Once upon a time, a wealthy and wise father, gave his two sons, Olu and Ade, equal amounts of money to invest in the Nigeria stock market. Ade, "loves to punch numbers" to find stocks to invest in and regarded other stocks outside this as monkey hunting and gambling. Olu on the other hand, enjoy picking stocks that have large money flowing in & filter social media for news.

Olu noticed stocks that met his criteria and bought them thereby turning his given money by 500%. Ade, because of the economic situation of Nigeria, kept his money because all the stocks rising are regarded MH and gambling.

Months later, their father called them together. He praised Olu for his diligence, foresight, and courage, rewarding him with additional capital to invest. "You've multiplied what was given to you," the father said proudly, "and you shall be entrusted with even greater responsibility."

Turning to Ade, the father expressed disappointment. "You played it too safe, ignoring opportunities in fear and regarding Olu as gambler. You will lose part of your investment allowance and I will give them to Olu.

The characters and events in this story are purely fictional.

For those on this forum who own Oando, word on the street is that they have sold a significant portion of theirs between NGN80 to NGN90, so leave matter for Mathias (apologies to Pa Emma).
Fresh cash must be made whichever path they might take.🙃

Market has been stale. All the sharks are in Rivers State. Honeywell still on the radar. Insurance insuring.

In the mean time, a hotel is up for sale in Port-Harcourt. Valuation 750m. Private chat me for details
I guess insurance has insured.
Honey was Well on the radar, but never sure of the content. Could this be it. Still not holding.

To the MH ambassador, if you're convinced you're buying overpriced stock, there's the brewery sector for you to go line up on. Prices are bottom barrel. Help them with their RIs wink

Ps: I still advocate you buy with sense across all stock.

I agree with @Zagee

Sometimes, it just doesn’t make sense.

Heard that they are collaborating with a foreign firm to use electric motors/vehicles for their water transportation venture, but how profitable could that be?
To the part that makes sense. Besides the new frontier they have going in their yard, they are the only stock yet to do the post-naira-floatation jump. But clearly over 2 now. Results will be able to hold it up in due time.

One stock picked on this forum I regretted not joining was Caverton. Somebody mentioned it on this thread when it was still very cheap and ripe for entry, I just placed it on my watchlist without investing some money on it.

This morning, I reviewed my watchlist, and I was shocked Caverton has done over 80%.

Unless the person was trading (selling high and buying low) I don't see how 1m naira worth Tesla will be 500m naira now. The lowest Tesla sold during COVID was at an average of around 15usd, exchange rate in 2019(covid started in 2019) was around 380. Price of Tesla later peaked at 400usd+. So it should not be worth more than 110m now.
Irrespective it's sad how bad Naija economy and exchange rate has become within just 4 years!!! sad
I hope you know there was a shares split in between which later spiked? Just pointing this out.

You seem to have not been in Nigeria when you talk about reducing oil theft. Have you seen how they have been some what serious with illegal bunkering in the creeks. I have overhead several "boys" complaining and quitting because saboteurs are spilling these sites to the Make-shift Tantita. It is working. The hawks are home, so they will feast on anyone found lurking.
The whole Tantita stuff which was setup with a monthly rumoured 4billion opex to you-know-who is one of the reason that black Alhaji has been making noise. Camps are not settled.

Fun fact:
Oando has only experienced two months of "significant" profit taking(100m+ in volume) this year at circa 16 and circa 9.

The last 3 months witnessed strong bulls in excess of 300m+ in volume and 500m+ only in August.

I was just a Covid corper. By my education I was very much exposed to oil and gas matters at my level. Seeing Occidental at such ridiculous prices even at the back of just acquiring anadarko. I was like is it ment??🤣

WTI touched a negative(one of the motivation of looking at the commodities market).
We can't talk about the patient lying wealth during covid19 and the cons of that period(RIP to all we lost).

I agree with this thought.
He has said it before that insurance is en easy money-making machine. Berkshire's sell off is very selective across his interests. I haven't read/heard of sales of Spotify, Coca-cola, Occidental pet, Amex (seeing it for the first time in your post), insurance etc.
You see that Occidental, he picked it up when it can be considered as a penny stock in 2020 down pour. Till date I have an average of circa $10 on it. The Prince of Omaha doubled(just being conservative) his already existing "fat cash" portfolio.
