I have tried all the suggestions on firstbank Yes. I used a GTBank Mastercard for application fee and RPRF. Made both payments at once. |

katyamizotta: I was hoping no one would ask LMAO. I left my accommodation and uber pre-order in the hands of a relative. And I didn't bother to check. My plan was once I was out of the airport I would call her. Unfortunately my airtel line wasn't roaming. I had to take an airport taxi to the airbnb in missisuaga. My host had left. He had been waiting for me and because I couldn't reach him he thought maybe I wasn't coming but he left the key somewhere for me and left the door open but I didn't know that because I couldn't reach him. I sat on the side walk and started crying my heart out. Then I received sense seeing my son there tired and hungry and I walked up to some man in the building.. a tenant too and asked where I could get free WiFi because where I was the WiFi was passworded and the concierge wasn't ready to help me. Women dealing with women since the beginning of time. So I went to the next block of apartments and the concierge there a man have me the password and I made my calls and was able to get in. I'm sorry about your experience. However, this has nothing to do with "women dealing with women" but poor planning and bit of ill luck. The woman concierge was simply doing her job - she can't possibly release the password to everyone who comes claiming they have an accomodation there and it's likely you're not the only one to have approached her with a sob story. The man concierge was extra kind - be thankful for that. We can't always be lucky with everyone. |

Transformium: Hi Everyone, Please can someone in the house provide me with a solid contact for passport renewal in Lagos. Thanks. I have contacts but I will not be giving you because your welfare is my concern. Lagos passport offices are very unreliable, Ikoyi especially can be a nightmare. Even the officers themselves cannot confidently hit their chest and give you a sure collection date. I strongly recommend you look for a contact at Abeokuta passport office. You'll be getting it same day or the next. |

I am new on this beautiful forum and I don't know if the question I am about to ask has been raised and answered in the past. But whichever way kindly help as much as possible . The question is, If I have a lower credit or pass as my CGPA in my HND certificate, will this grade have any implication in CRS or in any aspect of the NOC after doing my ECA?
Thanks In this process, grades mean nothing |

Nairasurplus: Good people, I want to start this journey by writing IELTS exams first. I found out there are two sides of IELTS exams - Academic and General. My question: Which one do I prepare for? Academic or General. For federal skilled workers program.
Your usual kind response is appreciated.
Regards Writing IELTS first is not really the appropriate starting point. Reason being that it is valid for only 2 years. Getting your ECA done is a much better starting point because this has a validity of 5 years. I believe you already know your estimated CRS score by using the CRS calculator on CIC website. This is the absolute first step as it lets you know your eligibility and your likelihood of getting an ITA. IELTS for express entry is GENERAL. |

MaSisi: Please house what's the tie breaking rule? Make una no vex o biko
I have an existing EE profile that will expire next month cos hubby initially wasn't keen on the canny stuff and did not do ECA or ielts and my score was low based on age and low ielts. But I've aced ielts now, hubby too has done ielts, waiting for ECA which will give us CRS score of 441.
My question is, do I withdraw the existing EE profile and create another one or should I wait for it to expire next month then create it again? Or, should I just wait for hubby's ECA to be ready before diving into the pool?
Thanks. What?! Don't you delete that profile. I really pray you get ITA before it expires next month. At 441, your crs score isn't super high. That means you're highly prone to tie breaking rule and the fact that your profile is old, may be your only saving grace. |

Ebalu953: thanks a lot. Do I need to evaluate myself and my husband s degree? Or just mine since I am the principal applicant. And which is the fastest and cheapest evaluation body to use? - If he's accompanying, you need to evaluate his too so as to raise your crs score. - I don't know if it's the cheapest but I believe WES is the fastest. I used them. They now request for WAEC or NECO alongside your higher degrees. - Don't forget to gauge your chances using the crs calculator. The very minmumi you should aim for in IELTS is LRWS - 8777 respectively. |

paroh137: Good evening everyone. I'm new here, however the Lord sent me to this thread, said I should ask for ifeoma77 specifically. He mentioned other names but I no remember again. I want to know how possible it'll be to get EE considering I don't have a BSc in my field (Computer Software Programming) and no certifications cos I learned on my own. How do I increase my chances of making it? Or are there other channels of entering Canada other than EE that are viable for me? Also I'm 25. What is this ielts y'all speak of?
Please don't tell me to start reading from page 1,I've been reading travel threads since Wednesday my eyes are about to fall out. Please. I beg you guys. Does it mean you have a Bsc but in a different field? If so, that's fine. Generally, your educational qualification must not be in line with your work experience. |

dgee1: What about an immigration lawyer based in canada? I read somewhere on the EE website that it could increase one's chances of getting an ITA, especially for someone with a low CRS? Just asking, I am a newbie! Absolutely not true! The only person that can increase your CRS score is YOU. The only ways YOU can increase your crs score is via additional/higher degree, PNP, job offer, French or immediate family who are Canadian PRs or citizens. |

Hmmmmm, las las it will end in praise. I think a PGD or Masters is a good idea. It's financially demanding but we have to keep our eyes fixed on the goal. Personally, I have more confidence in an additional degree than in PNP or French. |

Ebalu953: Please I just started the process. Do I need an agent to apply? Agent asking for 700,000. I don't have such. What are the first steps? And does myself and hubby need to evaluate out results? I have a master s degree. He has a bachelor s (3rd class) You DO NOT need an agent. You DO NOT. Have you used the crs calculator to ascertain your eligibility and chances of getting an ITA? Can you rause the proof of funds required for your family size? Relax, class of degree has no bearing here and it's a great thing you have a masters degree. You need to read the very first page of this thread thoroughly. The information might seem overwhelming at this point but in no time you'll know all you need to know and then more. You can revert if you need some guidance. |

beeodun: Hi dear. Please do you (or anyone else)have an idea the criteria Ontario uses in selecting from the pool. My crs will be 431 in a bit but just heard that they select candidates based on one's occupation. Is this position different from you expressed above? h I've tried searching for answers online but they appear vague. My NOC is 1123 or 0124. Anyone with answers, pls respond so I know which way next bikko. Thanks. In this regards, Ontario can best be likened to a thief in the night. No one knows when they commence selection or what their criteria will be. The best you can do is be in the pool and hope whatever criteria they have favors you. In terms of CRS score, you're in a good place for an Ontario invitation. |

melaninpopping: Hi everyone, for those of us post AOR. What have you found that REALLY WORKED and helped you remain calm and patient before PPR? I'm AOR 21Apr, MEP about a week later. Please exclude the following advice; get busy, get a job, save, travel, marry, have kids - these boxes already ticked For me, I have been preparing myself for life in Canada. Location: Due to my intended career line and the fact that I love big cities, I have spent much time researching and decided on Missisauga. Most IT jobs are in Toronto. Missisauga is about 45mins away from Toronto and more affordable. Accomodation: I've spent time on airbnb searching. My target is to leave in a part of town that is close to bus stops and not more than 25mins walk to the popular square one mall. I've found a couple of places and I already saved them. I have my favorite though - really nice place and host - will try to plan my landing around when this accomodation will be vacant. Job: I intend to be a software developer. My computer science degree will do nothing for me without the appropriate training. I'm currently taking free online classes. I'm happy with my progress - working on some mini projects already (assignments). Still in training. Further education: I'll certainly be going for a bridging program at Humber college in Toronto. Duration is about 5months. I will pursue a scholarship but if that fails, a loan will be next. There's a high possibility of an internship arranged by the school (at completion) and that is enough for me to get some Canadian experience and hopefully job offers. The program is in software development of course. Lovely syllabus they have. **I attended a Planning For Canada session. It seems Catholic schools are 'cool' and quite competitive. Preference is given to Catholics. I already have my baptismal card tucked away. Called my mum and told her to remind me to go with copies of hers and my dad as well. Don’t have kids yet but just preparing incase they come along. Remain small make I even go register for communion classes...anything to show proof of Catholicship. AOR - May 10th Medicals - Passed VO - Accra I hope you find this helpful. |
