her people in misery, not from an American who is not to blame for the continents suffering,

That is why he chose Ghana over Kenya, his father's country or Nigeria. Kenya has been having horrible problems with tribalism in recent years and Nigeria is certainly not a true democracy, Obama and his administration were clearly sending a message that this government will support successful democracies in Africa instead of just supporting who ever is the friendliest to US policy,

If you read the news you would know already, its also already been discussed on the forum in several threads. The White House made it very clear that Ghana was chosen because it is one of the strongest democracies in Africa.
