Definition of SHE-POPO-TAMUS in 20 words: Shepopotamus is a domestic appendage extracted from the creeks of NigerDelta, however despite all tricks 2refine it, it has remained crude. Physics law for SHE-POPO-TAMUS: Shepopotamus is directly proportional to domestic appendages and inversely proportional to mermaids, manatees, even mammy watas.
Anu! So this shepopotamus thing is a matter of national importance right? More important that the the underage child marriage issue in the senate right? Or were you not thesame person insulting nigerians on the other tread for dwelling so much on an issue of no urgent importance? Chameleon! |
frosbel: The POPE has no POWER to forgive Sins.Jesus breathed on his apostles and said 'receive the holy spirit, if you forgive men's sin, they are forgiven. If you retain them they are retained'. The pope, just like everyother priest can forgive sins, once the penitent makes a good confession |
WOW!! Whilst others are still debating wether using an e-bible was okay, the catholic church has taken it 5 steps ahead!! So now I can pork a babe and just tweet my sins to the Priest and be forgiven instantly!! I love this.. Sinning has never been better.. ![]() #Pope, #Vatican #FatherArinze"In nomine patri et fili spiritu sancte" Father Forgive me for I have sinned.. ...However, like i earlier said, i dont like this new development. |
Afam4eva: Is the Catholic faith independent of what is in the bible? It is not bro. Kinda morethan. Remember the early christians(catholics) that handed the bible to you could have edited it to suit them if they had wanted to. Moreover, how are you sure they did'nt? Faith! Is it not? Dan brown, in his novel the davinci code claims that a lotta christian believes as contained in the bible is fraud. I dont belief him, and maybe you dont too. So lets just hold onto our faith bro, thats religion |
...However, i'm against this modern technology-religion partnership. Abuse is likely to set in |
Afam4eva: You're permitted. You dont understand religious matters thesame way you do politics. Faith is a strong phenomenon and the catholic faith demands the faithfuls to be real LAMBS. I'm a catholic, but i dont understand all the church's doctrine, i just apply FAITH |
If these are the only choice we Anambraians have to choose from, then I choose an Aboki Military Administrator from the core North!! As usual, discusions like this always end at one thing; we christians making a mockery of ourselves. Every friday, topics about islam that hit frontpage only helps in solidifying the faith of an average muslim. But same cannot be said about christian topics on sundays |

Shollypopz: This link proves the caller wrong...just went through the link. The scientists verdict is not quite far from the callers opinion. The caller's main argument was that most homesexuals found themselves in the act and not that they willingly imbibed it via environmental influence. He kinda felt that most homosexuals have little control over their abnormal sexuality because its like a natural thing to them |
Enegod: mtcheeewGuy u harsh o. Na wetin na? |
I was listening to a radio program on rhythm fm about homosexuality. A guy who claimed to be Gay called into the program and argued that homosexuality is more of a genetic problem than environmental. According to him, most homosexuals were probably born with that abnormality and not acquired via environmental influence as the popular belief is. He even gave the instance of certain females who grow up behaving like men(tomboys) even from childhood. The guy said that most gays(including himself) woun't mind spending a fortune in finding a cure to the abnormality if available. I felt the guy was serious with his belief when he claimed to be a 'born again christian'. So fellow nairalanders, whats your take? Is homosexuality more genetic than enviromental? |
Brimmie: Tell Lil' Wayne to change his name to Big Wayne! U Sha Wan Comment By Force!Y u dey attack am na? |

Anybody that WORSHIPS mary is no catholic. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is the central point of catholicism. Every other practice or doctrine is just to bring us closer to that fact, including our honour for mary. Many ignorant christians so much hate catholics, they jump into conclusion matters they dont understand. You hate catholicism, yet you practice some of our traditions. Many footballers make the sign of the cross during matches(including non catholics), many christians keep rosaries in their cars(non catholics included) yet they come back to insult traditions they secretely admire. My advice for all you haters of the church is this- YOUR HATE FOR THE CHURCH SHOULD NOT LEAD YOU INTO SAYING THINGS YOU WILL REGRET EITHER IN THIS LIFE OR THE NEXT. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO HONOUR MARY, BUT PLEASE DONT FALL INTO THE TEMPTATION OF INSULTING HER, COS JESUS WOULD CERTAINLY NOT LIKE IT. Peace! |
lol... pagan madness? and you know this because?.. der u go, interpreting the bible according to your level of ignorance... The Gospel of St. John relates two significant accounts which relate to Mary — the wedding feast of Cana and the Crucifixion. Of the first account we read: “There was a marriage in Cana of Galilee, and the Mother of Jesus was there. And Jesus also was invited, and His disciples, to the marriage. And the wine failing, the Mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’ And Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what is it to Me and to thee? My hour is not yet come.’ His Mother said to the waiters, ‘Whatsoever He shall say to you, do ye’” (John 2:1-5). Jesus Christ then proceeded to work His first public miracle at His Mother’s request. Everything related in the Gospels is inspired by God, and there is a reason for it. Does not this narrative of the wedding feast manifest the intercessory power of Mary with Jesus Christ, her Divine Son? In the second account, also take from the Gospel of St. John, we read: “There stood by the Cross of Jesus His Mother... When Jesus therefore had seen His Mother and the disciple standing whom He loved, He saith to His Mother: ‘Woman, behold thy son...’” (John 19:25-27). Just as Eve cooperated with Adam in the Fall of mankind, the Blessed Virgin Mary cooperated with Jesus Christ in our redemption. She “stood by the Cross of Jesus.” What anguish, what sorrow did the Mother of Jesus experience at the foot of the Cross as she witnessed the sufferings and death of her Divine Son! In both accounts, Jesus addressed Mary by the term woman. In Hebrew the word used by Jesus was a term which would be addressed to a queen or a woman of high rank. It was a term of great respect. But why did Jesus Christ address His Mother by the term woman at these two significant moments in His life — at His first public miracle, and at His Crucifixion on the Cross? Our Divine Lord wanted to clearly indicate that His Mother was the Woman spoken of in the Book of Genesis: “I will put enmities between thee (Satan) and the Woman, between thy seed and her seed, and she shall crush thy head.” catholics do not, as Protestants falsely believe, worship the Blessed Virgin Mary. We honor her who was so intimately connected with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. Yes, there is only one Mediator with the Father — Jesus Christ. Only the God-Man Jesus Christ could have redeemed mankind. Nevertheless, we pray to Mary that she may intercede for us with her Divine Son. How often we request the assistance of prayers from our fellow men — how much more powerful are the prayers and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary! In the Old Testament, we read how Moses prayed with arms outstretched and interceded with God to procure the victory of the Israelites over their enemies in a crucial battle. As long as he prayed, they were victorious. When he ceased his prayers, the Israelites began to lose. Because of this, it was necessary for two men to hold up Moses’ arms in prayer until the battle was won. Also, we read in the Old Testament how Josue prayed to God to have the day prolonged in order to win another crucial battle. If Moses and Josue could have such intercession before God, how much more powerful are the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary!
God bless you my sister |
