KarlWhyte:Are you really using the infinix s4? If yes, post the about phone screenshot. I want your help on clarifying a matter on the infinix s4, but I want to be sure you are using the infinix s4. |

OVA200:I do agree, it's easier to make better choice when going for a smartphone if you watch reviews and comparison videos from foreign YouTubers. I don't follow any Nigerian YouTuber, for this exact reason they are flawed, biased and sentimental in every of their approach instead of giving you an insight to a proposed device, they are actual the snare that leads you to regret. I watched a video review from of a Nigerian YouTuber concerning the tecno t901 kaios device, not once did he mention the endless lag, the torture you go through trying to make a call or dial a number with the device. Now I am buying the redmi 8a for my mum because of the painful experience she is having with the tecno t901 and I will clearly state that, I had my doubts about the phone seeing it was coming from tecno. Instead of finding a sincere review from a Nigerian, I was mislead and now am already 8.5k short, and planing for a new device that I shouldn't have which will cost over 35k. I watched a review from an Indian YouTuber concerning the redmi 8. And without sentiments he clarely stated why getting the realme 5/5s is at least 50% a more better buy than redmi 8. I am now considering the realme 5s as a much better alternative to the redmi 8. But you won't find this kind of insight from any Nigerian YouTuber, they are altogether gone after vain rewards. |
edoairways:Just like xiaomi was before the last few months. Umidigi is currently testing the Nigeria mobile market acceptance for it's product through online sales. Umidigi is an international brand and are currently focused on entering Europe, to gain more recognition so as to drive sales and innovative advancement. When these are archived, Africa; Nigeria is next. |
I am just going to follow this thread. But op, can you provide evidence regarding tecno paying ambassadors to publicise a lie to the public? If you can't, please edit your post and remove the unverified claims. I encourage the truth and facts as much as possible, irrespective of my stand on the matter. |

AmosAkins:If you order your xiaomi device from aliexpress, you will find it's parts on aliexpress. If you bought the device in any offline store e.g slot, computer Village and others, the same store will provide warranty and after sales service to your device. Since you were not sure of the information you are posting, you shouldn't post it. This is a public forum not your phone's notepad. If I wasn't here to correct that notion, millions of people will see this and take it as the absolute truth without knowing the person who was typing was just speaking ignorantly... Right? |
Androidking:You have no right to expect xiaomi to do anything because I expect you to be reasonable and objective with your views but you are endlessly biased. So you are cutting tecno, infinix some slack by advising people to spend their money on a faulty brand? You are wicked. I am leaving off from commenting on this issue. I am sure the purpose of this thread has been meant. Anyone who visits nairaland will never touch transission. Or if they do, they can join the queue of persons whom marketers here will blame for buying a fake tecno, infinix device after the same markerters convinced them to buy the problematic device in the first place |
AmosAkins:Please do some research before posting online to avoid sounding archaic and misleading. Slot.ng offers a 1 year warranty to any xiaomi device bought. Please verify your claims before going public with it. |
Androidking:It was you that said a xiaomi marketer was praising the chipset prowess and choice of xiaomi company when you are supposedly among the 80% of smartphone users who doesn't care about chipset but cared enough to notice that the chipset of the redmi 8 is 2.0ghz and a xiaomi marketer praised xiaomi for only using 2.2ghz chipset specifically. Na the same you ooohhh... Buy 80% of people don't care about chipset, yet you hold chipset issue for neck... Keep deceiving yourself and manipulating others. People will notice you for this. |
Androidking:If I am frustrated, if there is any frustration at all. It not because transission is making money off the innocence of majority of Nigerians like you clearly stated but because people like you who are supposed to know the truth and speak for truth are sentimentally oriented enough to not care about the difficulties of others. Anyway, the guy using the infinix smart 3 with all types of hanging and unstable lock systems. Said he is not interested in joining nairaland, but he did allow me snap his device. Which I attached to this post. But I guess its not transission's fault that some of their product are okay and others are just plain bad, it's the fault of the innocent barrow pusher, masons and other struggling Nigerians for not knowing better, right? Just like this my friend who ignorantly bought this transission device that is more or less a toy or just a low level java device with unnecessary glorification by deceitful marketers like you androidking

gogeekish:You are blessed already sir. |
Androidking:Kindly die this ignorant claims. How can you say apps failing is due to low ram? Then even go further to say it happens on all phones... Wait.. These information you are spurring here, do you even bother to do a research first before going ahead with your insinuations or you just type as it deems fit to you without respect for others knowledge and exposure? I want to believe what you are saying but I can't seem to find any reasonable logic to ascertain any form of authenticity in this claim of yours. Get my points. Someone praised xiaomi but not xiaomi but the chipset speed not the chipset branding but the general idea that xiaomi only uses a chipset of 2.2ghz? There are less than a handful of chipset with such speed and xiaomi has used over hundreds of chipsets on their devices. So for someone to specifically praise xiaomi for chipset speed is preposterous and overreaching. Does the speed of a chipset guarantee that a device is good? Now, if the person who you claimed may have said this is real. Does he even have the basic idea of how a mobile device works? Even xiaomi devices that uses mtk chipset have proven that, a chipset is half the job when making a device. The application of the chipset is what makes the overall experience of a mobile device. I would love have a link or screenshot to that claim... I will also do a general search here on nairaland just to see who said it. |
Ajibo111:3/32 46,500 and 48,000 for 4/64. |
Androidking:She is only saying yes, because she is surrounded by persons like you who would rather watch her languish in agony than put her before yourself. Let me give it to you blunt and simple, if after using a xiaomi, lenovo, Samsung, Huawei or realme device you still suggest a transision device to someone in need of a phone on the arrogant basis of cheap .... you are wicked. how much did your friend get the infinix note 4 then? It's not okay that most transision device are okay, for zesus sake, things are hard people spend money to buy these inferior and outrageously priced piece of deceit called transision. Why spend your hard earned money on a device that has a probability of being okay, when you can buy a device that is assuredly great.? Okay is even bad as it is, yet not all are okay? and you will still suggest a device knowing fully well that the person buying it might buy a faulty device like we continually witness daily on nairaland? Let me be open with you. Till today I still test phones on phone shops after purchase, do you know why? Because then, after you buy a transision device. If you fail to test it all round. It is either you get home and the earpiece isn't working, sim card isn't getting network, top of the screen isn't working or the charging port of a new phone is not responsive. Tell me I am lying and I will open an account here on nairaland for a friend who bought an infinix smart 3, two days later when you swipe the phone it unlock even with fingerprint enabled and password enabled, and sometimes the phone will lock and refuse to open even with the correct finger print or password typed. Let's not even go into the hanging nature of the device. These went on for days until he decided to remove the password lock completely. I suggested the Samsung A2 core to him, and did give him a sample to play with. He couldn't believe till date that the A2 core is 1gig ram. When he tried returning the infinix s3 he bought back to the seller due to all the problems he was experiencing, she blamed the 1gig ram for the error. Yet the Samsung A2 core is 1gig ram, not even for once when it was with me did it hang or fronze during daily use. The day he decides to liberate himself from the captivity of transision, let him start with a Samsung of 25k if he will not curse transision to their face. |
Androidking:I ordered the redmi 5 plus about 2 or 3 years ago for a friend through noobody here on nairaland. His previous device before that was cubot x6. After using the cubot for over a year, he sold it. I personally warned him against getting tecno or infinix device, but he wanted a device urgently so he said. I followed him to a plaza where he got the infinix note 4 pro for around 68k or there about. Guess what... he sold it after two weeks of use. Before asking my opinion on the xiaomi redmi 5 plus, which I ordered for him through noobody. And from that time till date. He is still using the redmi 5 plus. That is the only instance that can be verified and proven true here on nairaland, so I will leave at that. Anyone who steps out of transision's net, is never going back. You can check nairaland for different thread and narratives for confirmation. Meanwhile, I bought the second redmi 8 today as planned. 4/64, that is two redmi device in less than a week. No be money too dey, na say whoever I give am to no go come with shocking complaints. It's only on a transision device you will be seeing all types of system failure including contact not responding, Facebook has stopped, camera not found, Instagram force closing. Silly stuffs like that.
|
tboydbrave:So far, I have gotten the redmi 8 twice. But the second today. Blue color 3/32gig and black color 4/64, one was given to a friend and this current one is for a relative. What I have not done is playing any heavy games on any of them probably because I have no intention of using the redmi 8 as my main device. The chipset on the redmi 8 can handle any game, but on low or mid settings. The redmi note 8 is a much better choice if gaming is your major purpose for getting the device. The redmi 8 is what am currently typing with. And it doesn't support glo's 4G if you are in on that. But it does support mtn and airtel's 4G. |
Androidking:The chipset on redmi 8 series is sd 439 not sd 435 like you said. And yes, when a xiaomi user sells his xiaomi device, it is to get a higher xiaomi device. If you are opportuned to use a xiaomi device of low-midrange you would never stop wanting to use their highend device. The build quality, the sturdy feel, the smooth performance and the authentic materials used on their lowend device would make you want to feel their highend device even if it's for a moment. I bought the 3G/32G variant of the redmi 8 few days ago for a friend. Seeing how awesome the device performed, I am getting the 4/64 tomorrow according to plan for a relative. When a tecno or infinix user sells their device, they never touch anything transission again. That's how bad the transission standard for mobile device are. |
KCode:The best transission device shouldn't be more than 20k. A lowend phone shouldn't be priced like a mid-range device. Yet you see people spending 40,50,60,70 and even 80k on a transission device... I no just understand. Even the tecno t901 I bought, am regretting, everything lags including typing a number, no even bother about opening messages because that takes its own time to load. I used to think that tecno featured devices are okay. But from now henceforth, anything transission related is a completely damaged goods to me. |
konezy1:Warranty covers none-self inflicted damages on the mobile phone. Phone lagging, or not being able to handle tasks is not covered by warranty. It's that simple. |
AlphaStyles:Good to know. In terms of expectations; can you say you expect your phone of 23k-25k to perform on the same level like the Pouvour 3 of 40k the op is discussing about? Because if you buy any tecno device for more than call and text messaging. You will have tons of problems. |
Yyvonne:Let's talk about you. Which phone are you using? |
AlphaStyles:Which tecno phone did you use for 3years without having problems? |
allandutch:He is paid to mess up, to encourage others to mess up. |
AlphaStyles:I thought as much. So someone using the phone is lying because your friend says otherwise? So we should take what you said your friends said over what someone using the phone said? |
AlphaStyles:I personally bought it few weeks ago. 25,100 naira in slot. The Samsung A2 core is with me right now. Don't flitch. It's hard to believe the phone is 1gig ram, let alone the ridiculous detailed pictures it takes with having just 8mp rear camera lens. I took the pic of the redmi 8 with the A2 core. but you see people ignorantly purchasing transission devices with the excuse of their outdated and unreasonably devices being the cheapest available in the mobile market.

Yahman1:Well there is something your tecno can do that no xiaomi device can.. your tecno can launch whatsapp, minimise and open Facebook then come back to see whatsapp reloading from installation point . |
