So yeah, I know he's bored of me already (I told him were sort of a routine everyday now and its true, ) but there's not much I can do to show him I still care and I don't want to lose him but if we have to break up then we will.

I wonder how a planned war will gulp-down a cripple.  But how can someone possess something she knows that its usefulness is quite remote or even a mere whimsy?   Discard it, discard it , I mean anything that will hurt you.

I have to warn you though, dem might work you over a bit and the size of your heart may expand through your chest to give you a deluded confidence. For example, I still consider myself a victim of your unguided words, but not minding you and the insults you give to my buddies in Nairaland just because they stated their views. However, would you learn how to keep your cool and not go further with your insult? Unfortunately, explaining something that is infinite for a finite mind of yours to understand is impossible.

One last thing, the whole solution can be stated quite simply by asking, 'Is there anything you gain from your insult?

Still maintain that at 13, the parents must not tolerate nonsense from her just because they want to show her love.

Some people must learn how to make their points without insulting others.  Everybody is entitled to state his or views no matter how it sounds, but don’t insult others.

Regrettably, I have known some people in this site, they can’t make their views without adding insult to other people’s opinion.  Your view is good to your mind, so others reason that theirs are better.  So, Seun should try and do something about this insult.

It is good to love your children but never you love them base on wrong. Remember again, “spare the rod and spoil the child.” I’m not saying you should turn her to punching bag.

Meanwhile, it’s a pity that at 13, your kid is making such decision and here, some people are advising you to leave her alone, show her love etc. Show Love? Yes, but whose detriment at last? Let me tell you, you will be held responsible for any wrong decision your daughter takes today as long as she remain a kid.

My own advice to you is to talk to her gently but if she refuses to listen, then resolutely force her to give up the idea of atheism. Though, church is not necessarily visiting that structure there. You can still have that church, I mean discussion of the bible right in your home. The only thing I’m against is that of atheism. She is still a kid and so, you must not allow that in your home. When she is of age, she can then decide what to be, but heaven will testify that you have done your best when you had the power to control her.

I’m just wondering the way people react to posts on Nairaland.  I don’t know when we will accept that we are in a free world and so we are all entitled to speak our minds.  However, speaking our minds does not in any way permit insult or contumely words against each other.

Sincerely speaking, you have not initiated trouble against any person as far as this thread is concerned. The trouble was initiated the other way round.  A thread is here for us to share our experiences and that you had just done.  The whole thing started like a joke and it gradually degenerated into insult, manut, myically use of words which we soundly disapprove of in this forum.

So, I can’t understand why some people are insulting Lawyer for sharing his experience, and we all know that from his initial posts he did not insult anybody.  Again, of all he narrated, were you there?  To what extent could you establish the genuineness of his story?  You are there to give advice and not to insult.  Let him say whatever thing he likes, that’s what he enjoys being single.

Finally, hey! Seun, I call upon you right now to consider banning these girls if they go ahead insulting Lawyer or any other person for stating his or her views.  But for now, the mistake has been made and Seun need to forgive all of them.  Besides, you don’t have to keep silent anymore and watch this war of words developing into another thing, and this does not speak well for this site.  If I state here that I have dumped 2000 girls, how does that concerns you?  It’s what I enjoy that I share with you.  So, you can only advise me against such act and not to insult me. 

I had a similar experience in this Nairaland and as a result of it, I found it difficult to login on this site just to avoid some shallow minded ones. But for this thread, no one has a shallow mind .  First, some Nairaland users insulted someone that posted his views and for that, I stopped.  Second, I posted my views someone also came against me.  Though, both of us settled later and that was after I had reacted beyond what she expected.

Please, enough is enough.  It’s just an advice.

I don't think it's proper for anyone to criticize Sun Newspaper simply because it writes against government.  Some Newspapers are used by the government of the day and they don't write anything against government because they are on their payroll.  If you check it from the onset, Sun is known for revealing any hidden secret of the government and that is why some (not those that yearn for truth) condemn the Newspaper.  It has won many awards and it's known to be the best in Nigeria.

Today, we have seen that other Newspapers have come to publish this same news of Obasanjo's disgraceful act.  Who is now right?  Sun?  I still challenge anyone to state any untrue publication by Sun Newspaper.

However, we know Sun and Obasanjo doesn't agree - bearing in mind the owner of the Newspaper (Orji Uzor Kalu), but if there is any untrue publication coming from the Sun Newspaper, OBJ must obviously act in the law court.  Finally, Gbenga said and Sun published.  So, why bashing at Sun Newspaper?

I said not every person can open mouth and say he has slept with a girl, and in your post, you still said some people boast of it.  So, my question is - what is the difference between not every person and ‘some people?  I can't understand what a Street Boy like you is doing here.  What is difficult in making your point without insult?  You need to brush yourself up – at least my younger brother can take you on English lesson classes - free lectures.

Well, I understand your point. Maybe, you should consider the age of those guys that say such a thing. Any guy who is 25 and above and still tell people the girls he slept with is not yet mature. Forget about age.

Some other guys may openly say they have slept with some girls, but I said I don’t do it and my friends have not said such a thing in any of our discussion(s). It sounds so childish and very shameful. Any guy that can say such a thing cannot be in our company. I cannot remember the last time I heard such a thing. I tell you, we don’t bring such a thing into our discussion(s). Though, we are not Saints but whatever thing that happens in the bedroom between you and your girl should not be mentioned outside. What do you hope to achieve by saying such a thing? You only make yourself foolish before your friends. What’s new there? Is it an achievement? So,why bringing such obscene matter? Nothing so eludes conscious inspection as consciousness itself.  When health is absent Wisdom cannot reveal itself and reason is powerless.  That is  where I classify you. To make a deep mental path, you must think over and over the kind of thoughts you wish to dominate your life and not the type of your thoughts you imbibe from all your tout friends at various bus stops – not surprise every of your post is full of insult

You must grow and in order to grow, you must have to be willing to let go of your baseless ideas and let go of your tout friends you are made of, and you’ve got to set standards and you've got to learn from others. What makes people wise in life is their willingness to learn. Please, raise your standard, demand more from yourself.  I believe in my heart that knowledge exploration is key for all of us but especially for our good, and to keep their futures open-ended and never ending is really, really important.

The type of friends you go with will somehow determine your actions.  My friends are not the type whose discussions are centred on boy and girlfriends.  When most boys gather together, they discuss girls, and when girls gather together – they discuss boys.  This is why you see most people telling you how they slept with this girl and that.  I didn’t tell you I have not seen any guy telling people the girls he has slept with, but I said my friends cannot say such a thing, and I don’t say it too.  I hope you are mature enough to understand my simple grammar.

We can discuss and discuss but not to the level of telling each other about the girls we slept with.  It sounds childish to open your mouth and say such a thing.  I’m not a saint but there are things you need not say.

We can now see how wise you are.  Would it not be wise for him to ask the girl what was or is going on between her and his friend hence the guy reacted negatively?  How could his friend who encouraged him to go after the girl could be angry with him?  Won’t you reason like adult?  We have not heard from his friend but psychologically one has to doubt the Poster’s statement.  A King that pronounces judgment on hearing from one side can never be a good King.  You may think I’m below 19 but I tell you – I’m 30 and a Professional Philosopher. How could the guy be annoyed?  Please, make use of your brain and forget the issue of jealousy.  Let assume you are the Poster, and your friend encourage you to go after the opposite sex that visited her, later she gets angry with your action despite she has encouraged you.  Now, what would you do?  Keep mute?  Most of these teenagers reasoning in this forum could be disgusting.

You think every guy can openly say he slept with a girl?  What ego is there to boost?  I have never one day told any person that I slept with any girl despite they often see me with my girl friends.  Besides, none of my friends can also say such a thing because I know they always like to claim good guys which they are not.  Even when they sleep with any girl(s), they will still come and tell you that they are not interested to sleep with her.  I have not seen anything there that will warrant any guy to degrade himself to the extent of telling people any girl you sleep with.  Does it not sound foolish to say such a thing? 

Mr Poster, you are now making a hell of noise - why not ask the girl what was going on between her and your friend.  It seems you never cared to find out.  I believe, finding out from her will help you a lot.  Human beings can be tricky.

I heard of the interview when a friend of mine came back. He even put the number to 50,000 and I doubted him. Someone also said the interview was the worst in Nigeria. It is a disgrace to Nigeria. They are busy chasing ladies on trousers and demolishing places where petty traders get their daily bread. I know some graduates are even fed by their parents - some of these parents have lost all the places due to demolition exercise going on now.
