When a marriage becomes violent and diabolical, no matter the tradition, the best advice for me is for that person to move out. Bad marriages kills a woman physically, spiritually and emotionally. Do you know how many women have died because they are afraid to be called a divorcee... God forbid.. Watch women in bad marriages, they age before their time. Most of them have all manner of illness associated with stress,depression scares from constant beating. The man does everything within his reach to silence your life. You are in affluence yet lives in poverty. OMG...You can't association, you can't further your education, you dare not seek employment. I know because my mums elder sister was there. Some of them raise children who lack love and trust. A friend told me last year about her friend who got married to the most violent man on earth. The lady is well educated, has financial independence, children to crown her life. She was ashamed of being called a divorcee. She is always covering up for the man. In her words, ""what will people say""" last month she received a massage that the lady died of heart attack. What a life. Those she was afraid of what they will say, are they quite now??. who lost. The man must definitely marry another woman. My mothers elder sister was a victim of bad marriage. I heard she practically made the man. When things became better for the man, he married a second wife. Within a short period the wonderful woman died of heart complication leaving behind 2 sweet boys. I still miss that woman. She would have been alive today if not for bad marriage. Because of this incidence, My family does not give a second thought about moving out of a violet, abusive and diabolical marriage.

Sometime in this thread, I can't remember exactly when, someone complained about an abusive marriage, the feed back I read marveled me. Someone even gave a personal experience of her mum who got married after she left her ex husband to the most amazing, loving, caring man (her father). While in her previous, marriage for years, she was childless, moneyless, good healthless, loveless, voiceless, but with her father, she has almost everything life can give. children, love, care etc.

Do you know some women who died barren are not actually barren but rather are victim of bad marriages. The man is infertile but would refuse to get medical attention. He and his family would mock and beat the woman up, she will not not leave because of what people would say. Stress, thinking etc will kill her. After her death, the man will marry a lady who will get pregnant from other men and bring home.


I love and respect the institution of marriages so much. Its a wonderful thing to be married "to the right man" I love my husband so much. He means more than words to me, I put all in my marriage. I would never wish for another man but..... My life and good health is more important to me than all these things.

I pray non of us here experience bad marriage IJN. Is there anyone here who is going through a turbulent marriage, May the Almighty God speak peace in your marriage. We will NEVER plant for another woman to eat. We will never build for another woman to inhabit IJN... Soon, Very Soon, this ttc will pass away IJN.

My people my people. safe06. welcome back. my people abeg make una help a sister. Depression don hold person. I dey suspect say dh don get another family which he is hiding from me. The way he Shields his friends/family from me these days is suspicious. He broke my phone intentionally and acted as if it was a joke. that same day, he bought a new phone and sim card for me. It seems to me he deleted all his friends and siblings number whom I am close with from my phone because I can't find them. His actions these days speaks volume. He pretends network is bad most times and go outside to answer phones. Those secondary school boys prank is now in my home. Picks offense at the slightest provocation. Complains of things which he ordinarily commends me of.

Hian God abeg, I no get strength to fight with another woman in my marriage. I dey fast and pray for children, How I wan add fasting and praying for strange woman. Someone told me sometime he suspects my husband movement with their first daughter, I asked him, he swore it was a lie. I don put nose for ground to no avail. I don suffer for this marriage financially and emotionally no be small. What if my suspicion is true, where do I start?. I wish I know the truth. I would rather leave the marriage than struggle with another woman. Who knows why God has shout this womb all these while. I am honestly emotionally stressed.

The worst aspect of this matter is that dh stays in another state while I stay in another state because of job. I tried being posted to his location but was disappointed when he got posted out in few months interval.

There is this president I know who does not use deputy or assistant to carry out his assignments. His name is JESUS. Yes you would have tried him severally and it seems he is too far or not listening, try him again and again. He is too faithful to fail. I have seen it all, the good, the bad and the ugly from dh, parents in-law, sisters/brothers in-law, friends and relatives but I have NEVER had a second thought on 'IF" I will give birth or not. Oh yes, I MUST give birth someday.You too will give birth. I read that so many people here have done IVF several times and it failed and later conceived naturally without stress. That is what only God can do. Put yourself together. Give faith a trial, don't give room to fear and anxiety. I know a woman who borrowed money from her operative for ivf, and it worked for her on first trial. God sees our heart, He knows us better than we know ourselves. If you want to borrow money for this ivf, I encourage you to do so but my dear, you must wear your solid cap of faith, no iota of doubt should be seen. Most times God expect us to take the bull by the horn. I see you coming out victorious. I see God giving you a miracle that will shock even you IJN. amen
