Babangida, this is the result of your handiwork. A nation without soul. Patron saint of all evil manisfestations aflicting Nigeria.

First 419 leading to kidnapping and then random religious killings. Eventually a generation is raised that is dead of human feeling. The end justifying the means. Maradona, evil genius. Congratulations.
.
RIP Miss Cynthia

Ivynwa:

In the bolded part of your post above, you painted yourself as a myopic person with some limiting mentality about how far the girl child can dream or spread her wings and fly to the best of her potential.

If this girl is your sister, will you come online and call her a runs girl?

She is somebody's sister and daughter dearie. You can't even give it up to a 24 year young girl that is up and about running her business and carrying her shoulder high. A girl that has left her parents to struggle and make a life for herself is now a runs girl. If she stays strapped to her parent's apron, tomorrow somebody with the kind of mentality some are exhibiting here will come and marry her and enslave her because she is woman that must never work hard and succeed in life. WTFr*ak!

Comeon go sleep..with your dumb gibberish about the girl child and labor\struggle.r u writing a thesis?wat do u knw? Police haven't concluded their investigations but only a dumb hediot will fail to guess wat she went to do.just like I guessed right 2weeeks ago she must be dead,am also guessing right that she went on runz to fund her boutique.

If u want go chasing the shadow instead of d substance in dis story,u will also soon fall victim in a noda way and anoda format in ur ill thought out quest of not being enslaved by a man..

wat stopped her from transacting her bizness in a public space like a fast food joint?do u knw how many people in lagos transact bizness without offices?more people transact biznes than eat in places like mr biggs, tantalizers, food courts in mega plaza, silverbird, palms

We never speak ill of d dead, but don't try to giv dis story a nice coloration least d young girls reading this and doin d same same thing say it doesn't apply to them cos she was hard done by her biznes

naijaspeak: This is just another sad news, a young lady being killed at her prime. God knows being a woman and with a pretty face. She could have been raped by her attacker before being killed. Bad news every day and everywhere around the world.

she is a runs gal and I don't need evidence to prove it. From Nassarawa to Abuja to visit a friend. From Abuja to Lagos and to Festac. She conducts her business in a hotel in Festac (serious matter). If it is the Festac I know very well, then she is runs gal. Festac is the new den for runs gals in Lagos. After Abuja is Festac. I grew up there and I can tell you clearly. You need to see the huge inflow of ladies every evening trooping into Festac on a daily basis. Also, the men (married and un-married) who come around, many of them do not even stay in the estate. These activities are giving Festac a bad name. Any hotel you visit in Festac you must see them, either alone or in groups or with men. If the lady visited any hotel in Lagos and not in Festac, I would have thought differently. Anyway, it is a pity she was murdered. If I see my sister in a hotel in Festac my mind will explode. My friend's cousin (a lady) owns a boutique in Port-Harcourt (thats her side income), she comes to Festac bi-weekly to hustle, travels to Dubai to buy clothes and return to Port-Harcourt to sell them. We met her in a popular hotel in 1st Avenue and I was shocked. Though she did not deny it and even told us that her partner is upstairs waiting for her. Please note, she is a graduate. It is a fast growing trend for ladies looking for cheap income or to support themselves in school. Dem plenty for Festac loitering around. Festac is providing them safe haven to carry out their activities. We need help in that area as daughters may be lured into this menace.

sometimes you wonder what women want

when they are young they want all the money on earth just to showoff.

unfortunately this show-offs are for fellow women, how many guys care about the type of phone, hair or clothes you r wearing

the boyz only care about the pussy not the attachments. the cheaper the merrier
Re: Missing Cynthia Osokogu's Corpse Found In Lagos Mortuary by omosexy1: 8:26am On Aug 22, 2012
@Kaecy5 you certainly have a point. Don't know what these young ladies are looking for. Take the case of my friend's cousin - Beautiful young lady of marriageable age. She has refused to marry. She has refused to work and I doubt if her boutique carter for her expense life. We just don't know her problem, she attracts men (bad, good, big, small, rich. I don't think poor guys will come close). Grab a man and marry (for where). Now, take a look at the lady in question. Her father was a Major-General, worst case scenario the man has a house and earning his pension which might be big enough to carter for his family. I am not joking about this, you visit a hotel in Festac, 98% of couples are transacting business (from the bar or lobby they move straight to the room). I saw a man in his mid-forties, with 2 young ladies in their early twenties (please no resemblance, it was so obvious with the touching from the ladies). You can't just have a nice time in a hotel in Festac without a gal trying to UnCloth you with her eyes or even coming to sit with you and asking you how far? Well I thank God for Golden Tulip (though the place do not allow gals to come in unescorted) and I thank God I have left the area. I wonder if residents can complain to the Government, even Public officers visit the area too. First it was drug barons and 419ners, then prostitutes, now ritualists in Festac. OMG!!!

In the last few days I have seen had my heart torn, stripped and broken in pieces first by the disappearance and death of my Dearest friend and secondly by the wickedness exhibited by Nigerians, passing judgment on someone they never knew or met.
When She was officially declared meeting we put up a number online so people with information can call and help out, off over 500 calls we received in 3 days, only 2 of those calls were from people who actually helped with information, One was my Dear friend Nuhu Kwajafa, The other was the Area Commander who called to inform us of the arrest of the people. The others were heartbreaking to say this least, I wondered how her mother would have coped if she had to deal with silliness, pettiness and undeserved hate from strangers, who just took one look at a lady and decided to judge her based on her looks.
When The sad news of her death broke, I made a comment and said I hope " all those who have insisted she was with a man would have their answer now and let her rest in peace" how wrong I was, They wouldn’t rest, they would only go back and manufacture a more hurtful and painful story, formulate more rumors and pass it around as facts, hmmm it is well. I have no comments for hateful people, I just want to share with you the real Cynthia, the Cynthia we knew not the one who hateful people have created in the last few days.
Cynthia was born on 10th of November 1987 to Gen Frank and Joy- Rita Nkem Osokogu, Udoka as her Mother named her, even as a baby was a uniting factor in her family. Her Mother had 3 boys before her, she was the last baby and only girl.
Her Parents had settled in Jos where we were and still neighbors, We became friends because in those days there were only few houses in the area. I was the last child and so didn’t have a lot of playmates my age, her brothers were my mates and Cynthia as the only girl didn’t have much friends around the neighborhood either so she tagged along when we had our "adventures" and "yawo".

Cynthia the Model and Business Woman

2004 was one of the hardest years for the Family I was raised with in Jos, Cynthia and her Mom was with me all the way. They were there to comfort, assist, cook etc.
She was a tall beautiful and slender girl, we always teased her because even at 13 she was taller than me and the same height with her brothers, she was a tomboy all the way. Determined, stubborn and focused. As she grew into her height Her Mum and I playful suggest she try modeling because of her structure, Cynthia took it seriously, even though her major focus was education she gave modeling a trial and did quiet well as a model. In 2007, she got her first major run way job and I will never forget the day she called me from Lagos after she had been paid, she said she wouldn’t want to waste the money and would buy clothes and bring to school to sell. The first badge of clothes never made it to keffi as industrious Cynthia who staying with her brother during her visit at Airforce Quarters sold the clothes to her brother, his colleagues and their friends, she told me she made 3 times her capital and immediately re-invested, bought more stock, came to Keffi and rented a shop, that was the birth of her Baby: "Dresscode".
I remember I bought her the forms to one of the national competitions some years ago, she passed the screening passed 2 stages and called me one day to say she was asked to compromise to get through the next round, I told her to withdraw and she left. That was in 2011S. She never entered any major pageant after that
When it came to business Cynthia was midas, she knew when to make a great sale, she was never at a loss, her business grew from strength to strength all this while she was not even 21, @ 21 a lot of the people who now make it a point to formulate such hateful rumors were still struggling to buy Jamb Results.

Cynthia the Sister and Daughter:
Cynthia was like the baby sister I didnt have, She was my confidant, stylist and a great comfort. We shared a lot, tears, smiles, laughs, joys ,sorrows and was always at my service. She was greatly involved in charity, anytime I sent a text or posted a picture of someone needing medical support, I could count on Cynthia as one of the first respondents. When she was in Abuja, she would always come and volunteer, run errands, always with a smile. When I get to Jos, she will be at the motor park waiting, Thats if she doesnt pick me up from Abuja. Not to forget my person Stylist, she either bought or chose most of my clothes, most times my friend say "you look nice" i tell them "ask Cynthia oh, I have no idea what I am wearing". Style has never been a strong point of mine, but if Cynthia bought it or asked me to buy it I knew it was good and stylish
To her Mother, Cynthia was her heart. Several times i will ask Cynthia please dont go to Jos it is volatile and she will reply me " Mumsy is alone at home", or when she is in Jos and there was a fight I would call and ask her to leave Jos and come and stay a few days with me, she will say "I cant leave Mumsy alone here now" . That was our Cynthia, Others first.
When it was time to serve, while others would work their service to areas full of opportunity like Abuja, Lagos and Porthacort, Cynthia worked her service to crisis ridden Jos to be close to her Mother, Is that what a "runsgirl" does?
At age 24, Cynthia had a successful business, and was running a Post Graduate Program in Public Administration, sadly people will ignore all that and choose to believe that because she is pretty and Young she must be a "Runsgirl", how sad, we Judge people by our own low and shabby standards.

She earned every kobo she had by good old hard work, Lets even forget her Father supported her financially but that didn’t turn her to a spoilt brat she was as determined as ever to make her own mark and earn her own keep.

The world and people who have no standards can stand afar and Judge all they want but we know who you are and we love you, we don’t need to defend You My baby, just setting the records straight.

The security Situation in our country now is horrible at best, people are kidnapped, robbed and killed everyday, why is it so hard to believe that a young girl was killed while going to pursue her legitimate business? If It was a man who was killed would we have come up with all these stories? If it was an older woman or someone not so attractive would we still? Her crime is being, young, pretty and a business woman. Hmmm, People, Have the decency to let us mourn in peace. Please.

This is a wake up call to our young girls,a lot of evil is being perpetuated in Nigeria and no tribe is clean .Mind the kind of guys you associate with, please keep some level of honor in your dealings with men,I really pity the Nigerian youth ,they are paying a price for what they did not sow.Unfortunately the kids of tomorrow will pay the price for the evil which the present day leaders are committing now.God bless us all.

@madridsta007 I don't know where you got your story from. But I can tell you vividly that she was a runsgal as far as she was in a hotel room with a man in FESTAC. You might be shock about my assumption and that's because I know that area like the back of my palms. I cannot raise a daughter in Festac because of the atrocities. Many of the runsgirls plying their trade in Festac are legitimate business women (they own boutiques, supermarkets, some come from wealthy homes and some are models) and even support their families. What is annoying is that the most of the men patronizing these ladies do not stay in Festac. The Police and even the Local Govt Chairman of Amuwo Odofin (who stay in Festac) are aware of these activities. But the new twist (Ritual) is what I cannot comprehend. Even the case of human parts found in 3rd Avenue is still shocking. People can bring up innocent stories, but I don yarn finish. May her soul rest in peace and to other ladies learn from this. Also, if a man you are not so familiar with (even if you are familiar with him) invites you to a hotel in Festac PLEASE DONT GO OH.

This is so sad. Our young girls shd know that there are predators out there that are hunting for easy prey for various evil reasons. Our ladies are too materialistic everything is not about moni. I pray the killers of this pretty lady are apprehended and I pray our girls will also stop taking avoidable risks all in the name of money.

May her soul rest in peace.

It is so sad how the Press together with the Police are trying to twist the real story, one that should teach morals into something else. If you ask me, I would tell you her death (probably was deliberate or a mistake) by had a connotation of sex and money exchange attached to it but never had anything to do with "Give me clothes I give you money in a hotel room". Even if the Police (especially those corrupt bastards in Festac) like bring some of your criminals in your jail and display them as the killers, you won't deceive me. All I need is the name of that Hotel in Festac and I will get the real gist.

Somebody's sister got killed and you came here to run your mouth that she is a runs girl, if it were your sister that passed away and others are gossiping and saying rubbish about her how will you feel about that with your heart breaking over her death? Some of you that are quick to label women names are the same men that patronize the runs girl. What mentality are some of you showing off here in castigating a young girl that has her business running at 24. It is too much for your minds to grasp that is why you are painting it all shades of colour.

If she decides to pass the night in a hotel and do her business and go back to where she lives, is it your business to judge her down because she stayed in a hotel? What manner of thinking are these? Abeg make I do important things Ojare---- I no get una time.

Blaise, she supposedly own a boutique (which automatically means she sells female clothes in Nassarawa). Your point - bringing her wares to a hotel to sell them in Festac from Nassarawa (Can you sell fire in Hell Fire?) and to a man (her clothing line must be top range pleasssss)and if she is buying clothes (you don't buy clothes from hotels). I know Festac very well, the only transaction that goes on between men and women in Festac Hotels is SEX. Quote me anywhere. Plus the rubbish I hear going on Facebook, 2go, BBM e.t.c. I don't need full details for my conclusion or can you provide me with the Hotel name? I will get back at you with the real gist.
Re: Missing Cynthia Osokogu's Corpse Found In Lagos Mortuary by omosexy1: 11:13am On Aug 22, 2012
@ Ivynwa are you one of them? At 24 and still in school, what are you supposed to be doing - flying around town (on the expense of business partners you meet on facebook and trading clothes? or studying to complete your program for which your parents are paying through their teeth? Meeting up with strangers and accompanying them to hotel rooms to either sell clothes or collect clothes? Please ask yourself those questions and be honest with yourself when the answers come. I am not against women trying to make a living but sometimes I JUST DON'T GET IT when these ladies (mainly single) go the extra mile. Coupled with the display of pictures on Facebook and BB (I BE BIG GAL). I just think it is purely greed.

You are so foolishh and empty, and in another clime and time, it would have been your mutilated body that would be in the morgue. So what if she is somebdoy's sister or my sister? Does that subtract from the substance of the episode and what lessons can be gleaned from it? why come here bandying about sttupid sentiments about sister na d mother bla bla..If you need sympathy for her or your ilk, go host a pity party

The young girl left Nassarawa, came to Abuja, stayed with her friend, a certain Aisha who has come outwith a press release rambling about the virtues of her dead friend instead of mourning her. This Aisha was the last person that saw Cynthia before she left for lagos, yet the Cynthia couldnt tell this bosom friend about her rendevous with her lagos friends once she entered lagos. Cynthia already knew she was going to engage in reprobate activity hence her refusal to tell her Abuja friend who she was going to meet or who was coming to pick her up. If she did and the friend kept quiet all this while, then she should be picked up for questioning.

Having a business at 24 is no big deal. Only someone with little exposure will think 24 is such a young age to own a boutique. Go to university campuses all over Nigeria, young boy s and girls own boutiques, photo studios, restaurants, fashion outfits, media houses etc. so nobody can be over excited that another young person is doing same.

But the fact remains, Runz girls always have a legitimate business by the side to obscure their major source of income which is always male patronage. Many are even working class and hold 8-5 jobs that cannot sustain their fly lifestyles.

Its not ste in stone, but Cynthia must have been doing same, else she wouldnt have ended up the way she did. nothing wrong with making friends on FB, but she would have atleast confideded in her Abuja friend before leaving for lagos. Had she paid for her hotel room herself, she would most likely have met her suppliers in their own shop or wareehouse as the case maybe and not in a hotel room. They were only together in that room because they paid for it and since they couldnt trace her, hotel register didnt have her name, meaning its most likely those boys filled out the reservation card themselves.

And yiu want to tell me she didnt have female friends, cousins, nephews in Lagos? Why didnt any of them pick her up from the airport? Because she didnt want anyone, not her Abuja friend, not her family to know what she was upto in lagos. You cant tell me a girl whose father is a General doesnt have a family friend or cousin in a 16million man Lagos.

Do not try to obscure the truth so that many other girls will learn the hard and bitter lesson. If you keep on trying to justify her romp, many of the other girls doing same will go like: 'oh, she was killed by her business partners. Its not as if she died because she went to meet a man in a hotel room.'

If this theory gains grounds, then cynthia would have died in vain and no lessons would have been learnt. A few months later, we would all be here again to mourn another girl who died in slightly different circumstances but egged on by the same mentality...That time, it may just be you.....or your sister.

A word, is nowadays enough, even for the foolishh!

@omosexy.... Cynthia is someone I personally know. And please, she is NOT a runs girl.

Truth in Nigeria is relative and subjective, once it goes round a bend, you'll never know what will come out at the other end. People who don't even know her have developed a lot of lies and hurtful things about her. It is understandable. What is not understandable is the fact that people do not realise that she has a family, she has friends and those groups of people would want to be hurt with these words. Even the dead in other countries are treated with respect, why can't we treat ours with respect, especially when what most people 'know' came out from tabloids and blogs?

[quote author=omosexy1]she is a runs gal and I don't need evidence to prove it. We need help in that area as daughters may be lured into this menace.[/quote So oga what is your point now,are you God? Why conclude and judge her.Anyway may she RIP

@Madridsta
You dey mind them. the bunch of them are so sickening that I don't even want to spend another second on this thread--very low minded, self righteous things that will sleep with the available women and turn around to "stone womanhood". They are so disgusting that nothing you tell them will make them stop thinking as cheaply as their gutter mind is so Madridsta save your energy. Youngsters and teenagers are working hard in other parts of the world and making a life for themselves but poverty has so crowded their mind eyes that they can't handle or stomach the fact that a 24 year old is working hard for herself.

I refuse to stoop to the gutter with the ones calling a murdered girl runs girl so rant on, I don't even have time to read that bible you posted up there. Go ahead and keep typing Baby but sorry I won't be reading. Her family will open this thread and be reading all these rantings even while their heart is breaking that their child got killed, who gave you the audacity to judge and condemn her? Almighty Angel michaels and Gabriels that are calling my username in this thread, you can open a thread and title it my username so that it can accommodate all the fr*aking wicked rantings you want to rant on against me and the Cynthia girl. Wicked, fr*aked up, low minded, cheap mentality things! Mtscheeeeew. Excuse me biko!

Come to think of it I just came across this thread that has a picture of her killers(syndicate) who confessed that they killed her because they thought that she has plenty money on her.
https://www.nairaland.com/1025841/how-killed-cynthia-osukogu-suspects

The thread simply vindicated the Cynthia girl so BIG SHAME! to all fr*aked up people that dared judge, castigate and brand her! Please kindly stop muddying her up and allow her family to mourn her in peace!

apache77: ------and in another clime and time, it would have been ----- mutilated body that would be in the morgue. So what if she is somebdoy's sister or my sister?

I don't know who you are neither do you know me, you need not wish me death dearie just because you want to rant on about this matter. I hereby present this post of yours before the throne of GOD and send it back to the sender. Alleluiah, Amen!

omosexy1: @ --------are you one of them?

I don't know who the fr*ak you is, I refuse to stoop to your fr*aking level. You need not get to a stage of thinking that all women are runsgirls while you are almightly Goodly you.I hereby also send back your freaked up write-up back to sender too.

Sickening Sickening things! If you were here enlightening young women on the importance of being very careful with strangers that would have been understandable but what you did here is paint up the girl, give her a bad name and even paint other women too. Almighty Saints! Let me leave this thread before I vomit from disgusts at the mentality this two persons are exhibiting here. WTFr*ak!

@Ivynwa... My dear people are either so shallow-minded or have a certain tumour in their skull for thinking that every fine lady doing well is a runs girl. Or every handsome man doing well abroad is a 419. That's how shocking African mentality has stooped so low.

For clarity sake, Cynthia at 24, was a student, PG student and into business. She loved making her own money and being independent- this she had been for 5 years now. Like many people into business, she had a complimentary card, she had business contacts mostly in Lagos and Abuja, she had a facebook business advert page where she advertises as well. She was an enterprising girl. It was through the FB page she met the killers who posed as suppliers of clothing wares, who claimed they supply cheaper clothes from abroad. She bought her flight ticket herself (Cynthia would NEVER allow someone to buy anything for her, talk more of a ticket she buys very regularly herself), she went to Lagos to purchase goods. And it happened...

Please people let the friends, family and contact mourn Cynthia quietly, I beg of you. God bless you.
