signifies the beginning of the dark ages which lasted 1000 years in which the elect men of israel had to civilize the heathens with the gospel and during this 1000 years no satanic powers will have power over them but after the thousand years they will be conquered when satan is let loose, and this ushers in the european renaissance period.
