I am back again.

I have been unable to book my flight for some days now because this airline keeps rejecting my Visa Gold card despite my name being on the card. I also entered all the card details correctly.

This is the same card that i used in payment of my visa fees earlier; so the card has no issues. (I notified FBN about the issue and they confirmed the card is fine).

Has anyone else encountered this problem, ever?

How were you able to sort it out?

Abeg, i need help o. Make people with such experience assist/advise biko.

Turkish Airline over Egypt air. I have used both on London/Manchester to Lagos/Abuja routes.

They have their plus and minuses. At the end arrival to your destination is all you want.
Turkish on long lay overs give you meal until next departure. Egypt does but I think restricted to once.
Other than that the same comfort, different entertainment (Egypt will present Egyptian hit), turkey will present you with Turkish hit).

Also, I think Egypt air has got 15mins on air internet, after that you need to pay to enjoy such services, whilst I can't remember such whilst I used Turkish

Hence mixed review on google/trip advisor

Hi everyone,
Please, I need reviews on which of these two airlines is better to fly in, from Lagos to London Heathrow (in terms of comfort, entertainment and stopover/connecting flights, missing luggage, etc.) :
Egypt Air vs Turkish Airlines.

Price difference is about 100,000naira between them (TA is more expensive) but stopover time with TA is a few hours lesser than EA.

I have never flown either of them (Google/Trip Advisor reviews are mixed and didn't help me decide).

I no get money for BA or Virgin Atlantic

Anyone with experience from flying either or both airlines should help.

I wan book flight tomorrow morning please.

Since he paid for self assisted service already, i feel he should just write a cover letter stating that he erroneously omitted the visa refusal from China, then state the refusal date. Then submit at TLS as part of documents to be uploaded with his application. I see no point in cancelling his application for that reason, honestly.

I got my passport delivered to me today (i paid for courier service at the biometric center) with my visa stamped on it ooo ge ge!

Thank you all for your input on all my questions (especially on my 11 page cover letter which i eventually reduced to 8 pages ).

I believe the cover letter made the ECO grant me the visa, because, the only Major thing that has changed between 2019 when i got a refusal and now, is that my savings increased by 50%, every other detail remains constant.

Biometric Date: 28th February 2023 (Application was transferred to UKVI on the same day)

Venue: Ikeja Lagos

"Visa application currently under consideration" mail: 2nd March 2023

"Shipment out for delivery" mail from DHL: 13th March 2023

Passport delivery/Receipt : Today, 14thMarch 2023

"Travel document ready for collection" & "Travel document returned by courier" mail: Came in after i had received my passport (obviously )

I have 3 bank accounts: a salary account, a savings account and another life saving account where i keep money i don't need urgently.
I tend to move money from the first account to the second then from second to third
so, a lot of movement (huge deposits) happen every month.
The explanation in the cover letter is to show the deposit and withdrawal from one account to the second and third account for each month since January 2022 till date.
i decided to break it down like this because my visa application was denied in 2019, even with a balance of over 40M in all 3 accounts. ( i feel its because i didn't do a breakdown/explanation of the huge deposits and withdrawals). So, i am trying not to take chances this time around.
More like, better safe than sorry.
i used font size 12 calibri ( I might reduce the font size to 9 to reduce the number of pages).
Any further advice is welcome.

Hello my people,

I am applying for a UK Visitors visa for the second time (First application was declined in 2019).

I'm planning to travel by the end of February and return by March. My passport will expire in MID-July this year 2023.

I just got captured for renewal at the passport office but the earliest the new passport can come out is in 2 weeks time.

Considering that passports may stay with UKVI for about a month, plus appointment time at TLS (roughly 5/6 weeks in total),

Is it advisable that i go ahead and apply with my old passport (it has less than six (6) months validity on it).

OR

Do i wait for the new passport to be ready before applying? (This will move my application date & travelling date forward by at least 2 weeks).

I would prefer the visa to be in my new passport, but time is a factor.

I need to enter a passport number to continue my application, every second counts.

I’m about to submit a visit visa app to attend a cousin’s wedding. He gave me wedding invitation already. His elder brother also gave me invitation letter stating that he will provide housing and food for me. Please how did you respond to the questions below:

1- Do you have a family member who is a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident? (IRCC defines this as spouse or common law partner or children

2- Considering that I have a letter from the elder brother to provide housing and food, how do I respond to the question- Do you depend on someone for financial support?

For Question 1:
What the VO wants to know is if you have a partner/wife or children that are citizens or PR of Canada.
If none, the answer is no...your cousin is not your child/partner ( by IRCC definition)
Q2:
If your cousin/his brother is sponsoring you or footing your bill towards the travel/while you'd be with them, then it means you are dependent on him for financial support for the trip.

Please Note:
The invite letter from your cousin must show if you are sponsoring yourself or if he is sponsoring you, also
feeding, accommodation, moving around...and how you are related to him...

I read all 300+ pages and I learnt that it's better to "over submit" documents than "under submit" hence the CV and certificate inclusion.

Total no of days for Submission and visa approval is 48 days.
