fellow nairaland, i want to use this opportunity to showcase what has been going on in akwa ibom for the past 5 years. many folks here might have been saying all sort against and for the mentioned state. but the truth can only be seen.. take a look at the links and pictures. most of them looks like a computer work. but if you still wanna doubt, i will suggest you come and see things for yourself

In fact we (Akwa-ibomites) are bitter, l advice u vist- 'watsup is dis 'beautification' while d pple sufer in hunger' d mouthy governor 'GODWILL AKPABIO' makes it looks like everytin is fine' ,have u heard 'd solgan"Akwa-ibom' ado(is) Ok"of which He said atime ago, it is d opposite tin out here- dats mockery! 'd state is like a beautiful house where pple r suferin inside it' dont b easily carried away by d beauty of d state,of which d present goverment contribution is alittle- majority d development where done by ex-Governor OBONG VICTOR ATTAH,of whom d pple celebrate @25, & can atest to. Worst of all these d present goverment lead'by govern Godswill, asigns igbo's to head & control most of d firms, because of his wife- why den will d conflict among d Akwa-IBomite & igbo's not continue. Ask any Akwa-ibomite & Crossriverine, what he thinks abt d Igbo's & ask whats d difference b/w a'ANNAG man & a Igbo man. 'dats y d Ibibo & other nations are against d rulership of any 'Annag'person

Was Aka road done by Attah?
Was any hospital renovated and new ones built by Attah?
At the federal level people are criticizing GEJ for claiming success on power which was started by OBJ [like airport n power plant]. What if he had decided to stop the reforms like others would.
Should we celebrate who did what or how what they did has touched on the people's life

a lot of them tend to be lazy. and they cld be content jst having something small to sustain them without striving for more. it used to be called the "etik syndrome" meaning the small syndrome.

and they tend to spend d little they have on booze and women.

although, these days we have a lot of AK pple striving for more than just a little. am from Ak and i hd a lot of uncles and aunties tht cld drink till dey droppd. their lifestyles were unbecoming

so all cannot be blamed on the govt alone.

@sandy409, xenophobia is as old as man on this earth. From time immemorial, human beings (and even animals) have always shown fear, distrust and often hostility to strangers, who do not belong to their milieu.

But the essential characteristic of a civilised man, as opposed to a savage is to learn to accomodate the other person's strangeness.

I am annang and l had my sec education in Akwa Ibom, FGC IK, and there was this mutual instinctive distrust especially between the annangs and Ibibios.

Your spouts, apart from highlighting you as an autistic dolt, goes to confirm these innate xenophobic tendencies that fuel ethnicism and statism in preference to nationalism.

You are allowed to be an ignorant drain on the society but for the sake of your children's future, don't force them to ignore the things you are afraid of accepting and understanding- there can't be peace in this country without mutual acceptance of peaceful cohabitation.

All these are 'parable' abi 'grammar' in the ears of a ethnic bigot and tribal champion like @sandy409.
He hates the leadership of Anaangman yet celebrates the presidency of Barack Obama in US(who is from a visibly minor group in US).
Well, continue to preach but I doubt if @sandy409 n his likes will understand!!
