Some thoughts shared;
- Four African leaders have died in office this year alone.
- Since 2008, 10 African leaders have died in office.
- The average age of African leaders is 61 years - the same as in Asia. European leaders are, on average, 55 years old, while in South America, it's 59.
- "African presidents, before they have been elected, will have led a relatively disadvantaged life, and disadvantageous lifestyle, and that will impact on their life expectancies at subsequent ages,"

Can't you fathom what is obvious? I.e the proven fact that Africans would rather die in power than respect God and even their own ailing body? Tony Blair's heart murmur , a relatively non-threatening medical condition, was enough to render him 'dead man walking' when it became public knowledge.

Meanwhile the chronically and perhaps fatally ill African leader, diagnosed with a life-threatening condition and surrounded by a blood-sucking and sycophantic team of leeches, would rather lie to the entire world. Most times, he will be aided by a corrupt and highly unprofessional press willing, for a 'reward', to hide the truth from a society still beholden totally to and perhaps afraid of the elites.

Neanderthal-like greed will never allow some very sick African leaders to consider, even for the sake of their own health and longevity, handing over to the next competent hand. There is therefore no rocket science answer to your public musing as per why more African leaders have died in public office than others. Issues are simply about how some have evolved their society to the extent where individuals are forced to do the right thing, for the greater good, and in respect of the ethos that no man is greater than the nation, while others are still preoccupied with basic materialism and a primitive refusal to accept that power is transient and , ultimately, to be used to better society.

In a nutshell.

Most African leaders see themselves as leaders for life.

Hence why Africa is in the state its in.

OP, perhaps you can list the leaders who have died in office, their ages adn how long they had been in power before their death, this would either confirm or disporve Gbwae's theory.
