If you are using localhost in your computer, you can manually delete the installation folder from your Joomla files. You can also delete it from the public_html folder if you are online or any other folder you installed Joomla. sodson11: Wia is my own 'Xmas gift' Joomla 3.2 nt removing installation file,aw do i install |

I don't think so, it does not have script installer. 53cur3m0d3: Thanks bro, but I'm using Xampps, can I load it that way too? |
If you are using AMPPS, you can use the script auto-installer to install Joomla. Just enter this link: http://localhost/ampps/index.php?act=software&soft=413. That is for Joomla 3.2. When you are in the environment: http://localhost/ampps, you can walk your way around installing other scripts and apps. 53cur3m0d3: Thanks bro, wat's the installation timeframe for 2.5? I'll add U up on whatsapp to ask U some questions |
Joomla 3.2 usually takes some time to complete the installation on stage 5. The first time I tried it, I couldn't get to make it install on Chrome browser, it was Firefox I finally worked after about 5 times but subsequently, there has been no issues. Alternatively, download and install Joomla 2.5 and lets see if you will have the same problem. 53cur3m0d3: Same problem I encountered so I restarted the system, na so I enta gobe... Wen I tried installing again, the layout on my PC was wack. Twas showing HTML codes like label so I cudn't select from the. Drop down menu... I cleaned up my PC again and still had same issue.... Pls help |

Install AMPPS on your computer. 1. Download the AMPPS installer package at http://ampps.com/downloads 2. Run the installation file as you do with regular software and follow the step by step instructions. 3. Open “AMPPS Control Panel Application” and start “Apache” and “MySQL”. If all went well, the aforementioned services will start and you will have the first image below, then type http://localhost on your browser to start using your local server as shown in the second image enm: Please how do I create a local host server on my laptop using ampps? Thanks in advance for your reply

There are no known developers who give free components to users since components are developed for specific purposes. Some sites may just have a few free components. Be careful with free extensions from unknown sources because they could be an avenue to compromise your site. You can search for any component you want and if a free version is offered, please make sure you download it from source. Send a message to the email address in my signature so I can forward 2 form builders to you. Rizstar: @zinofego |
PHP should be the next. You can also learn some CMS like Joomla, Wordpress. There is a FREE Joomla class here on NL: https://www.nairaland.com/1485054/joomla-free-training-nairaland-live sanny18: more like wat |

Since this isn't resolving at the moment, try another stack of Apache, PHP and MySQL like WAMP or XAMPP. 53cur3m0d3: Oga mi, I don change port sotey... I dey on 705 now sf but e still nor work.. |
Try another port. 53cur3m0d3: @ZINO, done that, I accessed the file and changed the port 80 to 8080. Immediately I saved and restarted, it alerted me that port 8080 is being used by another application... I tried running the URL again but it's still displaying same empty page... |
Try here: http://localhost/ampps. If this doesn't work. May be you should change the Apache port of your localhost as I outline below from my earlier post: To fix this, on the AMPPS user interface, click Apache, then Configuration as shown in the image below. The configuration file will open in a text editor like notepad. Go the line 49 of that file and change “Listen 80” to “Listen 8080” save the file. Restart the Apache. Open your browser and type: “http://localhost:8080” and press enter. Your phpmyadmin URL: http://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin. 53cur3m0d3: I uninstalled the Mysql for my jsp projects, restarted my Pc and reinstalled Ampss... Now it works fine but I've got another issue... When I type localhost/phpmyadmin and enter, all I get is a blank screen with the title header phpmyadmin... Pls help

Most templates can work as forum template as long as there are enough module positions. But what makes a forum looks the way it is depends on the type of component that was used. sunday478: Oga Zino... How do I get a forum template, that i can install on joomla |
I installed AMPPS 2.1 on my Windows 8 and it has been working well. Your system has created some logs that you need to clean up before you may proceed with fresh installation. In the meantime, you can try other apps line XAMPP, OR WAMP. 53cur3m0d3: I restarted my PC and tried installing it again, all it does is pop up that User Account Control dialog where U click Yes or No and after clicking Yes, it displays a cmd window and then disappears. I've run as administrator too, it doesn't seem to be working |
