I think Atiku was right. They have no idea 80 percentage of Northern population live in villages. And more than half of the rural population can not read and write in English but they can in Arabic. So people shouldn't misconstrue this as illiteracy. Most rural population are well versed in Arabic literacy. But not well tune to modern life style. And Northern politicians always like and take advantage of their ignorance of Nigerian reality.

All this injustice is due to emiratsim. Kebbi is divided into four emerates: Argungu, Gwandu, Yauri and Zuru emirates. Every governor in Kebbi since 1999 is from Gwandu emirate and they are not willing to let power shift to any other emirate. That's why they keep the other emirate down trodden. First Tunibu is too ill, old and frail to rule and he is more a shady character to get people trust. I didn't like his choice of running mate either. Atiku is clearly not willing or able to rescue Nigeria from present quagmire but clearly more interested to amass more wealth and enrich his army of cronies and endless family members. While Peter Obi is just there to promote Igbo hidden agenda which will eventually pave the way for Igbo break away. Kwankwaso is not serious candidate at all just a distraction for his zombies followers in Kano to achieve some selfish goals.

That's because most of the Northerners are not well educated, are very poor and believe in tribal and religious politics.

They know Peter Obi will work towards a solution to the poverty and illiteracy among Hausa/Fulani's in the North, so the politicians from the North don't want him. But the poor Hausa/Fulani's will become wiser before the elections.

It is open knowledge Nigerians vote based of ethnic or religious sentiments not just Northerners.
