Thanks for the great information out here. I am checking to confirm if WES would accept statement of result in place of certificate as I am yet to collect the latter from my school?

Yes they do accept. For one of my degrees, the certificate isn't ready so they evaluated using transcript and statement of result. My evaluation was completed last week.

Congratulations,
Can you share your point.
1. Did you have family in canada which give you more point
2. Did you study in Canada which give u more point
3. Did you work in Canada before which give you more point
4. Did you get job offer from canada which give you more point
5. Did you get province nomination which give you more point.
Because all these are points

Reason for asking

Is just that all theses above I do not have, that is the reason I refuse to take IELTS exam because I know with absence of the above point I may not meet 400+

Pls based on your point and document, do you think I have a chance of getting 400+ with condition below.

I am man 36years age + 6 years work experience in NOC A class job.( gas turbine operation, power station) B.ENg + M.Eng in mechanical engineering.
But all the question 1-5 above I don't have them, so am scared if I can get 400+ if write IELTS exam. Since 1-5 are more points and I don't have them.

My wife, 32 yes age + 2 years wok experience in nursery school. + 3rd class's B.Tech industrial chemistry . we both have 2 children, both are less than 3 yes

Pls advice if is possible to get 400+, because I did CSR point ranking I got 300+

Most of us here and even the majority of people getting ITA do not have those points you mentiined. I'm yet to enter the pool (waiting for IELTS) but my estimated crs score ranges from 441 to 458 depending on how well I smash IELTS.

Do not be discouraged. With your age and msc degree, you should be able to get 435 at least, if you smash your ielts. Since your wife is younger, she may turn out to have a higher score than you.

I suggest you use the crs calculator on the cic website. That way, you know what your scores are likely to be.

Please house.
Who should be the principal applicant? I have IELTS of LRSW 9,9,7.5, 7.5 and work experience of 5 years in NOC C plus 4 years in NOC 0 I am 33 years old.
Hubby has LRSW 9, 8.5, 7,7 and work experience 10 years in NOC A and is 35 years. Both Bachelor's degree.

Why I ask this is I'm thinking hubby may have better chances of job offers.
Please assist.

I think you should be the principal applicant. Age is to your advantage. Try using the crs calculator on the cic website so you can take a decision based on the outcome. Meanwhile, kudos to both of you...you both killed IELTS.

Please, for POF, can I use my uncle as the gifter? I'm afraid cic may want to know why an uncle would gift me such a large sum of money. The money is actually coming from my mum but her 6 months bank account statement will not support such a huge sum of money and I don't want to open doors for plenty questions from cic.

House pls advice. Thanks.

Please do I merge the notarized gift deed and other evidences of the proof of funds transfer to the LOE and upload in the LOE field or I should upload the gift deed and other evidences in the Proof of funds field?

Please for POF, what other documents are you submitting along side the notarized gift deed? I also intend using a gift deed.

Kindly tell me where you got the gift deed done, cost, duration and requirements.

Thanks.

Hello house. Please I have a question about PCC. For PCC from other countries (say those who did FBI or UK PCC), must it be stamped or the signature is enough? The Angolan PCC we got does not have a stamp or seal, just the authorizing signature. Thanks for your help.

Oh my! You've got an Angolan PCC?! Oh my goodness! I've been thinking of how to go about getting one. I lived there about 2 yrs ago but I'm back in Nigeria now.

How did you go about it? What documents were required of you? What's the cost? How long did it take?

I'll appreciate if you can PM me your contact number or Facebook ID. I'm so relieved. You've just made my day.

I'm with beem on this. 4yrs work experience is enough and that's what you should fill under work history n claim points for.
As for personal history, the period in between when you left that job and when you started schooling, place as unemployed. The period from when you started schooling you place as educational activity.
As for travel history, you also fill your entry and exit dates for Angola.
The choice is yours to take a step further to now write a letter of explanation as to the events surrounding your stay in Angola...for instance, if you did apply for a work permit that was denied, etc etc etc and you feel it would help your app. If you would rather not explain that period then it's also your choice not to and take your chances.
Whatever you do, please be as honest as possible.
My advice is for you to start the process of obtaining an Angolan pcc now. It does not expire as long as you have left d country and would not be going there after issuance of the pcc.

Thank you. I'm grateful for the advice.

My biggest challenge right now is how to get the Angolan PCC but I'm really working to see how it can be done.

Thanks all.

Overstaying a visa doesn't hinder your PR but you will have to get a police report for Angola since you stayed there for.more than 6months. For your activity while there, just specify travelling while filling your post ITA personal history, do not say you worked since you do not have work permit. You can't lie about staying more than 6months in Angola.
As per work experience, you can the earlier 4 years experience if it falls in the skill O, A or B under your work history. Don't complicate matters by saying you are self employed. After ITA, just state your work history, state the period you plan to quote as 'self employed: as unemployed. There is no problem.with that. All the best.

Thanks for your response.

I hear you and I'll do as you've adviced when the time comes. I'll just state that I've been unemployed and also doing a programme. I don't want any complications at all. Yes, my 4yrs work experience falls under NOC B (Administrative Officers).

I'm aware I'll need PCC from Angola and I'm already trying to see how it can be done when the time comes. I'm presently waiting for WES to finish my evaluation and then sit for my IELTS. Can't wait to get into the pool.

I'm grateful for the responses.

1) It is not wise to state that you have been working in a country illegally and even overstayed your visa duration. Do not shoot yourself in the leg.

2) You can claim the 4 years work experience since it is within the past 10 years. The question is 'after 2014, what have you been doing if not working?' Sincerely, the ball is in your court. Self-employed and schooling will gel but only if you've got proof for the school you went and probably what you studied. As per self-employed, can you prove that you own a 'registered/legal business'. Not necessary but sufficient just in case you're asked for evidence.

Thanks for your response.

I do have proof of schooling. It's an online programme which I started in 2015. I have my student ID card, admission letter, proof of exam registration and school fees payment. As for self employed, I'm considering stating that I was into baking and supply of pastries to small outlets. I actually do make pastries. However, I didn't register any company. I don't even have bank transactions to show for it. Its just a small business which I do on my own and collect cash based on what was sold or the order placed.

As for the overstay, it shows on my passport and I guess I just have to apply like that and hope for the best. I asked earlier and someone on this platform told me since it's PR, overstay may not hinder. I'm just hoping the overstay doesn't make things difficult for me.

Hello house,

Please I have about 4yrs years work experience in a particular NOC. That was from year 2010 to 2014. In 2014, I travelled to Angola and lived for over a year while working as well. Presently, I'm out of job but doing an online B.Sc.

My questions are:
1) Is it wise for me to state that I was working in a country where I didn't have work permit and I even overstayed my visa?
2) what if I just state that I've been self-employed and schooling? Can I claim point using my past four years experience even though its not recent and I'm not employed currently?

Thanks.

Someone please respond. I really need advice and suggestions.

Hello everyone, please I need advice..

About 3 years ago, I got a one-month visa to Angola but I overstayed by a year and 7 months. I ended up leaving on my own.

Presently, I intend using a new passport for my EE application. I hope to do a new passport soon claiming that the old one got lost. However, because the lost passport was electronic, I hear the number will appear on my new passport. My questions are:

1) Even though I'm using a fresh passport, is it advisable to on my own tell cic about the overstay? Will it make them reject my application?
2) If I decide to keep it secret, is there a way they can find out? I hear they can give up to 5years ban for misrepresentation.

Advice needed please. Thanks.

@40manlappy please help out.

can someone pls help me
pls i need help from the gurus in the house.
WES has received my certificate for undergraduate and masters and i just got a mail form WES that my results have been sent to the school for verification.
please i need advise on how to follow up with these schools.

my masters is with unilag while undergraduate is with UNN. please how long does it take for these schools to respond, do they respond through email and am i expected to pay anything?
Please i need help.

thank you

WES sends transcripts back to your institution's registrar's office for confirmation. Most achools require you to make a payment which will be used to facilitate their response to WES.

I STRONGLY advice you get in touch with someone in your schools to follow-up on your behalf. Else, your school may never reply WES.

Hello house. PLEASE, ABEG, I NEED HELP.

I'm presently working towards an EE application. The issue I'm having is PASSSPORT.

I had an electronic passport which got lost last year. Before then, I had both Ghana and Benin Republic stamps on them. I didn't require a visa because it was just visiting I went for. Now that I am interested in EE it has become necessary for me to do another passport and I was told the lost passport number will also reflect on the new. My questions are:

1) How do I go about filling 'travel history' on the EE application.
2) Do I have to write a LOE on my lost passport telling them my travel history there or I totally ignore it.
3) If I even decide to write LOE, how do I prove that I've been to those countries and I didn't stay long enough to need a PCC?
4) Is there a way they can just run a background check on my old passport number and see that I've been to those countries?

Also, I hear lost passport replacement can only be done in Abuja. Is it true?

Make una help me abeg. The thing is giving me sleepless night.

Someone please answer me. I'm really unsure of what to do. Thanks.

Gurus pls help out on this. I have similar issues.

Yes, for lost passports you'll have to go to Abuja to do the fingerprint capturing. I had to go to Abuja for it as well.

Temitope pls how much did it cost you and how long did it take you to receive it?

Also, did you do yours recently? Because some people say it can now be done in Lagos.

I'll appreciate if you can link me up with your contact. Thanks.
