fxuser: bearish posture in play #caution Skye Scare Syndrom is affecting the banks. With their huge oil and power sector loans gone bad, nobody is sure which ones are headed the way of Skye. Golden opportunity though, to amass the ones you're sure will survive, and wait for the news of foreign investors invasion to hit the market. Oando could be upbeat today, somewhat, my only reason being that fickle crude oil is looking up. |

1.Transcorp 90 kobo 2. Nestle ₦650 3. FBNH ₦3 4. Oando ₦4.90/₦5 5. Dangote sugar ₦6 6. Dangote flour ₦3.80 7. Zenith ₦14 8. UBA ₦4 9. Eterna ₦ 1.90 10. CCNN ₦6 11. Diamond bank #1 12. Afriprudent ₦2 13. UBA Cap ₦2 14. Access ₦4.80 What do you mean 'if you meet' ? Most of them are already almost there. Fbnh and Diamond will be available below these prices by next weekend. Double chai, one GTB has become equal to 25 Diamond Banks. I will not buy because a bus that has barrelled down to Benin City might still be eyeing Onitsha. Hands get lacerated by trying to catch falling knives. |

Oando ₦4.90/₦5 (close to my junction) 5. Dangote sugar ₦6 6. Dangote flour ₦3.80 7. Zenith ₦14 8. UBA ₦4 9. Eterna ₦ 1.90 10. CCNN ₦6 11. Diamond bank #1 12. Afriprudent ₦2 13. UBA Cap ₦2 14. Access ₦4.80 15. Fidelity price seems ok (but did bank has problem) first come, first serve. I recall a forumite once cursed that fbnh would be available at under 3 or something. That time he narrowly escaped e-lynching, but right now, very sadly, his vindication is around the corner. Which brings pythondjango to mind. Some of his grave robber's prices are manifesting. I hope its well with him. |

I hope nobody is trapped there because SEPLAT is going to keep digging until Forcados line returns to service ... Which I don't think is anytime soon. Enjoy the unhindered southward ride! mega... una don chop seplat jijo loot tey tey clean mouth. the opportunity go come again one day. |

Locodemy, God loves you, as He loves those praying oando down. I would assume therefore He will be neutral on this. duni04: Increase your holdings as the price dips. There's a strong possibility it'll do another 100% between now and next year. Leave those speculators eating 10%, 20% JIJO crumbs. With enough foresight, a smart investor can make more money in a single intelligent trade in one year than those that jump in and out of stocks, and sometimes (most times) get trapped. Duni04 you harsh with jijoists o. How brokers go chop now if we no engage in buzi-bodi trading? Plus we often dribble ourselves by exiting a bus just when its about to enter the express way. It's just that jijo is addicting in the itrading age. We're making money this year. |

ExLaidback: Bros no vex o, you know say I be novice but the figure I have for Q1 2016 is c.N20B. Also the guy whose statement I quoted said PAT not PBT. Maybe we need more clarification on the results. I stand corrected but if with all the economic recession and headwinds the banks are currently facing, a bank like FBNH - that some people were even thinking will not make it after a disastrous FY 2015 - is posting N32B PAT, then except the poster made some mistake, that comes across as very good.
So with a Q1 of N20B, I can understand why a H1 (not Q2 mind you) of N32B would be a disappointment. But if its a Q2 (not H1 mind you) of N32B, then that is definitely a good result.
Anyway can you kindly recheck the figure you quoted for Q1 2016, I may have been wrong. H1 or First Half Result is the same as Q2 Result Result because the accounts are added up or updated every quarter. It's up to you to start separating the numbers. If it reports 32b in H1 it means it made only 12b in Q2, against 20b in Q1 which is QnQ PAT 'Drop' or 'Decline'. Oga Market does not know Good and Bad Result, when it comes to short term pricing. He leaves the judgement about Good and Bad, like beauty, in the eye of the beholder. He is on the look out for Growth or Decline Results, to reward or punish accordingly, at least in the acute short term. |

locodemy: is this irony or what?Titikpa rachaa unu niile anya Loco, you're my man, you know. The post you're referring to is intended as high humour, with some mild acidity. It is a token reaction to the increasing acidity of your own responses on oando matters, of late. You have invoked poverty upon a forumite for merely expressing his desired oando entry point. You have uttered unprintables in vernacular against bnsiTL for mere teeth flashing; teeth flashing which is one of the tools by which we inject some fun here, into the grim business of money making. Be assured that oando will surely make km-10 and and beyond. Equally, folks wishing it down to various southish entry junctions deserve also to have their own desires considered. But the timing for all these manifestations is known only to God, who is loving and almighty to grant everybody's request. Pls cut out now, for instance, those Igbo curses, which no doubt is offensive to up to half of the regulars here, in my estimation, who understand that language. One love. |
