decreamaster: so what will happen after going straight to the cc sch?
pls explain
once you get to the CC, they will ask you to call the school on your visa and the school will transfer your sevis record to your CC. That's all
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by zeezahbee(f): 12:20pm On Aug 24, 2014
bigfrancis21: Yes, so far as the expiry date of the passport is at least 6 months ahead of the month the visa is going to be issued. That is, there must be at least a 6-month gap between the passport's expiry date and the month your visa is expected to be granted. If, say, your passport expires in december and you are going for your interview in may(7 months apart), that will not hinder your visa process if granted, but if your passport expires in december and you are going for your interview in august(4 months apart), there will likely be a problem.

In that case if your passport is not at least 6 month old from your intended visa interview month, you would need to renew your passport. This will also save you the stress and cost of travelling all the way to Washington DC to renew it here in the US especially if your school is far from DC given that the Nigerian embassy is located only in Washington DC.
is Washington the only place on ecan find a Nigeria embassy?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by zeezahbee(f): 12:17pm On Aug 24, 2014
juntod: Go straight to the ISSO of the school on your visa. Make sure you are with the I-20 of the CC. Show it to them and tell them you are transferring your SEVIS info to the CC. They have no reason not to oblige. Make sure you go before resumption date of both schools.
WRONG, he shouldn't go to the school on his visa, NEVER, once he reports to the school on his visa, it means he will be checked in and the one semester rule before transferring will happen, the school might terminate his sevis if he says anything about transferring asap. have always said it here, GO TO THE CC STRAIGHT not the school on your visa, OR ELSE YOU GONNA GET STRUCK

glomona09: good morning to every one in the house and happy sunday! im a fresh graduate from a state university and am planning to do my masters in the US, my question is that is nysc one of the criteria for doing masters? im planning of doing the nysc as soon as am done with my masters...... to pple in the house i need an urgent replys thanks..... one love!!
NYSC aint a criteria for admission, its your decision, you can do it before you leave Nigeria or you can go back for it after your masters, different strokes for different people, some people didn't do NYSC at all. if you see yourself becoming a politician in future or you wanna work in a government parastatal then do your nysc before going anywhere

I do walk for about 15mins daily, i am 5feet10 and weigh about 90kg. What else would i need to do to ensure my bp is totally normal?

queenet246: Please pharm in the house or OP rather, I ran some tests and the drugs they are giving me are way too costly, I would need ur help as in to advice me on the Nigerian medicines that are equivalent to d ones they prescribed. Its all this there foreign meds. Thanks as I await ur response.
kindly list the names of the drugs so we know which is which. if you got the prescription from a foreign country and the names sound absurd to you. it will have a name in Nigeria.

hi, queenet. I didn't succumb but anytime I post anything I get a BAN for days and the BAN wont just be on the health thread but I will be BAN from posting in other thread. I am useful to people on the US student thread and to avoid getting a ban on the health thread, I decided to stop quoting or replying posts here. I pray they don't take this down grin

TeamclicksAir: for pregnant women BA is better for others Qatar is cool...i fly them always
yeah, different strokes for different people. I flew Qatar once and it was nice tho I wasn't preggy. the thing is check your pocket well, even with BA, its still a long flight to usa because its around 10hrs

twizzie: @dserious, please be serious o!!! Lol at rhymes!!! 37 weeks? odikwa risky abeg!! Have you read ibtisam's post? She is currently in Phoenix and she has told everyone not to fly after 34 weeks!!
@zeezabhee, ehen, guru on top student visa thread! a jew here!! hehehehe..I been don dey admire say dis babe sabi o.. me sef sabi pass you on top this matter..hehehehe...Anyways, Oawale has answered you well. Note though that you will only get an appointment with financials. No doctors appointment till you come in person and pay..(They used to give doc's appt before but this is the latest trend). You could try calling them from there maybe they'd give a better response. They will ask her for a time frame for her appt, so her response and their availability of free slots will determine the time..And yes, she should be able to use that for her visa appt, it's better you start early..Make sure she has the accomodation sorted out, a budget(spread sheet) of all expenses to be incurred and correspondences with the hospital. Also, tell her to read this thread from beginning to the end. It will help her.

@freshface, d neferitiam's accommodation is furnished, but you have to come along with your bed covers and cooking utensils.. Checked the place out though and the total for 28 days as from October is $1480, so I really don't see much difference..But if you consider the the free meals, e make sense..

@tokyobulls, Please let her hold some cash..It isn't advisable to get to POE without any cash..Someone has been allowed in on this thread with $1500 while another was sent back even though she had paid half of her hospital bills and still had about $4000(I think) with her; also on this thread.. She is an adult na..she should take at least 7k on her and keep the rest in her cards..Make she no fly Arik sha cos I heard them they pilfer no be small..

MIHS bound moms seems to be increasing by the day! But I think it will be advisable not travel in a pack so as not to attract un-necessary attention to oneself. Imagine having three big belles together..lol...
you are so funny, I always read this thread but I no too put my mind because I never plan to get belle, there a saying that you can never know it all. anyways have called them and gave them her email and DOB but they haven't anything o. I will keep calling them. but I got a question, can we use another hospital to get the visa and she will go to MIHS later. can gwinett or doctoresaperati give us the appointment confirmation?
