mykell56:
Hello Nairalanders, I have this Growth on my right wrist and i really don't know what it is or what caused it,i woke up one morning and found the growth on my wrist.

who has an idea of what this is and How do I get rid of this it's been there for a while.
it doesn't hurt but I want to get rid of it.

You might have strained your wrist unknowingly and what you have swelling there is a fluid that is there to cushion your bones from directly grinding over each other as you carry out your daily chores. That fluid sipped out into the space between your skin and your wrist bones{wrong environment} they tend to harden and form a thick gel. Like someone said a simple surgery will remove it, I simply got a crape bandage and started strapping my wrist tightly anytime am not going out and all through the night, this procedure helped me to make it disappear. So get a crape bandage and start to strap it for days and Or kuku go hospital make dem help you remove am. I got mine from lifting weights without strapping my wrists and I could remove it by strapping my wrist with a bandage. It may not be comfortable initially but it will go. Losses up once in a while to allow blood flow to your fingers.

A friend of mine that benefited from this 2014 promotion got his letter of promotion and he is still receiving his old rank salary up till now. Some where lucky that they were paid but some are still receiving the old salary. The funny thing is that they have no one to complain to as the salary is prepared in the national headquarters as he said. A lot of corrupt practices is currently going on in NSCDC but the government is either not aware or part of the problem. Every sector seems to have its own problems.

Geedhey:
My simple Advice: Ask if the lecturer was the same who took the course in previous years, if yes... go get past questions use it as your reading guide. answer past questions in a note for all your courses then read the answers along with new things the lecturer might say. This works every time especially in Nigeria public University.

Your head dey there...... This is the most simplest way to pass exams with average good grades in most Nigerian public schools. Just take time to look for past questions form your seniors and answer them by reading from textbooks or handouts in a big notebook and continue to read that answered questions every day until exams come coupled with the normal lectures, handouts information and you are good to go. IT WORKED FOR ME FOR DURING MY NCE & DEGREE PROGRAMS.

Politics / N6billion Found In Private Account Of NSCDC Commandant General. by ZAMZINE(m): 11:03am On Jun 14, 2017
All is not well with the Commandant General of the Nigeria
Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Abdullahi
Muhammad Gana as he is currently embroiled in a N6
billion scandal which anti-graft agencies have traced to his
account in a new generation bank.
The money was said to have caught the attention of some
eagle-eyed anti-graft officials who promptly drew the
attention of the presidency to it in order to avoid the sort
of altercation between the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission EFCC and the National Intelligence Agency NIA
regarding the $43 million Osborne Towers loot.
A presidency source who said he was not authorized to
speak on the matter told our correspondent that the CG
who has few months to retire “persistently begged for
leniency saying the money was meant for the payment of
staff who were promoted since two years ago”.
He added; “The question we asked him was what the
money was doing in his private account. He didn’t have any
defence. If people were promoted about two years ago,
why did he refuse to pay them according to their new
statuses? Even if he did not want to pay them, he should
have left the money in the Corps account and not
transferring it to his private account. We questioned his
motive but he has now been directed to pay up all
outstanding increments to the affected staff”.
It was also gathered that the current financial scandal has
generated bad blood among the senior officers of the
Corps. While some of the management team are trying to
cover up the CG, others who initially against his
appointment as the agency’s boss wanted the anti graft
agencies bring the matter to the public.
Several attempt to speak with the CG or his spokesman
failed.

Politics / BAD NEWS: Oil Prices To Drop Between $5 And $15 In 2016 – IMF by ZAMZINE(m): 6:46pm On Dec 26, 2015
The days ahead may just be harder than
envisaged as the International Monetary Fund
(IMF), Thursday, said crude oil prices may slump
to as low as $20 per barrel in 2016.
Following the release of the “IMF Executive
Board Concludes 2015 Article IV Consultation
with Iran” report, the body highlighted that the
price of crude oil could drop between $5 and $15
in 2016. Following the release of the “IMF
Executive Board Concludes 2015 Article IV
Consultation with Iran” report, the body
highlighted that the price of crude oil could drop
between $5 and $15 in 2016.
According to IMF, the dwindling oil prices would
not have overtly negative effect on Iran, whose
gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to
rise four to 5.5 percent by 2017.
“Prospects for 2016/17 are brighter, owing to the
prospective lifting of economic sanctions. Higher
oil production, lower costs for trade and financial
transactions, and restored access to foreign
assets, are expected to lift real GDP to about 4–
5.5 percent next year,” IMF said.
The same cannot be said for Nigeria, whose
2016 budget is benchmarked at an oil price of
$38 per barrel for the 2016 fiscal year.
With Nigeria expected to produce 2.2 million
barrels of crude oil per day in 2016 and sell at
$38 per barrel, the country expects to generate
$83.6 million per day in 2016 – $30.514 billion in
the year 2016.
Going by IMF’s predictions at $20, Nigeria would
generate $44 million per day in 2016, amounting
to $16.060 billion in the year.
This would mean that Nigeria would get at least
47.4 percent less revenue from oil than what is
already projected, consequently adding more
pressure to the nation’s need to go borrowing in
2016.
According to President Muhammadu Buhari, oil
related revenues are expected to contribute
N820 billion to the economy, while the budget
deficit which stands at N2.22 trillion would be
funded by foreign and domestic loans.
If the N820 billion expected from oil revenues is
cut by 47.4 percent – the IMF projected decline
in oil prices – the nation’s budgetary deficit
would move N388.68 billion to N2.59 trillion.
As at November, Iran, with the world’s fourth
largest oil reserves, had 36 million barrels of oil
stored in offshore tankers for sale in 2016 – sure
to drive oversupply.
This is against the Organisation of Petroleum
Exporting Countries (OPEC) projections that the
global crude oil prices at seven-year low will not
continue to fall, as it could swing upwards soon.
The Secretary-General, OPEC, Abdullah al-Badri,
made this disclosure at the first OPEC-India
Energy dialogue in New Delhi.
It will be recalled that oil prices fell by about
two-thirds since mid-2014, with Brent crude on
Monday flirting with its lowest level since 2004
at just above $36 a barrel.
According to him, “I’ve been in the oil business
all my life. I saw six cycles – I saw very high
price, I saw low price, and this is one of them.
This will not continue.”

Crime / Black Professors Portraits At Harvard Law School Defaced By Racist(images) by ZAMZINE(m): 11:32pm On Nov 20, 2015
The hallways of Harvard Law School are lined with portraits of every tenured professor in the history of the university. As a first-year law student, the first time that I walked down those hallways I was painfully aware of the white men that take up most of the space on the walls, but also proud to see black professors hanging right beside them. The portraits make me feel a strange tension of pain yet promise. I am constantly reminded of the legacy of white supremacy that founded this school and still breathes through every classroom and lecture hall. I am also shown the small inroads that professors of color have made, breaking apart the notion that whiteness is the epitome of legal scholarship. This is how I felt yesterday walking through those hallways.
The portraits of black professors, the ones that bring me and so many other black students feelings of pride and promise, were defaced. Their faces were covered with a single piece of black tape, crossing them out of Harvard Law School’s legacy of legal scholarship. Their faces were slashed through, X-ing them out, marking them as maybe unwanted or maybe unworthy or maybe simply too antithetical to the legacy of white supremacy on which Harvard Law School has been built. Harvard Law School was, after all, founded with the money from the sale of over 100 Antiguan enslaved people (because they were not slaves but people who were brutally and inhumanely enslaved) by the Royall family. To this day, the Royall family crest is the seal for Harvard Law School, and their legacy of white supremacy drips from every corner of the campus, like the blood of the 77 enslaved people murdered after a slave revolt on the Royall plantation. The defacing of the portraits of black professors this morning is a further reminder that white supremacy built this place, is the foundation of this place, and that we never have and still do not belong here.
This morning at Harvard Law School we woke up to a hate crime. And tomorrow you will wake up to a hate crime on your campus too. And they — the cowards who deface the portraits of black professors, who hang nooses in front of black dorms, who draw swatstikas with human feces — want for that to be the end of the story. But we, black students on campus, are not afraid of what you do under the covers of darkness and hatred and cowardice. We will march and scream and sit in and walk out and shout our demands and make ourselves heard and tear down these hallways of white supremacy because we belong here too . And no longer can you make us feel that we do not belong here. Because our sweat and blood and death and courage is what really built these hallways.
This morning at Harvard Law School we woke up to a hate crime. And what we do next will shake white supremacy at Harvard Law School to its core.

Career / Meet Haben Girma, The First Deaf-blind Graduate Of Harvard Law School.(pics) by ZAMZINE(m): 12:16pm On Nov 20, 2015
Eritrean-American lawyer Haben Girma was the first deaf-blind graduate of Harvard Law School. Today she’s a lawyer at Disability Rights Advocates, a accessible technology campaigner and a keen surfer.

Honored as a White House Champion of Change , and the first Deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School, Haben Girma advocates for the civil rights of persons with disabilities. A celebrated speaker, she provided the introductory remarks for the 25th Anniversary of the ADA at the White House. Her TEDxBaltimore Talk has garnered over 43,000 views.
Haben joined Disability Rights Advocates in 2013 as a Skadden Fellow, and became a Staff Attorney in 2015. She helped achieve a legal victory in National Federation of the Blind v. Scribd, the second case to hold that the ADA applies to e-commerce. She received her J.D. in 2013 from Harvard, and her B.A., magna cum laude, in 2010 from Lewis & Clark College.
“I grew up facing access barriers as a deafblind person, and that inspired me to become a lawyer. And work to remove access barriers facing people with disabilities around the world.
Graduating from Harvard Law School says a lot about what can be done when people have the right attitude.
About 12 years ago, I attended a camp for the blind and met an amazing blind dancer. She taught me my first swing and salsa lessons.
I also do tandem surfing. Surfing feels very liberating and exciting. And I love being able to connect with people and to share tactile, kinaesthetic languages.
We should try to move towards a more inclusive world, so that it’s no longer a big deal for a deafblind person to go to law school.”

There is always numerous evidence to prove you collect money for the government, where the problem arises is whether the same money collected is properly remitted to the government cover and how it's spent. With TSA, the money you claim to have been collected for the government would have to be properly remitted nilly willy. There would be no more cool money in one strange account, unknown to the public, that the state governors and president could use at will without appropriation. Corrupt elements among the leaders would now be easy to trace. How money is spent is now going to be more open as the fingers would be pointed at the person at the helm of affairs.

Fayose only trying hard to have reasons not to implement the policy in his state for fear of being more transparent and open in spending. TSA is like opening the Yansh of government finance to the public which the corrupt leaders don't like. I hope there is a law CBN could use to force the policy on all states of federation. Corruption at all level must be reduced to the minimum.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR SAYING THE TRUTH.
