Please any idea on sites I can get conferences/workshops that are cheap. The ones I am seeing are too high. |
bettyLad:wow...Good to see a partner. Please lets chat and figure out a way to crack this nut. |
Hello, please kindly attend to this question. I have been reading this thread for some time now. I must confess it's a bit diffcult to understand somethings. And I haven't come across anyone with a case like mine. I studied a 4year course (sociology and anthrpology) in a state university and I work as a sales and marketing rep in an oil and gas company which is not related to my field of study. Will my job contradict my course of study during assessment? On the other hand, am also a fashion designer. I saw it on the list of occupations. Can i choose it if the demand is not high and how can I get supporting document since I am self employed in that angle. So sorry for the long post. |
Good morning y'all, please is it correct if I put SELF in sponsorship Column in our ds 160 form for hubby and I. Or should I just state that hubby is sponsoring us. NOTE: we are applying with the kids. |
OmoBendel24:thanks @omobendel Pls throw more light on number 3, |
[quote author=Ekomatty post=65889038]Hello all, I've been a silent reader on here, i went for an interview today. Below is the transcri I think as a business man that has been exporting to China since 6years should have China as one of his travel history. |
Zimzee:Pls good people attend to this one..abeg |
Good evening house, please I need a guide. I am filling our forms(me and my family). Now I have gotten to the stage of employment. I am a fashion designer and Its not in the drop down options. So I chose OTHER. But how do I describe my duties and responsibility as a fashion designer? 2. In the sponsorship Column, Is it in order if I put SELF for my self and SELF for my hubby since we are both sponsoring the trip. 3. Is it right for me to be the principal applicant since I am the one that has been following the thread and has better understanding of how the system works. Pls it's urgent. Thanks y'all |
Hello good people, I have started filling my ds 160 and I need to make some clarifications to avoid mistakes abeg. 1) we chose Florida as our destination.. I googled and it looks like an interesting place to visit. Please is it OK or are there better places suitable for family tourism?( note we are gonna be staying in a hotel where ever its gonna be) 2)secondly, for someone that's self employed, I didn't see column for self employed... This is what I saw(find attached). 3) how do I link my children's forms to mine and Hubby's?

nikkycool:Wow..thanks for this piece of info. Its really helpful |
LadyGuinivere:Thanks lady G |
seyewest:Hubby has his own registered lubricant company and he is doing well, I own my own business as well. We have landed properties too. |
OmoBendel24:Thank you omobendel. |
Hello my people, twale to lady G, seyewest, ladylco, omobendel, and a host of others that are swiftly answering us here, I am here again to ask more questions regarding my application, I really want to get it right the first, so that's why I am taking my time, I don't want to be in a hurry. My intention was to visit US with my whole family(4kids..ages10,8,8,1) and hubby as I stated in my previous questions. but having read through thread 1-3, I have seen that so much has been talked about home ties, though hubby and I have good income, But am thinking if it would be best, hubby and I with our one year old baby should go first this summer thereby using our 3 other kids as home tie, then maybe during Xmas we will apply for the rest of our kids, and then travel as a family. Or do you we should go ahead and apply as a family,? Please I really wanna get it right, Abeg your candid opinion will be appreciated. |
dubolog:@dublog, I studied sociology and anthropology in school and I am now a fashion designer. Biko does it mean I am disqualified already. |

, I must commend you all for your help, happy new year all. Please I need interpretation to this dream, I dreamt where I was harvesting few corns to roast and eat, suddenly I saw a man from my village offering me part of his pear for #100. I agreed and as I bend down to pack the pears from the ground, I looked to my right and I saw two more pears lying separately on the ground, the more I pick , the more I see more pears. I continued picking till i had more than enough. Though I didn't notice any pear tree in that dream. 2) later in the same dream, I saw a friend of mine buying roasted corn, he called out to me to come take some and I went. |
OmoBendel24:Thank you for your prompt response. |
Is it advisable to state your salary monthly or annually when asked how much one earns by the vo? |
Hello house, I have not applied for a visa inorder words no travel history, the same is applicable to my family members. But now we want to apply for b1/b2 visa and we don't want to be denied. below is our status please help rate us. I have four kids with my husband making 6 of us. My husband has his own registered company producing their own branded engine oil. And his bank statement is OK. Me on the other hand, I am a fashion designer with my own label. We do ready to wear, made to measure and bespoke. And my monthly turnover is about 800k. We have landed properties in our names. I want to go on a vacation my family. Pls ur advice. Remember no travel history |
LadyGuinivere:OK, so pls what are you suggesting, letter from her schools both present and past, receipts or what do you have in mind. Biko tell me. |
LadyGuinivere:@ladyG, thanks a bunch, this info is very appreciated. This has been bothering me. So if her mum gets to fill the consent form, we are good to go?. We have lots of family pics taken with her at various times. |
Hello house.......please I need your advice, I got married 10yrs ago, and 2yrs into my marriage one of my sis in law who is separated with her hubby pleaded with me to help her care for her then 4year old daughter that she needed to get her life back. Its been 8yrs now, the girl is 12yrs now, she is like my own child, some people thinks she is my biological child. The question is can I include her in my family application since she is not biological to me. I know I am not gonna tell all this stories to the vo cos I may not be permitted to. Is possible to take her along and if yes, what steps should I take.? Thanks |
charaph:Not like visa can't be issued to people with no travel history. From the transcripts I have read from part1 to part3, I saw were visas were given to holders of virgin passports without any travel history. Your wife is a fashion designer, what is her average monthly income? Then aside your 370k salary, do you have a secondary source of income? Because you need to convince the vo of your family's ability to cater for the trip. Then what becomes your home tie when you travel with all your family? These are the things you need to have answers to. My humble opinion though. The gurus knows better. |
domcreative:Thank you. So she should continue with her personal account for now? |
OmoBendel24:Thank you....... So we shouldn't bother with those abii?. |
Hello everyone, please a friend of mine who is self employed has been doing business for almost 9yrs now and her turnover is good, now she wants to apply for b1/b2 visa with her family and she wants to also use her income to support her husbands who is also self employed ( oil and gas) with good turn over too. But the issue here is that her( my friends) company is not registered and the account she is running her business with is her personal account. 1) Can she use the bank statement of her account for the interview? 2) or should she go and register her company? 3) if yes to number 2, will presenting a newly registered company cert. affect her chances? 4) would she also need to open an account with the newly registered name? Please, I don't know if I presented my case well but please help me with some advice. Thanks in anticipation. |
seyewest:Thank u for your response. Talking about ties. I didn't mention that I have a fashion and designing business that I inherited from my mum. I have been running it since 2009. I engaged the services of a manager and they remit an average monthly income of 180k. Adding it to my salary of 300k will give about 480k monthly income. Do I need to state this in my form?. Thanks |
OtunOba15:OK oo, lemme continue reading... Thanks. Will be back with more questions....lol |
OtunOba15:Otunba15, I am still reading part 2 while following this part 3. Sometimes it can really get confusing. Please a little explanation to my question will surely go a long way and will highly be appreciated. Thanks |
Wallace303:U are welcome |
so why going with just 1?we gave her reasons and she asked other normal questions but we believe it might be the reason for our rejection.Planning to reapply this year though with either all the kids or me and hussy alone.Hope this helps.
