In the year 2000, in the peaceful town of Nsugbe, Anambra State, a dark mystery unfolded that shook the entire town to it's core—a case so chilling that it has haunted the community for over two decades. Eight young lives disappeared without a trace, leaving behind grieving families and a trail of unanswered questions. A group of children between the ages of 10 to 21 were rounded up by three henchmen: Seliki Ajani, Okwasiego and Mba ana abalu agu, at the directive of the controversial senator Alphosnus Igbeke Ubanesse, for the trivial reason of firing fire crackers, commonly known as knockout. Ever since they were taken, to this day, no one has set their eyes on the missing nsugbe eight. But was this a coincidence or is there something far more sinister at play. With accusation and counter accusation including rumours of money ritual, today, we unravel the haunting story of the 8 missing kids of Nsugbe—a story of fear, suspicion, and a desperate fight for justice." "Located in Anambra State, Nigeria, Nsugbe is a close-knit community known for its serenity and traditional values. For decades, it was a place where children could roam freely, playing on dusty streets and living without fear. But in the year 2000, all of that changed. Eight children, all aged between 10 and 21, vanished under suspicious circumstances. They were ordinary kids—children of hard-working families—whose lives took a tragic turn that no one could have predicted." At the heart of this mystery lies an accusation made by a powerful figure in the community—Senator Alphonsus Obi Igbeke. On that fateful day, the senator alleged that these children had been throwing firecrackers at him, a seemingly harmless prank. Shockingly, the senator ordered that the children be picked up one after another from their various victims homes. what is bizarre is not that the senator was playing vigilante, a portfolio far from his job description, nor was it the fact that fire crackers were not considered illegal and therefore arresting children for using it, was silly and out of order. it was the fact that these children told the senator and his henchmen, repeatedly, under illegal torturing and unlawful detention, that they did not do it. On that black day, Seliki Ajani, Okwasiego and mba ana abalu agu broke into the house of one of the children , Chinenye Christian Ekwealor who was 10 years old as at then, and after throwing the house upside down, demanded that the child be brought to Ubanesse. As the stories told, the child was later picked up by the henchmen in what could be called a kidnapping and taken without the consent of the parents to the house of the Senator, who is alledged by his kinsmen to be a criminal kingpin. This was no ordinary arrest as the events that followed would plunge Nsugbe into one of its darkest chapters. The boys were beaten and tortured repeatedly while being forced to confess to deeds they didn't commit. After undue, illegal and prolonged torture, in which the children were being beaten to confess to crimes they knew nothing about and have vehemently denied, one of the children agreed under duress to having a gun in his parents house. At this point, it is pertinent to pause and remember that among these was a 10 year old child. One needs to ask themselves what a 10 year old had to do with a gun. Family members of the boys were thrown into confusion. Nkechi, sister to be of the boys, ten year old Chinenye Christian Ekwealor on getting the news of her brothers ‘kidnap’ quickly ran to Ubanesse’s house, where she saw the children kneeling, their hands tied behind their back, crying. These children namely: Chineye Christian Ekwealor, Nweke Obiekwe, Ekene Ekwealor, Uche Ogugua and Ekene Ogugua the twin brothers from Umuezilo Ogwari, Sunday Okeke, Onyekwelu Obiekwe, Obiorah Chuma and others were being tortured with machetes and belts, as reported by Nkechi. One of the little boys from Umuezilo Ogwari agreed to having a weapon in his parent’s house. The henchmen then took the child to his parents house to retrieve the weapon. On getting to the house, the little boy said that he agreed to having the gun so that he could at the least be taken home to his parents. He hoped that when his parents saw him, they will question his unlawful detention and that of the other children. Senator Ubanesse Igbeke’s henchmen broke into and ransacked the house but couldn't find any weapons. They then proceeded to take the boy back to the senator’s house, and when the child’s parents tried to intervene, the henchman Mba ana abalu agu, Okwasiego and seliki Ajani said the Senator ordered them to return with the child. The boys parents had no option but to go to the senators house that night, but were denied entrance, on the orders of the senator Ubanesse, who is from Nsugbe, same as these children. The parents kept on trying to gain access to the house for over a week. Nwabunwanne Egenti who was the gateman at Ubanesse’s house always told them that the senator is not available to see them. When direct access to Ubanesse proved almost impossible, the help of influential people was sought. The late Ozoemena of Nsugbe who, happened to be the spokesperson for one of the abducted boys, Sunday Okeke told the parents of chinenye christian Ekwealor that the senator handed the abducted boys over to the Special Anti Robbery Squad branch of the police, SARS. In 2007, a passionate teacher in Gombe state, Nigeria, was accused of desecrating the Quran—a crime she never committed. Within hours, a mob stormed her school, dragged her out, and brutally ended her life in front of her colleagues and students. Her pleas for mercy were ignored, and justice for her murder remains a distant dream. How did a simple misunderstanding spiral into such horror? Today we look at three cold cases of religious murder that has long been forgotten, while justice still eludes the victims. In a country where diversity in faith should be a strength, it has often turned into a death sentence. Innocent lives have been brutally taken, not by faceless criminals, but by mobs fueled by religious fervor and intolerance. What would drive ordinary people to become executioners? And why does justice so often fail these victims? Today, we delve into the harrowing stories of Christina Oluwatoyin, Eunice Olawale, and Deborah Samuel—three Nigerians whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time with their faith. These are stories the nation cannot afford to forget. Case 1: Christiana Oluwatoyin Oluwasesin (Gombe, 2007) In 2007, Christina Oluwatoyin Oluwasesin was a teacher in Gombe State, Northern Nigeria. Known for her passion for teaching and her unwavering Christian faith, Christina was beloved by many of her students. Christiana Oluwatoyin Oluwasesin was happy and lively when she arrived at the Government Secondary School of Gandu, in the northern Nigerian state of Gombe on the 21st of March, 2007, where she teaches government. The married mother of two had already served state authorities notice of her resignation to join her husband, Femi, in their hometown of Abeokuta where he had taken up a job as a laboratory technician at a hospital. She was glad that she would soon be with her husband after the final day of exams that fateful day, but her joy on her last day at the school would be short-lived. One fateful day, the 21st of march 2007, the classroom became the stage for a nightmare. Mrs Oluwasesin was supervising a class writing final examination on Islamic Religious Knowledge, and to prevent cheating and other examination malpractices, she collected books, papers, and bags before the exam began in the all-female class and dropped them in front of the class. Usually such items are returned to every student as each returns her answer script. Soon after the bags collected by Oluwasesin were dropped in front of the class, one of the girls in the class began to cry. She told her colleagues that she had a copy of the Quran in her bag, that Oluwasesin touched the bag, and that by doing so she had desecrated the Quran since she was a Christian. Right after, students in the class began shouting God is great in Arabic continuously. This attracted other teachers in the school who tried to calm the students down. In the process, one of the teachers was able to take Mrs Oluwasesin out of the class to the office of the principal. The principal then left Mrs Oluwasesin and the teacher who had taken her there identified as Mr Yila in his office and also went there to the classroom to calm down the Muslim students. Mr Yila Knowing that the students may soon come to this office, pushed Mrs Oluwasesin into the bathroom in the principal's office and then locked up the office,” He then went back to the scene and was shocked to find that outside Muslim extremists had joined the chaos, destroying school property and demanding that Oluwasesin be given to them to be stoned to death. The mob believed that she had torn up a copy of the Quran, a book considered holy to over a billion people, and it’s a sin. The teachers and the principal however refused to release Mrs oluwasesin to the angry mob, and for this reason they began stoning them. In the midst of the violence, school officials and the police were unable to get access to Oluwasesin to save her as students hit them with stones and forced them to retreat. “While efforts were been made to take Mrs Oluwasesin out of the school, the Muslims broke into the principal’s office and dragged her out,” The principal rushed there to save her but he was attacked with blood gushing out from the wounded side of the head. The pleas from the principal for Mrs oluwasesin life to be spared fell on deaf ears. The principal succeeded in getting Christiana Oluwasesin up to the school gate,” he said. “There was a house near the gate, and he dragged her into the house, but the rioting Muslims went into the house and dragged her out again. This time, they clubbed her to death, brought old mats and placed dirt on her corpse, and then burned the body.” The students went ahead to set fire to classrooms, the library, Oluwasesin’s car and the motorcycle of Mr Yila, who as at then, had fled the scene. Fire personnel at the time said they could not get to the area as all roads leading to the school which had a student population of about 4,000, with about 10 percent being Christians, were blocked. After the incident, 16 suspects were arrested but were released without charge, a decision that angered many rights organizations, including the Christian community in Nigeria. Christina's death shocked the nation, but despite the outcry, no one was held accountable. To this day, her family continues to seek closure in a system that has refused to deliver justice. Case 2: Eunice Olawale (Abuja, 2016) Eunice Olawale was born on July 23, 1974. She was a deaconess at the divine touch Parish of the redeemed christian church of God and a mother of seven. She was an indigene of Ekiti state Nigeria, and had been married to her husband Elijah Olawale since the year, 2000. She was described by her husband as hardworking, God fearing and supportive in sustaining the family. She was also described by others as a humble woman and a passionate preacher. The family lived in the kubwa area of the capital city of Abuja, Nigeria. She was a well known preacher and had been preaching in that area for many years. Eunice usually left her home every morning at 5 a.m. before dawn to evangelize (usually referred to as morning cry) in the streets of Abuja. Several days before her gruesome murder, she overheard nearby Muslims comment about her preaching, that she should be chased away. She also overheard another conversation from a mosque behind their home which implied that her preaching wasn't the truth about God. After she informed her husband about what she heard, he cautioned her to be careful. After those incidents, Eunice suspended her daily morning evangelism for about a week after which she resumed. A Muslim cleric who came to their house requested for food for his Islamic school. After she stated that she didn't have any food to give him at that time, he left. On July 9th, Eunice began her day as usual, leaving her home to preach. By the time the sun rose fully, her lifeless body lay in a pool of blood on a dusty roadside. Several reports stated that she was beheaded and stabbed. Other sources stated that she was stabbed multiple times in the stomach and the leg before bleeding to death. People heard her screaming "Blood of Jesus!" at about the time she was murdered. Eyewitnesses described how a group of young men confronted Eunice, accusing her of preaching in an area dominated by Muslims. The confrontation turned violent, and she was mercilessly hacked to death. Her megaphone, bible and mobile phone were still close to her body. The authorities arrested six suspects, yet no one was convicted. Eunice’s death is a haunting reminder of how intolerance and fear can silence even the most peaceful voices. Her family continues to fight for justice, but the wounds remain fresh. Case 3: Deborah Samuel (Sokoto, 2022) Deborah Samuel was a 19-year-old Christian from Tungan-Magajiya in the Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State. She was in her second year studying home economics at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto. She was described as intelligent, ambitious, and deeply committed to her Christian faith. But a seemingly innocent voice note would seal her fate. On Thursday the 12th of May 2022, Deborah Samuel was stoned, flogged and burnt to death in Sokoto after posting a message on the class group chat. According to a coursemate of the hers, Deborah had been asked how she passed their examinations from last semester. Her response was it's Jesus oh. Three of her classmates didn’t take too kindly to the religious response and requested that she retract the statement, but she refused. Eventually, word got to Deborah’s close friends on some Muslim boys who took the matter more seriously than expected, and they also tried to persuade her to retract the statement, but Deborah was unwavering, instead she responded with these words: “Holy Ghost fire! There’s nothing that will happen to us. Everything they’re pushing to us is rubbish. It’s not like they created the group to send reasonable information. If there’s a test, or an assignment, they should put it on the group, not the rubbish they’re sending. No be only prophet.” Those were the words that led to the undeserving retaliation from her classmates and cheers from observers as she lay dying. Videos captured the chilling scene: Deborah was dragged from her classroom, beaten, stoned, and finally set ablaze by a mob of her peers. The last word in her mouth was ‘what do you hope to achieve with this?’ The footage, which went viral, sparked nationwide outrage and international condemnation. Despite clear evidence of the crime, no meaningful justice has been served. The case remains an open wound, symbolizing a justice system that fails its most vulnerable. Christina, Eunice, and Deborah represent a chilling reality in Nigeria—a society where intolerance and impunity feed an endless cycle of violence. Their stories are a call to action, a plea for justice, and a reminder that silence in the face of injustice is complicity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FezX7SLagD4?si=n3-DHX0gHYV9Scc_

This is why you should never go out with or visit someone you just broke up with no matter what. This tragic story is the reason being friends with your ex is very dangerous and should be avoided at all cost no matter how innocent they may seem. On the 21st of December, 2024, Bill Jallah and his ex girlfriend princesses Zuo went for a seat out so the two could talk. Bill and princess had been in a relationship that spanned years and had been very toxic forcing princess to send Bill a message that she was no longer interested in the relationship and wanted to move on. Bill however wanted to talk things out so an arrangement was made for them to have one final discussion and talk things out but what princess didn't know was that that would be her last day on earth. What unfolded that day was a crime born out of passion and so chilling, that no one could have predicted it. Bill Jallah, a 38 year old man was a bishop in the latter day saints church and a married father of two kids. He and princess, 30, who was widely described as kind and full of potential, had been in a relationship for a long time, but princess did not know that while their relationship was ongoing, that Bill also had another girlfriend a mutual friend of theirs. The relationship between Princess and Jallah was filled with ups and downs. Friends of Princess revealed that Bill’s possessiveness was evident early on in their relationship. He had a pattern of isolating her from her friends and demanding constant attention. While Princess initially dismissed these behaviors as signs of love, they were red flags that signaled something far more dangerous." despite this, they were still working towards getting married one day, as Bill had promised princess marriage. Shockingly bill broke his promise to princess and wedded someone else. This betrayal broke princess's heart and she broke up with Bill, but bill despite been married and becoming a father refused to let princess go. he continued to pursue her to the extent that, they were once caught in a compromising position by members of the church which led to both of them being excommunicated as a disciplinary measure.” Jallah’s refusal to let go of Princess, despite his marriage, created a toxic and oppressive dynamic. According to those close to the situation, he spied on her through mutual friends and interfered with her attempts to move on, leading to a violent confrontation that would cost Princess her life. When the situation began to get out of control People talked to Bill, that he should either forget about Princess and focus on his wife and children or make things right with Princess and marry her, “But he wouldn’t listen. Instead, he kept Princess on the side and wouldn’t let her have another relationship while still remaining married to his wife. At some point in all this back and forth with princess, Bill's wife became fed up. She began to send threatening messages to princess asking her to leave her husband alone or face ugly consequences. At first, princess ignored this messages, but then the messages kept coming, each new one more threatening than the last. Princess realized that the situation was getting out of control to the point that she feared for her life so she made up her mind to break up with Bill once and for all. She reached out to him, told him the decision she had made and that there was no going back. Bill however was not seeing reasons with princess, He saw the breakup as a betrayal and began to stalk and harass Princess, pleading for her to take him back. Despite her firm stance, Bill refused to accept that their relationship was over. He kept calling her on the phone while she was out with friends on Friday December 20th, 2024 and when she refused to pick up, on Saturday, December 21, 2024 during the afternoon hours, he went to her work place and started harassing her. Princess couldn't take it anymore, so she called Bill's father, Mr. William Jallah, and told him about the difficulty she was having with bill and his constant harassment both on call and in her work place. Bill's father on hearing this immediately called one of his daughters named Kormassa Jallah and told her about the complaint he received from Princess. Mr. William Jallah then asked Kormassa to inform her oldest sister Mawen Jallah and their mother Kumba Amos about what was going on. After the call from her father, Kormassa Jallah, then left her home and proceeded to her sister's house house where she told her about the information from their father and while the was at her sister's house, she phoned her brother Bill to inquire about his where about and he told her. Kormassa then placed a phone call to Princess but she did not pick up. However, much later when kormassa was already back to her house princess returned her call. She told kormassa about the constant harassment from bill and how he constantly spied on her and disgraced her her workplace. While they were still on the phone, Bill returned to princess's work place for the second time, and Princess not satisfied with his presence at her work site, told Kormassa “your brother Bill is here again, please call your sister and mother so you people can come and take your brother from here so he can stop embarrassing me”. Kormassa Jallah hurriedly left her house and headed to princesses working place. Upon her arrival, she met with her brother Bill at Princess's work place and Princess decided that they should all go some place else to sit and talk since where they were at her work place was inappropriate for such things. They all proceeded to an entertainment center known as Fast Nikel, situated adjacent Kool FM Radio Station, Joe Bar, Paynesville. While sittted, Bill initiated an argument with Princess asking her why she went out with her friends on the night of Friday, December 20, 2024 without his knowledge and permission all while refusing to respond to his call via phone. He became very aggressive both in words and physical expression towards princess. Princess at this point became very angry so she got up took her bag and started leaving the place. This is exactly why you should be very careful about the people you call friends. This story will teach you why you should never trust anyone so much, especially when envy and jealousy begins to creep in. On the 8th of September 2024, Paulinus Okon was invited to a birthday party by his very good friend Efe Onoentiyi, popularly known as Efe money in Otokutu, Delta state Nigeria. “Paulinus Okon was a businessman in his prime, living in Delta State, Nigeria. Known for his hard work and ambition, he was the type of person people admired. He and Efe had been good friends for years and as we know, trust is something that comes easy with a friendship that has lasted this long, so when Efe brought up attending the birthday party together with Paulinus, nothing seemed amiss. Before he left for the party however, Paulinus told his brother that his friend Efe had told him that he had a dream where he, Paulinus was getting captured and held to a ransom. Paulinus and his brother didn't make any big deal out of this dream and didn't think it mattered. Little did they know that this dream was the forebearer of the darker things that would come. The two friends left for the party in Paulinus' car. Several hours later when it had become very late and Paulinus was not yet home, his family became very worried. They tried severally to reach him on the phone without success. The next morning, Efe showed up at Paulinus' boutique to ask for money. The family was surprised. Paulinus had last been seen with Efe the previous night and the two had left together for a party. If Efe was here, Paulinus ought to have returned. They confronted him, telling him that Paulinus had left home with hm the previous evening to a party that he Efe had invited him to, so where was his friend that he was together with yesterday. Shockingly, Efe denied ever going anywhere with Paulinus the previous day, and left the shop. The search for Paulinus continued. More calls were made to his line without any success. Several days later, Efe visited Paulinus' brother and asked him to give him the sum of 500 thousand naira so he could use it to pay a native Doctor who would use spiritual means to find Paulinus. Paulinus' brother concerned and bothered about his brother's whereabout gave Efe the money he demanded after which he left. Several days later, Efe was back again. This time, he came with Paulinus' sim card. He showed it to Paulinus' family and informed them that Paulinus had been taken taken hostage and held to a ransom. He said he had been contacted by the people that captured Paulinus and that they had given him this simcard to return to a family and that they were demanding a certain amount of money before they would release him. The concerned family members rallied together and were able to raise 11 million naira which they handed to Efe. However after the payment had been made, the family did not receive any update from Efe neither was their son returned to them. A few days later, Efe was at the house again. He told the family that the men who were holding Paulinus had demanded an additional 7 million naira. Again, they rallied round and raised the money. The family was hopeful, that this time, Paulinus would be released and be allowed to come home, but much to their dismair nothing of such happened, rather, Efe was at the house again. This time however, he wasn't there to discuss anything about Paulinus' capture. He told them that his car engine was broken and needed to be fixed. That he had been running around, playing a middle man between them and the men holding Paulinus and that had resulted in his car engine developing a fault, that he needed the sum of 3.3 million naira to get it fixed. Once again, the family raised the money which they handed to Efe. At this point, it might seem that thus was the end of the extortion but no! Efe called Paulinus' brother some days later and told him that he Efe had also been captured by the same men that were holding Paulinus and that they were demanding the sum of 1.5 million naira for his safe release. The unsuspecting brother raised the money, hoping that Efe and his brother would finally be released and allowed to come home, but he was wrong. After seeing that nothing was coming out of the back and forth with Efe and the men that were supposedly holding he and Paulinus hostage, Paulinus brother knew it was time to seek help. He reached out to a human right activist Israel Joe, who took him to the Ughelli police station where they filed a missing persons report. Shortly after this was done, Paulinus' car was recovered from a roadside an was taken to the Ughelli police station. Efe who was believed to be the last person to see Paulinus alive became the prime suspect and was promptly arrested. He was taken in by the police for questioning but denied having anything to do with Paulinus disappearance. Shockingly, the police did nothing further to unravel the mystery of how Paulinus suddenly disappeared. A few days later, Israel relieved a call from Efe who was still in police custody at the time. According to Israel, Efe had threatened to deal with him for revealing his identity online. At this time, Paulinus had been missing for close to two months. Israel along with Paulinus' family then filed a petition that the case should be transferred from the Ughelli area command to the Delta state command head quarters or zone five of the Nigerian police force. The request was granted, and Efe was transferred to the state criminal investigative department, state headquarters, Asaba, delta state. Hello naira landers please I have a pressing issue at hand. I am a corp member. I started serving in September. I was initially a lagos corper but relocated because I got married. I relocated to Abuja and was posted to a place that is quite a distance from my house. I complained to my head at my PPA asking him to please give me a rejection letter so I could facilitate my reposting to a closer place but he refused. I have been pleading with him for a rejection but he has been continuously refusing because according to him the minister of the FCT asked him to never reject a corp member because it's a general hospital. I studied biochemistry and I have nothing to do in the hospital. I have tried facilitating reposting from the nysc secratariat but they keep insisting I must be rejected before I can be reposted. I have also tried to reason with the head of my PPA to reduce the number of days I will come to work in a week and he has refused to agree with me on anything. He said I must work everyday. I have been asked to start work on Friday. I need help as to how I can go about this issue. Can I apply for exemption after I have already started serving?. I am hoping to get pregnant anytime soon and going such a distance on a daily basis while pregnant all year round would be very difficult for me. The financial implications is also too much for me. All efforts I have made so far from all angles have been futile. Please what else can I do. Please I would appreciate if this is moved to front page for more views as I have little or no time to do whatever I have to do. |

I don't know a thing about football, but I would love Liverpool to lose. My brother is a die hard fan of Liverpool, I need to tease him with their failure. He will hear whyinn if Liverpool should lose. ; |

Sometimes I feel this border closure is for our best interest as Nigerians. Sometimes am tempted to feel the other way round. Anyway I hope everything works out fine, for all our sakes. |

It usually starts when the guy shows real interest and starts behaving all lovey dovey, you start getting irritated because you can't imagine allowing the guy into your innermost sanctum |
