We just got to no early this year, my question is, we still av like 6months b4 PR, she's about to begin medication to reduce d viral load. When we want to do medical, will she say she's positive or will Hep B not be tested. I want us to start preparing ahead now, any suggestions pls. The tests they carry out are for : Syphilis HIV Urinalysis to test the level of protein & glucose to detect diabetes Blood pressure test for hypertension Chest Xray for tuberculosis Therefore the answer is that they don't test for hepatitis, however she should inform her doctor to avoid you both being banned for 5 years for misrepresentation. |

chigoziri7: Zandora, Please help ...God bless you Dupyshoo above has already provided important links about Quebec, in addition : 1) If your husband is the principal applicant he'll need to provide reference letters only for the skilled jobs he wishes to claim points for. These must be jobs done in the past 10 yrs and can be previous or current work. This is for FSW though, don't know what the criteria is for Quebec. 2) See Dupyshoo's links above. 3) No you don't need to get a job there first before moving. 4) Going to school in another province and applying for PR via QSW will raise a red flag and you may be refused under the QSW. This is because to apply via QSW program you must reside in Quebec or show intention to reside in Quebec such as providing a job offer from a Quebec employer. 5) If you become a permanent resident via FSW or QSW, you can reside in any province you want. There's no time limit for residing in any particular province. |

Garykasparov: Hello guys, Please i like to ask a question on PoF, if you have your cic required fund in your account as at the start of your 6months statement as opening balance, and in subsequent months there were outflows and inflow(not significant), will cic query the inflows to be proof. No, as long as the funds do not drop significantly below the required amount. |

SomebodyLovesMe: Hello sevule, apologies for 'bringing' you into this thread, but I saw a post of yours from January which I wanted to ask about but couldn't, as that thread is now closed...
I need to have an FBI report done, but I'm currently based in Nigeria. I know that I need to get my fingerprints taken here.and then sent by mail. I just wanted to find out where best to get the fingerprints taken. I am based in Lagos. Thanks.
If anyone else knows the answer to this, I'd be grateful if you could share Click on the link below and select USA. Be aware that sometimes FBI rejects fingerprints which leads to the request not being processed, therefore I'll advise you to enclose different sets of fingerprints to limit your chances of rejection. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp |

Phemmie72: Dear Seniors,
Happy Sunday to you all.
Please, I need your advice on the PNP I can or prepare to apply to with my under listed details:
1. Age: 43 years 2. ECA: Master's Degree 3. IELTS result: L - 5.5; R - 5.5; W - 6.5; S - 7.0 4. Work Experience: over 10 years in NOC 4163 (Business Development Officers and Marketing Researchers and Consultants
My Spouse:

I await your advice.
Thanks. Unfortunately neither your IELTS results nor your wife's qualifies you to apply via the Federal Skilled Workers Program. In order to qualify you need to score a minimum of 6 each band. You both need to write the exam again but this time ensure you both prepare for it. |

oluwaethan: Dear Zandora,
The Government of Quebec publishes a complete list of what they are willing to pay; my understanding is that this in turn is based upon the actual negotiated prices of the Canadian Government. I have checked the formularly for Ontario and Alberta and the quotations are similar. I am sure it will be similar for most of the other provinces. If you've checked it against the province you're going to reside and it's similar then that's okay. However it's better to explain in your letter that you've checked the prices against the province instead of against Quebec eventhough the prices may be the same in order to eliminate any confusion. |

oluwaethan: Hello JesusDWay
We got to know during the medicals as part of the PR process. I am negative. So is the baby.
The medicals have been submitted and she has been asked to come back to see a specialist. I am sure that would be for the individualized assessment. All other tests came out clean.
She has started medication and the cost of her current regimen (using approved generics) in Canada will be CAD 2700 using the Quebec formularly. The current medical threshold is 6,387 per year. Can I argue that is does not constitute excessive demand coz it is nowhere close to the official threshold? I could also self fund for five years by which time i would have found a job and include her on the company sponsored plan. I also sure that by five years time most of the other medications would have their patents expiring and that will further drive prices down. Generics already account for about 60% of all prescriptions in Canada saving the government over 7 Billion on 2010 alone.
What do you think? But why are you comparing the costs using Quebec's or did you apply under Quebec skilled workers? You should compare the price with Federal prices and then if the amount is less than the threshold allowed explain this when replying the fairness letter you'll receive. Quebec is a different constituency than Federal. |

oluwaethan: @Zandora,
Thank you. Didn't know that.
As a last resort, can I write to CIC and say that I would like to exclude/remove her from the application? Is that possible and what will the implication(s) be? I have explained time and time again that no matter what you do, as long as you're still married she'll need to provide and pass her medicals before you're admissible to Canada. The only way to exclude her from your application and she not providing her medical exams is if you guys divorce. |

oluwaethan: Dupyshoo,
I have been away to handle some jobs since submitting ourselves from the medicals.
I just got to know the worse as well.
That is why I asked about HIV too.
I really need help. If it is possible to switch my province to BC that would be great because from what I read in the article treatment is free and so CIC cannot say that treatment will be excessive demand on the medical system.
I need help. That treatment is free further justifies the fact that it would be an excess demand on the economy. Treatment being free means that the government would fund 100% of the treatment via tax payer's money. It is this kind of situation CIC tries to avoid hence why they prohibit those ailments that would constitute excessive demand on the economy. BC is therefore a bad choice. |

cutesammie: Thanks Zandora. I won't give up I have two quick questions and I will be glad if you can answer them. I am strategising of ways to rake up more scores without breaking the bank but all the means will cost me fire. Lol
Quick rewind to 2008, I served in a bank for a year but I did not include that in my EE profile because I thought NYSC might not be considered as a full-time job. Can I include that in my Application? Since I am based in Europe, I only included my 2 years European working experience. How much additional score can I have if my work experience changes from 2 to 3 years?
Furthermore, my current work experience falls under NOC 2281 but if It's possible to add my NYSC which was done in a bank, then it will fall under a completely different NOC (I was a customer service officer). Does that matter? Thanks in advance. Yes you can use your NYSC experience however unfortunately Customer Service Officer is not skilled work as it falls under NOC code 6551 which is skill level C hence you can't use this experience. |

oluwaethan: Thank you so much @Zandora and Dupyshoo.
I applied under the FSW 2014 stream and we have all gone through the medicals. And her results came out as having active TB. In order not to render both of us inadmissible, I would want to exclude her by saying she would not be accompanying and then file for her to join me once I settle there. That will be better than both of us being refused the visa after all this wahala and waiting for so long. Not to mention the amount of money spent on this.
I want to know if this is possible and what the implication(s) would be.
Good morning to you all.
Ethan. Like I've said time and time again, you can't exclude her. Medicals are compulsory for the family so if she's rendered inadmissible because of her medicals then so would you. The good news is that she hasn't been rendered inadmissible yet but has been told to undergo further examinations therefore you have no choice but to wait. |

cutesammie: I was single when I created my EE profile and I managed to rake up a little above 400 points, a score that never increase lol. Along the line, I got married and I added my spouse to my application today. Surprisingly, I watched my score shrink to a little above 370!! WTF? I guess it's because they want to force her to do both credential assessment and language test, then my score will shoot up again. I think I will visit Canada to look for job when I am really ready for this EE thingy. Noo, don't give up! Besides how are you going to find a job in Canada with a visiting visa? You can apply for a Provincial nomination as most provinces will open to new applicants from January next year. |

Thank you. Like I said, even if she isn't going to accompany you she'll still need to pass the medicals. The only option you have is to wait till she's cleared her medicals. |

oluwaethan: Hello everyone,
My name is Ethan and I have a pertinent issue and I was directed here by someone to get a solution.
I applied for Permanent Residence is Canada but the medicals show that my wife has Active TB which might render us inadmissible until it is treated by Canadian standards. And that is going to take some time. We did not plan for this. We thought we could be in Canada by year end.
I have discussed with my wife and I want to know if I can send them a mail to say that I will be emigrating alone which should allow them to proceed with the application to finalization. Once I have there, I could file for my wife to join me once she has gone through the medical procedures to have the TB treated.
Can that be done.
I need help.
Ethan Unfortunately regardless of if she's accompanying you or not she'll need to do the medical exams and if she's found inadmissible because of her medicals then it would also affect you. My advice would be that you should wait until she's been cleared of the TB. |

Demiyike: FSW 2014 is different from express entry . He was not nominated by any province. In the generic form that he filled he was asked to filled the province he wants to stay and in filled Ontario . He can decide to stay any where since he is going through the FSW route and not the PNP route which tends to restrict one. Also once h gets his COPR his destination will be written as Ontario but note that it's where he lands first that will be is Point of entry . So if he takes a flight and the flight had a stop over at Calgary, he gets down and goes through customs Calgary will be where he will get his landing details down not Ontario . Thats the beauty of FSW you can go and land anywhere except Montreal But I asked if he has received his PPR and he said no so I assumed his FSW 2014 didn't go through and now he wants to apply for express entry. I am aware that if you have PR you can live in any express. |

cutesammie: I am wondering if anyone here has managed to get a job through job bank? If you did, kindly share your experience. I think it is better to strategies on getting a job in Canada rather than expending all the energy on re-writing IELTS which already meets the basic requirement for express entry pool. Unless you already have a point close to 450, rewriting the IELTS 10 times might still not make you you score above 450. History already shows that you won't get ITA if your score is not up to 450 and above.
Job bankers in the house, kindly she your experience. Job bank is not functional yet, it doesn't work. Besides it's extremely difficult for a Canadian employer to hire internationally because they always want to see who they're hiring and don't want to go through the hassle of filing for LMIA etc. |

Yes you can change province but do know that Alberta will gain access to your file and see that you chose Ontario previously and as a result they may or may not reject you. I've seen instances where a province rejects an application because the applicant applied to a different province previously. |
