The Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has rubbished the police investigation into his aide’s killing, dismissing as “inconsistent” police investigation that embarrassingly led to the arrest of suspects different from those arrested by the Department of State Security.
Both agencies paraded separate group of suspects for the same crime weeks back, triggering a public backlash and allegations the security bodies may have acted to in an attempt to hide the real killers of Mr. Oyerinde.
Mr. Oshiomhole said on Wednesday he was satisfied more with the work done by the SSS, but urged a federal panel of independent investigators to reconcile the disparity.
“Like every other Nigerian,” Mr. Oshiomhole said in a statement by his spokesperson, Peter Okhiria, “the governor is extremely worried about the claims of two federal security agencies, which, no matter what anyone says, at the end of the day, one of the arms must clearly be playing out a script designed to shield the actual killers and/or their sponsors and it fits into the unenviable record of unresolved politically-motivated murder cases in the country…”
Mr. Oshiomhole said in an elaborate statement while the SSS constantly kept him abreast of the progress of its investigation, the police refused claiming the hunt for the killers was directed from the headquarters in Abuja.
He said he made personal findings and cross examination on the suspects paraded by the SSS and confirmed them to be the actual killers compared to those submitted by the police.

am not suprised.the SSS remains the most reliable security outfit in the country and I never doubted them when this Saga was on.I will countinue asking God to shower them and other security agencies more wisdom in maintaining peace in the Nation.

When sss paraded the suspect his party the ACN called sss all sorts of name that they recyled suspect to shield the real culprit !.I L♥√ع the way oshiomole Has been exposing the ACN and lie mohammed's hypocracy. First after his election he praised GEJ,when pdp said they're. Not going to challenge his election victory in court he also praised party then this.

It shd give everyone cause for serious concern.We may all take it in our strides dat it's nigeria police,so go about our normal chores& face d nxt days biz.But its freightening to c how nigeria's police made a horrendous mess of dis very simple crime& wud av almost succeeded in roping an innocent man& innocent suspects,tortured likely to giv a scripted outcome.D police in nigeria are really uniformed murderers& robbers,shocking!

Oshiomhole thinks clearly so u cant bullsh*t him wit jargons in the name of an investigation...dats wat d police were trying to do. Transparency on the side of the SSS made the difference &truth clear.

Dts good to hear.so at the end of the investigation drama,the Nigerian Police Force ended up rubbishing themselves.jst hope the innocent man incacerated sues them.

It is the same result for the general public, often come up with fake and substandard investigations.

Basically you cant compare the SSS and Police in their of operations.I observed that the SSS takes time to get to the root of an issue before reacting but unlike or police that takes decisions and actions haphazardly. Irrespective of that the efforts of the Nigerian police towards ensuring peace in our society cannot in no mention be overemphasized, but there is need for them to all always ensure they take considerable measure in addressing issues in their hands, that could aid their professionalism.

Well, kudos to the SSS, the security organization is really representing but our security agencies should collaborate and work together the more, for unity of purpose and shun unhealthy rivalry which does not profit the country

Police na wash, up till now they are still handling with d investigation while sss has done a perfect job. u could see the link b/w the suspects and the evidence
