Whatever will not work because your owerre and imo state is the den of criminals and kidnappers, highest in SE. Rochas is a criminal his boys are on the loose.

The menace of armed hoodlums resurfaced in Owerri again Sunday morning as two persons were shot by a gang believed to be kidnappers that stormed the municipality in Jeep.

Vanguard investigations revealed that a man and his wife, whose identities could not be ascertained at press time, was driving in his Peugeot 407 saloon with registration number, Abuja, HM 301 ABC, when the gangsters struck.

It was equally gathered that the hoodlums ambushed the couple in front of the New Market, along Douglas Road, while an armed man jumped out of the Jeep and ordered the hapless man into their vehicle.

A vulcanizer, who pleaded anonymity, told Vanguard that “as the man was pleading to know what his offence was, a second armed man jumped out of the Jeep, cocked his gun and told the apparently frightened man that they were not joking about the order”.

Continuing, the vulcanizer said that “apparently confused, the man jumped across the gutter and was about running away from the scene when one of the hoodlums shot him at close range, and forced the man’s wife into their Jeep and drove off”.

Similarly, the driver of a Toyota bus, with registration number BS 365 MUS, who was mending his tyre at the time of the attack, was equally shot in his leg.

Vanguard was equally told that some sympathizers quickly arranged and rushed the dying man to the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri, for immediate medical attention, while an army patrol team was the first to arrive the scene at about 11.30am.

When Vanguard visited the scene, some expended shells of ammunition, believed to be that of AK 47 rifle, littered the place.

Some of the sympathizers, who spoke to Vanguard lamented that the fragile peace in Owerri, Imo State capital, has again been badly jolted.

“If hoodlums can operate with such ease in Owerri, where the headquarters of all the security outfits are domiciled, only God knows what is happening in the rural communities. The earlier government stops paying lip service to security issues the better for us all”, Chief Emeka Ugwuanya reasoned.

I understand where your coming from but projects like this create jobs. If people have jobs, criminal activities will be reduced.

^^^I can't believe you're answering that twerp! shocked You should know by now that there are certain bitter individuals that are best ignored. The fool doesn't realise that most of these bastards going about robbing and kidnapping are Ohakim/PDP former political thugs, contractors, rent-seekers and hangers-on that have suddenly been given a healthy dose of reality now Rochas has stopped the waste and gravy-train.

I noticed this 'trend city' about two months ago, but i'm not attaching any significance towards it until contracts are signed and ground is broken. Rochas hasn't impressed me lately with his too much talking and not much (besides plans for this and that) on ground even when his second year in office is approaching the halfway mark.

Oguta is not Owerri abeg. Oguta is one of the most beautiful towns in Igboland. A lot of people don't know this but try visit Oguta and see for yourselves. It is a future tourists haven blessed with abundant natural and human resources, intellectual and entertainment heavyweights as well as top Politicians.

@ the bolded, the guy has not really put anything on the ground, but rather he has continued to talk and talk on a daily basis with nothing to show for it. This guy may end up worse than ohakrim.
