binaflexia: You will see a lot of offers soon. Without reasonable Qt3 result, no news can significantly push Oando Those offers may not come today unless a new altercation breaks out at Algiers. The pessimists' offers were rushed out in early trading and taken up. Further offers will remain on the sideline waiting for the final outcome of Algiers meeting. When I heard that Saudi had softened their stance towards Iran, I funded my account overnight thro laptop banking, and got in a few more units this morning at 5.04. Debts and bad results not withstanding, oando sits on a large chunk of the nations oil reserve. |

PETERiCHY: The broad effects of low oil prices and production disruptions, which have resulted in a significant reduction of foreign exchange earnings, have raised concerns about some banks’ ability to honour their Eurobond obligations upon maturity. Some of the offshore funds that were raised by the banks to expand operations and finance foreign currency infrastructure projects would mature between 2017 and 2021. For instance, Access Bank will have to raise $350 million for its maturing Eurobond due in July 2017; Fidelity Bank’s $300 million Eurobond would be due by May 2018; Guaranty Trust Bank’s $400 million will be due in May 2018; Zenith Bank has an outstanding debt obligation of $500 million; Diamond Bank also has a $200 million Eurobond; while First Bank of Nigeria Ltd has two Eurobonds – $300 million and $400 million – maturing in 2020 and 2021. All the Eurobonds issued by the banks with different coupon rates that must be paid annually before maturity, are also callable before maturity.

OBAGADAFFI: @ZENDI
HOPE YOU TOOK PROFITS FROM OANDO YESTERDAY Honest, i didn't....was not smart like locodemy. And now the picture is not looking too good. Anyway, still hoping that Iran and Saudi can put aside their ancient sectarian rivalry to allow a last minute deal in Algeria to prop up oil price. |

Anybody with liver for oando should look hard now that 'long throat' profit takers are shaking it because of the 6.00 mark. The outcome of next week's Algeria meeting could set energy stocks around the world on fire.
Again, buyer beware ooo............caveat emptor !!! |

OBAGADAFFI: Oga false hope is delusion .
The profits coming to CONOIL and other Oil marketers today, are majorly from Oil marketing business within the country.
Like i said earlier Oando most do something about their debt profile, before they can restore confidence . Higher crude prices will help in this regard if a deal can be reached at the Algeria meeting. So hope arising therefrom is not false hope. |

My Brother some people just like hoping against hope It has also been said that when there is life there is hope. Take away hope and somebody may die b4 his miracle reaches him. And for the sake of the Nigerian economy, there are sounds of hope coming out of the crude oil producers' camp, ahead of next week's Algeria meeting. Even the spoiler Iran has signaled interest in an output freeze/cap/cut deal to stabilize price. The oando bus engine is already revving in anticipation of good news. Buyer beware. |

locodemy: E....yaaaa!.......oga na people's stock you dey butcher like meat o.........your idea is not bad.....me too dey wait at a good junction.
but this fbn self........you don killed plenty people due to price crash.........i remember one landlady in lagos who sold one of her houses to buy fbn public offering at #33.00 in 2007 but died of heart attack in 2008 as a result of economic meltdown which led to stock crashes. Sorry, that madam couldn't take it, and keeled over, but, at least, she invested in a real bank. Many people sold houses, shut down businesses, and invested in wonder banks that, you trust, crashed. And they still live to tell the story. Zendi lost life savings to 'Planwell' wonder bank, serving in a Fed Govt Dept in Benin City in those days. You see, it is just COURAGE that gives life a meaning. And one major plank of courage is the ability to forgive your own mistakes and go on living and striving. 'Life Goes On' is one of my favourite thoughts in any situation. In fact, I'm almost tempted to blame some dead for letting themselves go so cheaply, seeing how people hustle for food and drink, instead of weeping, at their funerals. May God have mercy on me. |

Willie2015: Most of the Banking stocks will go down after the euphoria of interim dividend, it is natural as there is no news to drive prices up. Most of them will hit their year low btwn (Sept - to 1st Week of Jan), my watch start from now;
GTB -13.80 Zenith - 9.50 Access - 3.80 So you believe whatever forces carrying GTB up now despite prevailing market apathy will suddenly let it drop to this your ridiculous price, and remember Q3 earning season is a few weeks away. |

godlyguy: Waiting for ZENITH @the usual bus/stop... This Zenith has joined the billionaires' stock list!
THE BIG SMART GUY Which bus stop again, for Zenith? You better start loading it now. If this GTB bubble sustains, I don't think Zenith has any choice but to start heading north soon, to start narrowing this stubbornly widening gap between the two banks. And if that happens, should Access not follow too? This could even trigger some moderate bandwagon upwards correction among the banks. All of which are partly the wishful thinking product of my speculator's imagination. But what exactly is pushing GTB ? |
