IELTS scores
Listening - 8.0
Reading - 8.0
Writing - 7.0
Speaking - 6.5

Age - 29

NOC 0711 - 10 MONTHS
NOC 2282 - 22 MONTHS
NOC 0213 - 7 MONTHS

MARITAL STATUS - SINGLE

PROOF OF FUNDS - $15,000
What about your education? Have you got a BSc or MSc? Btw you can't mix NOCs so you'll have to go with the longest of 22 months ie 2282 hence technically you only have 1 year experience. Therefore if I'm assuming you have only a year's experience and a BSc, unfortunately you won't be eligible under FSW. Try retaking ielts to increase your speaking.

Hi guys,

Please does anybody have any information on the format the letter from the Bank is supposed to be in - for Express Entry.

GTBank is saying they need me to request more than one letter for the information required by CIC.

Thank you.
I don't understand your question. Are you asking for the bank letter format requested by CIC or do you know the format but GTB won't write the letter for you in CIC'S format?

Total 100 63 Minimum Required: 67 Points

@Zandora,
Thank you for your reply. Above, is how I derived the 63 points. From your message, I noticed that my work experience is quite low (NYSC experience and periods wasted in search of a job excluded). I think I have to redress it in order for me to get additional point and then become eligible.
Thanks, anyway for your observations and suggestions.
Yes your work experience has made you score low however you can increase your points to be eligible to apply by retaking your IELTS. Your writing and listening made you loose 3 points hence if you redo the test and get a 7 in writing and an 8 in listening you'll get the maximum 24 points for 1st language. However even if you do this you'll still be short of 1 point to make 67 therefore I'll also suggest you wait till March next year so you can make 3 years and hence qualify to apply.

It's not compulsory but your wife should take the test if you need extra points as she can add up to 20 points to your total score by taking the exam.

Hey thanks zandora,
Thank you for answering my question. However according to my calculation, I have acquired 63 points out of 100 points. Therefore, I need additional 4 points to be eligible to apply for the express entry program. From your reply,it will be irrelevant for me to ask my Aunt to send me papers because I am not directly to related to her. However,is it possible I tell a good white lie that she is my mum's step sister and then look for how to back my claim? Because as it is now. I dont have any point under the adaptability criteria and the only options left for me to get this additional point and maybe exceed it is to either write a TEF test as a second language or get a job offer which these two options are quite difficult to go by judging from the time frame I have left,in the sense that, we just 4 months for this year to run out, and I may need more than that learn french coupled with hustle. I'm so dying to complete this application and face other issues in my life. So, please I need your candid opinion or suggestion about my problem from both the house and from you because, I have spent a lot of money and I don't want it to fail. Thank you.
If your aunt is currently in Canada then don't even bother telling that white lie otherwise they'll find out. This is because when applying to go to Canada you'll have to list all the names and addresses of your parents, siblings and step siblings, therefore when they check your aunt's personal history on their systems they'll see that she never declared your mum as her step sister which will spell trouble for both you and your aunt. Also as JesusDway asked, how did you arrive at 63?

I just confirmed that i wrote the IELTS on 1st of February 2014 and since you said it lasts for 2years, I think i am still covered. My concerns now are;
1) The original test report was sent to the agent who was helping with it then and i can't seem to reach him again plus i don't have any copy as to have an idea of what my then score was. Is there a way i could test another test report from BC

2) My MBA result isn't ready yet, what i can lay hold on is the "To Whom" that was issued to me.Does that suffice for ECA or i shouldn't just include it for assessment which means i will have to change my NOIC to reflect my first degree alone which i don't have any work experience in except for less than a year industrial attachment.I have over 4yrs in the financial industry and the only certificate to back that up is the MBA which isn't ready.

3)Can i go ahead with the payment for WES even when my school here is yet to finish processing my transcript talkless of sending?

@zandora kindly assist
1) why don't you just take another test after all you only have about 5 months left on your prior IELTS. You need your scanned original IELTS copy and even if you were able to receive your original old copy from BC, by the time they respond to you, you complete your ECA, you receive your ITA and are ready to apply would the report still be valid? By the way did you score maximum points in your previous IELTS? My advise would still be that you focus on taking another test to score the highest possible bands.
2) If you really want to maximise your chances of receiving your ITA then you should assess your MBA. Also you've got 4 years work experience in finance which would definitely give you more points as against the 1 year experience you intend to use. Your MBA transcript should be sent directly to WES along with the form (downloaded from the WES website to be completed by your school).
3) I don't understand what you mean by your school hasn't finished processing your transcript. If you've graduated and your transcript is available then you'll need to pay for your WES first so that you'll get your ID number that you'll need to write on the envelope of your transcript when sending it to WES.

P.S - I hope you know there is a high possibility you won't quality for FSW (ie score the minimum of 67 points) If you use your first degree (Bachelor's) and 1 year experience except you scored the highest band in your IELTS or have a relative in Canada. Also remember age is also a detrimental factor. Goodluck.

Thank you. Does it mean people who had at least 400points and selected 'all province' or 'Ontario' as their preferred destination were automatically sent an ITA by OINP?
Yes many people who created their profile after June 01st and selected Ontario and all provinces were automatically issued Ontario expression of interest email between the months of June and July.

@JesusDway and Zandora, please answer this question.
Thank you.
To be nominated by Ontario province you have to score a minimum of 400 and will automatically receive a notification of interest. So far they've stopped giving out nominations, perhaps they've reached their quota. However some people who applied for the Ontario PNP also received ITA and hence withdrew their Ontario application which means Ontario may still invite a few people in the nearer future to fill up their quota but chances of receiving an invitation now are very very slim.

Hello,
I am 27 years with a Bachelor's degree. I have my IELTS exam and ECA report. However, I am confused about this proof of relative. Reason is because, I have an Aunt (My mum's cousin) she want to send me some papers under the proof of relative. I want to ask the house if I am eligible to present her as my relative in Canada.
It has to be a direct relative so that when you provide your birth certificate the surname of your parents or maiden name of your mum would be the same as that of the relative you're claiming points for. Therefore it should be your parent's siblings.

You may also have a Window of opportunity with Quebec, I think it's starting on October 1st and it's on First in First out basis so for you and anyone who may be interested see the link below and try and gather your docs together for the day. Although French Test is not a criteria but it is assigned significant marks that can boost your points and, it's officially a French Speaking Province so, you might need it to be able to conduct your everyday business

You seem to be on the right track. Check whether your work experience falls under NOC skill category A, B or O via the link below and if so assess your Bachelor's degree via WES (it's the fastest) and study hard for your IELTS. Goodluck!

How many years did your education come up to? Was it up to 17 years? Yes, Principal Applicant (PA)=17, Me=20
How old is the principal applicant? 32
Did you mean 4 years Bachelor's degree? Yes
What is your IELTS individual band score? PA:Listening-6.5, Reading-7, Writing-7, Speaking-7.5. Overall score-7 Me: Listening-8, Reading-8, Writing-7, Speaking-6.5. Overall score-7.5)
How many years experience do you have and from which NOC? PA=6 NOC 1111, Me=0122
Finally were you able to get through the Come to Canada tool and receive a code? Yes
Your info is on point therefore the only reason I can give is that you are not filling something accurately. Ensure that you select NO for if your Bsc was completed in Canada and YES for if an ECA was obtained. Also select YES for 1st language english and NO for no 2nd language. Did you provide your ECA and IELTS reference number?

Evening great nairalanders,
I once applied for FSWP 2013 through and agent whom i submitted my IELTS result,all my credentials for evaluation and all that to,paid him as well but nothing came out of it. I intend processing the EE my self now but need some clarifications;
1) I studied chem. Engr as my first degree and have gotten an MBA now,how do i chose an occupation in the NOIC list as i do not have any work experience in my first degree of study but have over 5yrs experience in the financial industry.
2) how do i get my IELTS result from BC again as i can't contact the agent i gave the first one to in 2013.
3) can i get a step by step approach on the EE as for to know what to do next at the right time.
4) I am now married, does my wife have to write the IELTS too as i will now be including her in my application.
I'd really appreciate anyone's response on this.
1) choose an occupation that best suits your work experience. You won't be needing your first degree as you now have an MBA so your MBA should now be assessed.
2) Forget about that IELTS as IELTS is only valid for 2 years. As 2015 is already almost up you'll need to take another test.
3) Go back a few pages and check previous posts. It has been written on this forum about a million times.
4) Yes she would if you want to boost your score as she could add up to 20 points to the CRS score.

@Bahaushiya...I am also interested just as you. But house please, does it mean that you do not have any chance if
1) You do not have any relative in Canada
2) You do not get a job offer.

I understand these two gives very high points.

Please help help us...
Wrong. I had neither of these but was still able to apply.

Firstly having a relative in Canada would only give you points towards the 67 points needed to qualify via the FSW route, it won't add to your EE score. The best and easiest way is to ace your IELTS exam. However if you're above 34 years of age with a Bachelor's degree as your highest qualification then you may find it necessary to apply for a PNP to boost your EE score.

Please my husband and I are interested in applying, we contacted an expert and the charge is much. A friend applied to another country and with the help of people in this section they were guided on how to go about the application and it was a success.
The person we contacted said he has never failed anyone since he started, and that he will give us proper formats for the application and all, but the money is a lot.
Please if anyone here can help us with guidance for the express entry application I'd really appreciate it.

In my opinion it's better to do everything yourself except you're very rich and you've got money to burn. Besides it's highly unlikely that the expert has never failed anyone because this EE is a new system and as such very few people have received PPR via this system so far. I'll suggest you go back a few pages on this forum as people have posted the step by step process quite a number of times. You can also go through this link as a guide.

This is a little disturbing. My MSc in Unilag ran for about 2 years and the pre-evaluation i did on their website equated it to an MSc in Canada.

Has any one who obtained a Unilag MSc been evaluated as having a qualification less than a Canadian MSc?

Now, my first degree was in U.I. and getting there is an issue right now.. I left there more than 7 years ago, my links may not be as strong.

Is there anyone who already evaluated a Unilag PG degree alone and had it equated to a Canadian MSc in the house?
Okay then. If the free assessment tool evaluated your Master's as equivalent to that of a Canadian Master's then you're good to go with only that one. Good luck!

I actually intend to expunge my First degree since Unilag already sent my Masters document.
Don't expunge your first degree because since you did your Master's in Unilag there's no guarantee that it would be assessed as a Canadian Master's. Evaluate both Bachelor's and Master's.

Is it possible to edit the number of qualifications that one intends to evaluate after one has made payments? For instance, if i already paid for my First degree alone to be evaluated, can i add my Masters degree for evaluation?
You can edit it and add your Master's degree as long as they haven't finished evaluating your first degree.

@ zandora, thanks for the response. I apprreciate. i did the WES assessment and it says it is equivalent to a 4 year Bachelor's degree, I am 31 and the principal applicant with an 8 months old babe.

What next please?
That's good. Next register for IELTS and please read for it, don't be fooled into thinking it's just english and hence you can wing it. To guarantee yourself being selected for an ITA and avoid all the unnecessary hassle of trying to obtain a PNP or LMIA, try to score above 7 in writing, reading and speaking and above 8 in your listening.

You mentioned that only you and your 8 months old baby would be going, what about the father if you don't mind me asking? This is because he'll still need to provide some documents depending on what the relationship between the two of you is, regardless of if he's going with you or not.

Based on the information you've provided you're qualified for the FSW. Next I would do exactly what Superchi above said. When completing the education history the principal applicant should list all secondary and post secondary education selecting No for ECA for the ones which he/she doesn't have an ECA for and Yes for ECA obtained for the Bachelor's degree.

I finally entered the pool only to get the feedback that me and my wife are "not eligible"

The final scores of our IELTS was 7.5 and 7 respectively and our ICAS report showed that our degrees are equivalent to 4-year degree programmes in Canada.

Also, we indicated that we had set aside 22,000 CAD as our "proof of funds"

What might be responsible for this? What options are available?
Firstly you'll need to score a minimum of 67 points to qualify under FSW. We can't tell what went wrong except you break down your profile for us. What's the age of the principal applicant, their individual IELTS score band, was the ICAS assessed as a 4 year Bachelor's degree program? What's your job NOC and do you have any relative in Canada?
