Akachai2030:You can only get a midrange device at this price point. Not an upper-midrange just midrange. These are the options I think you will enjoy most. redmi note 8 pro. or wait for the redmi note pro. |
Akachai2030:What's your financial limit? |
zekepio:Redmi has become an independent brand which is now India based, redmi phones will be cheaper in India than anywhere else. The base version of redmi note 9 pro is sold for 63k+naira in India when you convert from rupees to naira. I am optimistic the 6/128 variant of the redmi note 9 pro wouldn't be more than 78k in naira.
|
drjprince:You allowed them trick you. Educate not expose sir. Lets continue to educate and enlighten. Someone brought an itel A55 to me few days ago, the cameras both front and back no dey work again. He was so bitter and heart broken I wanted to creat a thread here and rant, but I didn't. I advised him to never spend a dime on anything transision. I didn't need to stress, he agreed without a fuss. |
zekepio:Not available yet in Nigeria. Still on flashsale period in India, will be available for purchase again on 24th March in India after being on sale before on the 18th. expect it to be available in Nigeria from April. |
Helio p22 ![]() |
jesse8048:No, p2020 |
sylvoclair1990:It will be available in Nigeria from April. This is not an official statement. |
First to... |
pat077:Hopefully that is not the case though it's looking more like it. Seems redmi going to India took off some models from the redmi table. Models like redmi 9 and redmi note 9. There are still rumours of the redmi note 9 coming with mtk helio chipset... |
Ofemmanu1:Steady your roll for the coming k30 pro. |
Trex4:He is a xiaomi lover, his team is doing badly against weaker oppositions in ps3 soccer and finally, he is struggling with forex trade. Seeing nobody cares about his current state, he choose to mention all these in a thread where they are completely irrelevant. |
seanwilliam:I am 100% sure ir blaster wasn't made for an adult like you, just as remotes for appliances wasn't made for adults like you. |
tidalstorm:Galaxy A2 core has 4G for 20k. I am sure, no one will apend 18k on a 3G device when an extra 2k can get you a device with 4G. |
henrygold100:I have the tecno kaios t901 for sale, 8.5k... |
awoo47:Which infinix are you using please? |
nani667:If the secrete chat being whispered comes to light. Expect that to happen, seeing the redmi note 9 will come powered by mtk helio g80 not the g80T though. |
EmpireRaMses01:I will assume this is just an overnight or personally crafted deduction to suit your interest. For this observations course, I will reaffirm to you that, this is not the redmi 9a, but still the redmi 8a, but this time its called the redmi 8a[dual]. It's a rebranded version of the redmi 8a, with just fewer difference like 13mp main camera instead of the 12mp on the former 8a and an extra camera lens. Plus a new back design. With the launch of this, it seems the redmi 9a won't be launching soon. |
innobarca:Yes, I would have gone to these sites for information if the device was a personal recommendation. Why go to foreigners for information that I can get from you firsthand? In that cpu-z screen, swipe to the device option or better still. Use antutu to reveal the phone sensors. |
innobarca:Can you provide certain details of the phone by using antutu to reveal the phone details including supported sensors and actual configuration of the phone's hardware? So I have a broader idea of what I will be advising someone to get. |
Jidibia:Very valid points sir. But you will be amazed at how low and affordable xiaomi can price their devices. Please do note that redmi is now a brand on its own, so expect a shocking pricing of the incoming redmi devices including the k30 pro. What should worry you is this, how quickly the redmi 9a will launch in Nigeria seeing that redmi is now a brand on its own and its now situated in India. |
innobarca:Please give me a link to get this asus phone you are talking about. So I can use for myself. |
drjprince:Chai... I died.. "extended and nuclear family" of disfunctions department of mtk chip industry. |
innobarca:I never said fingerprint reader isn't, kindly read my statement again. I told someone I can't use a main device without ir blaster. Ir blaster is important, but not to everyone. Y9s and redmi k30 4G are examples of devices that has their fingerprint reader on the side. They aren't 50k or less. |
innobarca:Any potential smartphone buyer who doesn't care about the chipset powering the proposed device being sort for, does this as a result of ignorance. Your point can't be justified because people are ignorant. Except you are asking me to accept ignorance as the norm. Educate anyone on the functions and importance of a chipset in a smartphone device and they stop being ignorant. There were thousands of smartphone users here whom didn't pay attention to the chipset department of their smartphones few years ago. But thanks to discussions like this, they have gradually got acquainted with the knowledge that revolves around the chipset technology and how necessary it is to a smartphone's function. To vividly establish that it's ignorance for any smartphone user to not pay attention to the chipset of a device. You can have over exposed 40mp camera lens, 10000mah battery, QHD screen, super amoled display...if the device is powered by a mediocre chipset those features are nothing but theory. For your second assumption, please check the redmi note 8, note 7. Your descriptive needs was fulfilled. Flagship smartphones started to exist before the year 2018, why do you want a Flagship device with 2000mah battery in 2018? This is like asking me to mention a Flagship device in 1999 with snapdragon 665. Which further portrays my point. Irrespective of the year, a flagship device is categorised by the chipset powering the activities of the device. |
newinventions:Fingerprint reader is only relevant to a set of people and depending on your line of interest. I like my device to have under-display fingerprint reader or don't have a fingerprint at all. In fact, the major security of a device still rely on the old pin, passcode and pattern. Fingerprint is as relevant as an ir-blaster, its just for the extra. Nothing beats a device with a clean backpanel. Trust me on this. Having a cutout for Fingerprint at the back of a device to me, just makes the device looks ancient and low-classed. |
innobarca:Let me attempt to broaden your understanding concerning mobile technology and smartphone advancement. A smartphone is all about the chip. The major aspect of a smartphone device that makes it a flagship, midrange or lowend is the chipset. A device can have an hd resolution, 3000mah battery and still be regarded as a flagship if it possess a highend chipset. The chipset of a smartphone is so major that a device with 2000mah battery and 5inch screen can last longer during use when compared to another device with 3500mah battery with the same screen size. In fact, a device with a good chipset can turn every ordinary aspect of the same device into extraordinary. Take for instance this realme c3. Due to the chipset present in the device and how capable the chipset is being propagated to perform, the device already has numerous buyers listed and ready to pounce. Less than 14hours of launch, major YouTubers in Indian already has videos up and running, trying to give potential buyers a feel of the new mtk lowend chipset. I never really preferred any of the mtk chips ranging from a22, p22, p35 to the snapdragon 439. But this G70 in realme c3, has me imagining how snapdragon is going to reply to this. I do share some of your assumptions though, as regards to certain features this device lacks. I did expect it to come with a usb type c port. But other than this, realme should expect me to send buyers their way this year, pending redmi's 9a launch. At 35k, this is already looking like a better bargain compared to the redmi 8a, if you can ignore the need for an ir-blaster and sec-mic. Lets take a look at what a buyer of the realme c3 will be getting specs wise. A midrange chipset in a lowend bugdet device. 6.5inch hd screen. 5000mah battery fuelling a device powered by a chipset made with a 12nm process. If this isn't worth paying upto 40k for what is? |
Playermayweda:If the eventuality is proportionate by "x" which represents mtk helio a22, and the expectancy of their proposed buyers are represented by "y" which stands for mediocrity. Calculus or octopus answer is= xy ![]() |
kingxsamz:Actually, in his own situation. His rest has been cased. |
No doubt when this term Technological innovation is mentioned, neither Infinix nor tecno comes to mind, and this is due to two major reasons. 1 When it comes to innovation; infinix and tecno would rather make a device that is both fragile on the outside and profit driven in the inside. That is to say, so long the hardware can run android os, it's worth selling as smartphone. 1 Just like glo{whose service continues to be a shameful attempt at network service provision}, transission holdings prefers to invest heavily on marketing stragies rather than the product being marketed. These two reasons have personally saw me distant myself from the transission brothers for better value for money products. Infact, my last tecno smartphone device was tecno R7 and tecno D8 tab, for infinix it was the hot note pro and no more. I would reluctantly advise potential buyers to go for tecno or infinix device due to lack of options 5years ago. These days, if you create an avenue to purchase an infinix or tecno product around me, I will without excuse forcefully sway you to a different path or better, strongly advise you to give that money as arms to the needy, I am without a doubt, you will find fulfilment in such benevolence as against the purchasing of anything transission. Tecno's feature phone lineup still looks good though, check my previous thread if you are interested in getting the most affordable MiFi mimicker from tecno, that I have on sale. But that is not the major reason for this topic. Tecno personally brought android to a lot of Nigerians, including me. And yet again, tecno and Infinix are set to become another foundation to MTK chipmaker coming back into the smartphone industry. How so? Pay attention, no smartphone maker is confident enough to push out a poo excuse for a device, term it a flagship killer, slap an mtk lowend chipset in it, then price the same product unreasonable high, so high its impossible to compare it to devices in that price range due to lack of features or quality to justify its price point. But tecno and Infinix have done these, year in year out, even going as far as terming a device powered by helio p35 as a flagship device and selling such offense for a smartphone for over 70,000 naira a feat not even xiaomi or Huawei can succeed with. Tecno and Infinix have constantly patronised mtk chipset, precisely: mtk lowend chip market ranging from helio a22 to p22 for more than 4 different models of their product lineups in the past year, an endeavour that has helped MTK grow her income base to support the manufacturing of midrange chipsets {mtk helio G90T} that actually competes with the chip-industry top earners like SNAPDRAGON. This year, mtk has already made public announcements of two 5G enabled and ready to use chipsets. Just recently, a lowend companion to the mtk G90T was introduced, the mtk G70T. Though I am 94% sure, no tecno or infinix device would be using any of the mtk G series, even if MTK were to make an mtk G10, but tecno and Infinix should be recognised for their ability to produce mediocre devices and sell to the general public and still make tons of profit from the ignorance of the purchasers, and at such, make good returns to their major chip suppler in the name of MEDIATEK [MTK]. Anyway. If you are interested in getting a lowend device with the newly launched MTK helio G70, check out the realme c3. Thanks for reading... |
