As for so called defensive weapons; the UK has been sending weapons to Ukraine since in violation of the Minsk accord that Boris Johnson quoted when condemning Russian action as a violation of the agreement. If war really breaks out, many of those weapons will end up with Russian as it did before in Georgia. The only defensive weapons I believe are Air defense systems and I know UK doesn't even produce good ones.
