Oghene1st:Yes, they're right. The zero sum geopolitics of the US is responsible. Secondly, the US wants to contain China, unfortunately for them they are fixated in coercing Russia and disregarding Russia instead of taking cognizance if it's security interests. At the end of all these, the US no matter it's bravado, will not just wave away Russian concern anymore. This is an old video on YouTube by a certain American Prof. Maybe you can watch and get another context from the prevalent narrative in the media. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrMiSQAGOS4 |
rickpat:People don't want to understand that the vast majority of people dying are Ukrainians and some Russian soldiers. It's inevitable. But instead of them to find a way to create a scene for dialogue, they're increasing the fire. At the end if Russia decides to go gunho, they may start applying the blanket bombing that they did in the early hours of their anti ISIS operation in Syria. And this will be more damaging than any sanctions that the US and Co will be putting on Russia |

The BBC also spread British and American propaganda. So maybe they should be banned from the Russian media space too. As for so called defensive weapons; the UK has been sending weapons to Ukraine since in violation of the Minsk accord that Boris Johnson quoted when condemning Russian action as a violation of the agreement. If war really breaks out, many of those weapons will end up with Russian as it did before in Georgia. The only defensive weapons I believe are Air defense systems and I know UK doesn't even produce good ones. |
Oddfinder:Russian development only speeds up when they are under sanctions. The EU and US are today locked in a battle at the WTO because Russia retaliated to their sanctions by banning imports from them too. This has affected the EU and US too. So they dragged Russia to WTO. I'm waiting for the decision. If reciprocity is part of diplomacy or not |
techWriter0:It's very funny when I see the US mentioning the Minsk accord. The Minsk accord was signed by France, Germany, Ukraine, Russia and the rebellious regions. The us wasn't part of it. But recently they have been demanding that the Minsk accord be renegotiated inorder for them to also protect their own interests in it. The Minsk accord provided the roadmap for Ukraine to reconcile with the rebellious regions and take back full control of the areas. But the Ukrainian current government, refused to implement it with backing from the US. This regime banned the speaking of Russian in public and in the media space in Ukraine since 2014. About 40% of Ukrainians speak Russian as their first language. Some don't even know a word of Ukrainian. But these people are being systematically cut out of the Ukrainian society. Ukraine imposed a blockade against these people. You don't blockade people you want to remain with you. I earlier thought that zelensky would use this escalation to convince those who oppose the implementation of the Minsk accord that he has no choice if they want to regain control of the Donbass back, he must implement it. But he instead chose to play to American interests against Ukraine's own national unity interest |
Kentucky404:Don't mind the guy. Even if he travelled there, did he visit everywhere? Can he even understand when a Russian says 'Privet'? |
GreyLaw:Being brainwashed and thinking you know so much is exactly what you are displaying here. What do you know about the interior of Russia? You don't speak Russian and probably haven't even met a Russian but you know you could get Russian women to runaway with you for cheap. If so how many have you been able to pick as companions or to elope with you? Grow out of your brainwashed cocoon |
duro4chang:Yahaya Bello is not presidential material, he should return to his transportation business |
MufasaLion:Saddist |
Look at Ethiopia! There was a political disagreement and the tigrayan regional security forces are today at war with the federal security forces of Ethiopia. Nigeria has some of the worst bigots in the world and any attempt at empowering them in the name of state police will go very badly for the country. Imagine if Jonah Kang had state police, he would have used it to deal with the ANPP candidates who won the local government election in Jos North because he claimed they were not indigenes of the state |
MyopicMods:I know Igbos donate heavily to the Catholic Church because I am a Catholic. Maybe it's because the Catholic Church is just one of the very few church that still preaches the word of God |
ruggedtimi:That also makes them very vulnerable. Every part of Israel is within Iranian missiles range. And Iran can simply target those sites with their missiles armed with conventional warheads and the resulting explosions will set-off the nuclear weapons and Israel will be very badly destroyed by their own weapons. Israel's only saving grace will become their submarine, if they're nuclear armed, they can then retaliate but I know they won't use conventional warheads. |
ezegenigbonine:Tell us about one |
MangekyoAlt:Talk is cheap. Iran is not hamas or Palestinians that Israel specialises in annual massacres. They can't even defeat Hezbollah armed by Iran, it's Iran that some boko haram in Christian clothing think they can |
ChiefSosa:Well done. Once you choose to be a soldier, you have agreed that your life is not totally under your control. Everyone must realize this. Even my sister no dey send for my side when she dey on duty. |
MainblockAngle:His decision is good particularly as stated by the group. But I hope it doesn't create any unnecessary disturbance in the system. |
ogododo:Congratulations to him. Eto'o scoresssssssss |
Pointnoire:Only ignorant people believed that the video is authentic. I've gone too far in this country to believe such nonsense. |
JavaScript90:You that is not evil but supports evil, who is paying you to support evil? If they are not sincere, what stops you from showing your own sincerity? Say you are happy the accused stole money to weaken the country. Let us clap for you. |
iamehmakute:The US that has hundreds of thousands of troops in Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Lithuania, turkey and in Ukraine since 2014 after they used their USAID and CIA to steer up the overthrow of an elected president for the second time in the history of Ukraine, all targeted at Russia, do they have plans to invade Russia? If Russia likes, let her deploy millions of troops to the boarder with Ukraine, they're on Russian territory. The US can go to hell. As long as Ukraine refuses to abide by the Minsk agreement because the Americans told them to do so, they will continue to be under the threat of invasion by Russia, which is a guarantor to the Minsk agreement. George Bush made all the noise about Georgia, pushed Georgia into attacking south Ossetia and Abkhazia, Russia intervene and taught Georgia a lesson. What did the most warmongering president of the US in recent times do? Nothing! If Ukraine doesn't behave itself, it will get the same treatment especially if the US keeps deploying troops there. |
Kwanza:Ganduje is acting like a foolish man. The best thing to do is to appeal the kangaroo judgement. By the judgement of the Court, it has accepted in itself that a member of a committee consisting of 7 men can act as the committee and be referred to legally as the committee. I don't see where that is possible. The congress committee of APC sent from Abuja supervised and certified the one conducted by the ganduje group. That single man who approved that of shekarau is a renegade. In my opinion |
Gospelpreacher1:This newspaper is mixing two things to spread antirussia propaganda. The US decided to expell russian diplomats. They have been denying visas for family members of Russian diplomats since the time of Obama. And right now the US has asked over 30 diplomats to leave. So Russia is reciprocating by asking all American diplomats who have been in Russia for three years or more to leave by January 31st. And if the US continues, another set must leave by June 1st. As for the claim that Russia was invading Ukraine. Annually Russia does combat readiness tests for her armed forces. Last year, it was conducted on the western boarders of Russia. This year, they're focusing on the Eastern flanks. But because the US is encouraging Ukraine to keep disregarding the Minsk accord it signed with Donbass, and move into a war in Donbass, they fear that having such a large deployment of forces in that area is against the grandplan. Hencehr need to spread lies and hysteria to paint Russia is the bad guy and bully. It's not new. NATO conducts similar exercises explicitly targeted against Russia, no one complains. So what is the fuss about? |
Intelligence operations in foreign land is not supposed to be a public information except the government decides to make it public. At least, I can presumably say kudos to the NIA |
Repackaged story. I read this in an interview |
Officialhorlah:Lai muhammed, you are making too much noise. |
Christiansen:We don't have. But do we need it? |
booscy:Ignorance personified. |
Clowns making a fuss about nothing. Terrorists propagandist doing what they know how to do. Whether terrorists IPOB like it or not, our army and police will wipe them out very soon. |
If you are pained, go and form your own army and make yourself COAS |
In my place, it's 2.5-3k |
Atiku Bagudu doesn't speak for APC. He is their governors forum chairman and not the forum. So I believe he is expressing his own opinion based on his interest. Other people will also do the same |
RagaMufeen:You have not seen the Philippines example? You have seen and will see the Nigerian example. Now Igbo smokers will meet other Igbo smokers with license to destroy enemies of the state |
